Has anyone had any actual casualties that could support themselves in a jumping jack position before a carry? Not me and I've been doing this for 15 years. You really do train differently across the pond as you say lol

Phenomenal. If he is standing like that, and cooperating. But what happens when you need to carry someone out of a situation in which they are unconscious or injured, or unable to stand in that position?

Wrong wrong. Better way to do it is carry the person over one shoulder feet in front head in back. This way both arms are usable to fight etc. Also the carrier doesn't have to worry about width issues going through doorways etc.

Ok few things wrong with what you have said. Firstly later on in training both will be waring a belt kit and a rifle. They arnt worrying about getting though doorways and this way the centre of gravity is over your shoulders so it’s more comfortable.
