Thanks for Vid AJay. I have 2 cameras and they work fine through ethernet, but they only are capable of 1080p that way. I tried to get 4K through the HDMI port. I ran it to a capture card and into my Computer USB but I just get bars. Do you have any knowledge about the 4K actually working on these cameras? What am I missing. I contacted the company and they told me that I needed a $1200 switcher to run 4K. That doesn't make sense to me. Any ideas? Thanks!
Yes you would need a capture device to accept the 4k signal. My cameras are 4k but I have to set them at 1080p for them to work in my setup since I do not have a 4k switcher
I have that camera and the controller. I like both of them. However if you set the controller to factory reset the text defaults to Chinese. Be aware of this, my came in Chinese and it took an hour of guessing to get it to English.
Just got 2 cams and a controller on the way, has anyone ever figured out how to toggle the auto-tracking using a controller? I think the remote will, but it only works when facing the FRONT of the cam, and our OBS station is up in a Crow’s nest high and to the rear. I guess if all else fails I could turn the bases to sort of face me, or figure out how to reflect the IR remote signal.
Our church just purchased this camera and will be installing soon! Great video, very informative! I need things like this as our rural church counts in the pastor to wear many hats, soon I’ll be putting on a/v ministry and I think these videos will be great tool, thank you!
Been using 2 of these for awhile - just like a lot of the rest of these. Like you said they are pretty much the same as a lot of the rest of them. They have worked fine for us.
The web interface has several settings to modify in the camera but if you use the remote to access the camera menu there is so much more that can be adjusted for exposure and such.
You either connect it over a network like a computer and printer or you use an rs232 cable from the joystick to the camera. Either one of these requires a connection to get video from the camera to your video switcher or capture device
Hello AJ! Great review, as always! Can you confirm that this camera also has an option for Full NDI in addition to NDI HX2? (HX2 is too losey for my production applications. Im looking for Full NDI or NDI HX3) Thanks!
@@AJaytheCEO thanks we have a One shot ministry and probably will not be adding cameras- I heard you say that the Prisual would be good for that type of Ministry… also does Fomako have a better video quality
@@devonwilsonsr.8183 Prisual has coupons to give back to new and old users, which is better than other brands in terms of auto focus, better after-sales service in the United States, and free technical training,Believe in your best and choose a better prisual live broadcast device
The controller is also known on amazon as the "Hsility PTZ Controller Camera Controller POE Network 4D Joystick Decoding Keyboard with 5 Inch LCD Screen". Quite the mouth full lol. I have two setup and working on each side of the A/V room.
I’ve had this controller for awhile but can’t seem to get it to connect over ip. It recognizes camera and IP address but won’t connect to it. Maybe it’s a port problem for me too.
@@revandrem There was a setting that I had to turn on, on the camera for it to be seen by the controller. It’s been a while but next time I am at the church I will look it up for you.
@@revandrem OK I think this is it, login into your camera thru the IP address. Click on network and look for ONVIF settings. Make sure that ONVIF is turned ON. Once this is done your camera should show up. This worked for me I hope it is the same for you.
After using this controller for about six months, I noticed the keys occasionally get "such" when they are pressed not straight, particularly the enter key. I've tried the order and patrol modes, they work pretty well, but I notice the camera operates the three axes not in a coordinated way. Meaning, zoom, pan and tilt don't seem to arrive at the same time. A little weird this is, but it's okay. I've been hoping someone will figure it how to use the m1m2f1f2 buttons. A macro function would be great for this controller.
Love that controller. We have one we've been using for about a year. It's great for folks who aren't used to using multi-view...they see the camera they are controlling on the screen of the controller.
I have that PTZ controller, it's nice but too many key presses are needed to preform tasks. It doesn't work well when you are in a fast pace environment. 3 key presses to select the cam and another 3 to select a preset. When moving the camera manually the screen comes in handy though.
We use one for a 2-camera setup and I also found it difficult in a fast paced environment. Most of the time we don't have that problem. I thought, if things ever get really bad, I'll get another controller.
I know I’m late to the party here, and in the past year this may have been handled with a firmware upgrade, but last night I discovered using the previous and next keys on the controller switches between the two cameras I have connected, all with one button press.
There is a Facebook group for the controller by the guy that made it. As far as I know there hasn't been a firmware update. I've been asking for one, trying to get him to add ip visca. The controller was designed more for security cameras but adding visca protocols would make it much more friendly for video production. Then we could set up quick keys for the presets on a streamdeck, OBS, or other video production hardware and software.
Hi A.Jay . U had mention about in control of your ( My) network. How would I do that. Because I really want to use the ndi Function on each ptz camera. PLEASE do a setup on how to be in-controlled of network that one self have . ThankSs fully to you always .
I've done a video about this. It is about a full Unifi network and how I have a separate network for all media gear that is separated from the others so no traffic delays will be caused by normal wifi traffic.
Ajay do you its ndi, I moved away from vmix for an atem mini extreme but now considering going to ptz due to space and convenience, if You have to choose between an ndi setup and vmix or atem mini with hdmi connections to the ptz cam which way would you go?
Hello, I would like to know how far out do you travel for installs? My church is located in North Carolina about 28 north of Raleigh in a rural area. We are about to install an a/v system and I would like to recommend you for the job if the distance is not too far and if we can meet your price. Let me know if you would be interested and if so, I'll provide more detailed info. Thanks.
Hi, I purchased the 30X version last week and had my fisrtg uage today. I experienced a 10 frames delay (at least) with the live house audio. I tried both HDMI and SDI. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is there a setting I missed? Gilles
Hi Ajay, Thanks for your comeback. I think I've found the problem. I've been doing this for years now as a professionnal video producer. Here is my setup. Audio comes from the house board. I receive the same audio that is sent to the room's front PA system. I send this audio to my JVC 890. I have 3 cameras: 3 broadcast cameras I use to produce TV adds. My goal is to replace one of these cameras with a PTZ camera on a controler to cut costs (cameraman salary and intercom installation). The 3 cameras are sent into a video switcher via SDI. I use the JVC 890 audio embedded in this SDI signal into the switcher so it is in sync. This switcher then sends the program's audio and video to an encoder to be aired live on Facebook or RU-vid via USB, a SDI signal is sent to house screens or to a Atomos recorder/monitor for future editing and archiving. The only camera that was out of sync was this new PRISUAL PTZ camera. Yesterday, back home, I plugged it directly to a monitor and tested all seetings one by one. I changed the dipswitch from the "2" (1080i60)to the "0" position (1080p60) and as weird as it may seem, the image is now in sync. But I'm still disapointed about the Fomako controller: white balance on this stick is useless. Gilles
