Join Priya Krishna in the Bon Appétit Test Kitchen as she makes feta cooked like saag paneer. Saag paneer is great, but you haven’t lived until you have made saag feta: Priya's take on a classic Indian dish of of firm, curdled, and unmeltable cheese simmered in a gravy made of greens (often spinach).

No thanks. I really don't want to watch a filthy person licking their fingers, wiping their nose and then going straight to the cutting board. How does this get no criticism from the comments? @Giant-Speck
@Giant-Speck 5 лет назад
@Bruce Wayne Exactly. Food has evolved this way in all cultures. For example, gazpacho dates back to the Roman Empire, but the tomato-based form we typically think of when we imagine gazpacho ("red gazpacho") wasn't developed until centuries later, when tomatoes were brought over from the New World.

My husband is Punjabi and I asked him the difference between palak and saag because dishes with these names look the same. He said that saag is made with a mustard green and palak is spinach. However I see you using spinach for saag. He said that people and restaurants who use spinach for saag are basically cheapening the dish because other's don't know any better. Can you explain? Maybe it's regional. I can taste the difference and saag made with the traditional green has a more complex taste than spinach.

Plated - smelled so good - as I was carrying my bowl to the living room I managed to lose grip and it went flying everywhere. Somehow ended up with saag on the ceiling, floor, walls, and myself. So devastating. Salvaged a spoonful from the pot I cooked it in, tasted amazing, and I'm glad I went to this effort coz it's making me want to continue pushing myself to cook and try new things

this dish tastes a tad bit better if cooked in peanut oil, but if you have a peanut allergy ghee is better than both butter and olive oil... Edit: plz dont forget the heeng chonk... plz plz plz....

6.02. transferring the pan contents to the blender. maybe if you took the blender bowl off the motor and sat it on the table, where it is not so high to reach then you dont have to lift the pan so high to reach the top of the blender. :)

Just had some of this dish. So great. I had it with turmeric basmati rice with pumpkin seeds. Thank you for this inspiring dish.

Saag is actually mustard greens and NOT spinach. This is palak feta

Should try this way. My family just boils the spinach and then cooks the mix with spices and ghee. It's just a bit less fat free.
