PRIVATE PICK in an EMPTY MALL
Now that Garage Sale and Yard Sale season is coming to a close, I'm looking for interesting places for private picks. I happened upon an ad for a thrift store in a mall that is closing. The entire mall was pretty dead, but I got to go in the backroom of the store looking for stuff to resell on ebay and amazon and my antique booth. Come with me on this private pick!

Thanks Froggy for a trip back to one of my favorite places as a young man,Washington Square. We lived on the near East Side,Brookside Park area and were there when it opened. It was something special in the beginning. Retired in the sunny southwest now, I enjoy your channel especially with all the Colts,Pacers,and IU items you pick through.

The only thing that I saw that you missed was the Mid Century Modern vintage metal circular ice bucket with either black or wood handles and pull top. Some Mid Century Modern stuff can go for good money!! You changed your intro back round, I liked the 1st one better!! Nice Pick!

We had the Eastland mall in Tulsa that I went to the movies at actually worked at the arcade there and it closed down.it was eventually turned into non retail companies.

Hats off to the lady who is trying to help foster kids who age out of the system and end up homeless and living on the streets because they have no where else to go and don't have jobs. It's so unfair they don't have programs to help these transitional children..and hats off to u for buying from her..

Hi it was horrible seeing all those empty shops. Unfortunately like that in UK, Southend Essex. Our largest mail(shopping centre) in town closed lot down too. Fond memories of Xmas shopping etc gone forever.

See this kind of thing ALL the time. People open places without knowing or realistically considering the costs to do business. Good intentions. Unfortunately that isn’t enough. It’s too bad. When you open a business providers, gov, and agencies start lining up with their hands out waiting for their cut. Sorry it didn’t work out for her and hope she finds a better way to work for her cause. It is a good cause.

Yeah, looks like $20-30 used. Almost grabbed it but she had it priced at $30 so I didn’t want it to escalate my price too much. We’re you a Washington Squar-er back in the day too?

@@FroggyFlips Washington Square was my hang out back in the day buddy my uncle used to farm the land before Washington Square he lived on 40 and German church then marsh came in and bought the farm that was in the 70s if I remember right when they built Washington Square it was farm land oh man sorry about all the history 😆

Why isn't there more incentive created to make people want to start small businesses in these vacant shops? I'll tell you why, it's because they want to get rid of mom and pops shops and have you reliant on the amazons. Once these companies have full control you gonna see everyone forever in their houses.

Yeah remember as a kid go in there in the 90s it was nice they had all the big retailers seers JCPenney and then inside the mall they had all of the big retailers also that’s crazy 20 years can do to a mall And it’s not just that mall it’s all malls across America it’s sad was when I was a kid that was the thing to go to the mall go to spencers gifts and all the other shop spend money have fun he just can’t do that stuff anymore

I think the lady gave her location when she was on the phone which made me realize im a multiple day drive away so wont be going on second picks there. I think youll do reallywell with that lot but not amazing well. Definitely bunch of stuff to list to keep the algorhythm active and happy. Also just realized we were born in the same year based on your email. I use my birth year in my gmail too, 81. Yes please share on the booth. Theres an indoor/outdoor weekend flea market or booth setup for $30. I dunno if thats per day or month and if we need to be present for stuff to sell. As a seller, I prefer the leavr it and not have to be present model which would be more like a booth. As a buyer, i want it to be more like a flea market because at flea market, because people are there and motivated to make sales and maybe less likely to sit on items like you might with a booth.

Bro, I've learned alot from your videos but I've also learned that you need to know when to pull the trigger on everything deals... Plus you also have this childlike mentality with the kid stuff..
