To be honest. I would ditch the microwave and put in a big toaster oven in it's place.. Microwaved Hot Pockets taste better when using a toaster oven then in a microwave.. LOL

@@Erin-Thor I absolutely agree about the gas👍but when I boondock for a week in NY with my 2 batteries and small 100 watt solar panel I usually run my Honda 2000i a couple hours a day to charge the batteries, so that’s my time to also run the microwave😂

LOL😂 The rate that the cost of everything is going. Big meals will be a thing of the past. I for one make my Mac and cheese with other added stuff in one pot and when it's done. Let it cool a bit then eat it right out of the pot I cooked it in. I'm nowhere that posh to dirty a bunch of dishes unnecessarily. lol

I'm really liking Cougar. On this plan, I think I'd opt for the theater seating and the table and chairs. It's just me and my wife, so I think that would work best for us. I really appreciate the enormous amount of storage. That said, I think I would be willing to sacrifice the cabinets by the entry door for more room in the bathroom. I think if you were able to move the vanity into the area currently occupied by the cabinets it would allow for a larger, rectangular shower. The need to use both doors in road mode is much better than losing the bedroom altogether. I'm going to need the potty break ability more than a nap most of the time anyway. As I get older that might change... Overall a good contender for future consideration. Great job as always Uncle Josh! And I forgot to mention that I'm thankful for Cougar not ruining an excellent plan with a silly camp queen...

Good looking camper. Radius showers suck but I only spend 5 minutes a day in the shower, so I can live with it. I like the idea of a king bed but it eats up a lot of space in that bedroom. It's a "crawl in" bed too. I think I would take this furniture setup as shown. Definitely needs a flip-up counter extension to offset the limited counter space. Nice entertainment center. Love the camp kitchen. I'm in GA so a 2nd AC isn't optional. Do they make a really small RV AC unit? A 5k unit would cool that bedroom just fine. Deal breaker on this unit, and I personally would not buy it for this one reason. Windshield. That's a thermal nightmare. Cougar makes a good RV.

Solid but no kitchen prep room, guess for once I will be ok with the dinette because that will become the prep table. Love the bed, the theater seats and straight viewing tv, bathroom. Travel mode would lower my interest but not enough to not get this model especially with the bedroom access door.

I like this camper. I'd option as much solar and Li-Ion batteries as I could get, and make the camp kitchen fridge a 12V. TV isn't clinging to the ceiling, bed's not a wide full size, drawers in the kitchen, great storage everywhere....all great points! Having to grab the keys and go outside to go in the other door to use the bathroom at night during a travel stop could be a bother during inclement weather (but, at least there's access without opening the slide!). I'd also option a sofa in lieu of the competition-center-armrest theater seats. And as far as the minimal kitchen prep space is concerned, we'd like more, but that's what the dinette table is for! And it's perfectly positioned in the 26RBS.

Nice camper, but I would want doors to access the dinette seats. We store bottled water in ours. If you had to stay at Walmart or Cracker Barrel overnight while traveling. It wouldn’t be nice having to use the bathroom with the slide closed. Nice video Josh

We've got the '21 version of this and are really happy with it. Like you said, tons of storage and it's well-built. The only real complaint this the lack of counter space in both the kitchen and bathroom. The radiused roof is great and makes it feel much more open. We currently tow it with a Tahoe, which I wouldn't advise. We're right at the GCWR and just over the GVWR of the Tahoe. I'm okay on the non-interstate roads, but that's it. We've had an HD truck on order for over a year. If you opt to tow this with a half-ton, get the longest wheelbase and heaviest suspension that you can find. It's a pretty stout trailer and I would certainly suggest an HD.

Lot's to like about this unit and I typically don't like this floor plan, but lots to like here. Radius celing/roof is #1 like, #2 are brown wood tones instead of fire pit ashes, light cabinets a true plus. Overall their designers and engineers obviously collaborated.

I do really like this floor plan, overall. I wouldn't describe it or any other as "perfect" but it is well done and well though out. I'm very neutral on the color scheme inside - but I frequently think most interior color schemes are neutral. The counter space is limited, but I can think of suitable workarounds for that, that would be usable inside and out. There isn't much to suggest except perhaps a shower miser. I like this!

Great video Josh ! Thank you for mentioning that the factory in Oregon makes the Cougar a bit different. I live out west and have a 2022 25RDSWE which is the same length as the one in this video. Like you said no front wind shield but I notice too that some light switches & electrical plugs are in different locations. Also I have doors under the seats on the dinette for storage on the east model there isn't you have to remove the seat cushions to access the storage area. The thing that confuses me is that this trailer has auto levelling mine is the same length and doesn't. Is that new for 2023 or is it what the east factory does.

We saw the video on the bullet 260RBS. and this one here, between the two we liked this one over the other because it has better cargo carrying capacity. more storage and the toilet is a little more fluffy friendly. You do lose a bit of counter space in the kitchen, but maybe a work around would be a flip up counter top extension. Would love to see cougar use azdel under the fiber glass to prevent de lamination, otherwise this one checks all the boxes. Love watching the videos lots of info and always good for a chuckle or two.

Bottom up shade is smart. Lose the dinette, comfy chair is better. 12v fridge is smart with added rooftop solar and extra batteries. Add second air. Liking the front window in the bedroom. Put a queen Helix on that bed! The shower is bigger than a cruse ship cabin shower. Road mode is aces.

excellent review. We have the 2021 version of this model. I think you completely hit the nail on the head with all of the positives and negatives of this until, and we agree, much more positive then negative. Only significant issue we have had is that the shower floor was not well supported and this led to the drain pipe taking some of the load and eventually snapping off, and letting some shower water into the underbelly. Our dealer repaired it all on warranty and did an excellent job of re-enforcing the shower floor as it should have been in the first place...all good ever since. Auto level is a so-so feature. Sometimes it gets it right and sometimes it just does not seem to be able to find level. I love the heavy duty jacks but mostly put it in manual mode and level it myself. Overall, we love it and have no plans to change. keep up the great work.

We spend a lot of nights in ours and cover a lot of miles, but these guys do an amazing job of looking after their customer. We often hear stories of the opposite scenario, but in our case we have been very fortunate to be doing business with the right people. take care.

Josh, some people will love this model, but the 25RDS is nearly the same size, has more counterspace, camp side windows, and a huge rear dining area. Only downside is you have to use the front door to access the bedroom and bath. I would be very uncomfortable towing either model with anything other than a 3/4 ton truck or bigger. 880 lbs. is the dry tongue weight, and as we all know, it's easy to add a few hundred pounds or more with full propane tanks and cargo in the storage compartment.

Continuing my thoughts...how can we ask cougar (hint, hint) to have an off road package with independent suspension and a solar package up to say 1000 watts, and 100 gallon fresh water tanks with an option for a 100 gallon grey only tank? Some of us want a incinerator toilet or will use a tent camping trick with plastic bags and gel absorbing material for our toilet needs 😊

Now the door company needs to just make the shade able to park at the top or the bottom so 1 can either bring it up from the bottom or down from the top. Why have it 1 way or the other when you could have either way.

We have the 2021 version of this trailer. We really love it except for the kitchen sink and countertop. The under mount sink is very cheaply fastened and it loosened up and caused the caulking to fail. I didn’t notice this until the laminate material came unglued around the sink. The flat area of the countertop was poorly manufactured and there are random raised spots that are starting to crack. Other than that issue we love this camper. We needed the space for our German Shepherd!

@@JoshtheRVNerd Keystone should have wrapped the laminate around the underside of the countertop to seal the edge better. As for the flat area problem I think there was debris on the surface when they laminated it and that caused the defect. I should have brought the camper back right away but we were already scheduled to use it. You know how us RVers hate to be without their RVs!

May be my favorite now, especially with Full timer warranty. I have come to realize that travel accessibility and not having a refrigerator in a slide are top concerns. Also, the 0-100 certified rating.

Wonder why they don’t keep the counter going all the way to the bedroom door. Seems like it could use the additional counter space. My choice would be the Salem/Wildwood version. 240Lbs lighter hitch weight and wide stance axles.

Josh to me it seems like a very nice trailer but my preference would be the Rockwood 2606WS I do like the king bed but the bedroom closet slide in the Rockwood I love. Don't like sleeping between the cabinets. I also like the rear bath in the Rockwood better as the shower is bigger and the last one to mention is looks like no kitchen counter extension. A big plus on this is the auto level on this one. Wish the Rockwood had auto level. I believe the Signatures you can get auto level. Another great video Josh which you are always so honest with your reviews. Very nice trailer but for me it's the Rockwood.

Probably need to emphasize the bed is a camp king, not a true king size. People might assume they could easily swap out for a higher quality mattress.

Not quite sure why they would not have extended that left side kitchen counter to the bed entrance. Seem like it would have created another opportunity for a little more adequate kitchen prep area, and the cabinet or drawers would have been equally large. Otherwise seems like a nice unit aside from the radius shower which most I find to be a little too cramped for me.

Why don't they put the kitchen in the slide out and all of the seating and windows on the camp side?! The slide out would go through far less abuse than having 4 over-grown people jumping in and out of it!

The door. You can’t flip the RV like that because you can’t put the door on the other side. it would require over 2ft of additional length. And that’s a LOT of extra weight and cost

No, I meant for the slide out and entry doors to stay where they are at and put the kitchen appliances, fridge, stove, sink, cabinets, and countertop in the slide out. Put the seating and dinette with windows on the same side as the entry doors. I know the plumbing might get complicated so maybe not the sink... the sink could be next to the bathroom. Josh, I know you aren't the designer... it's just a thought.

For a 30 ft trailer, ok 29' 11', the bathroom and shower are a disappointment. They should have moved the floor vent by the kitchen sink to the toe kick to lengthen the counter towards the door and add a flip up extension. I think this interpretation of the RB floorplan is a miss.

That’s the trick with floor vents. They run between the floor joists. They can only exist in a single line up the rv

@@JoshtheRVNerd They could tap off of the main with a flexible duct as some other manufacturers appear to do. Even without that if they were to extend the cabinets and counter top to cover the vent it could be directed out the toe kick. The whole idea is to fix the lack of counter work space.
