This time, we will renovate the Japanese courtyard of a guesthouse in Kyoto. The prerequisite is to reuse the materials that were already there. I think this is quite an interesting project, so please take a look.

Hello. My name is Kohei Yamaguchi, and I am the gardener in this video. In the video, I explain the placement of yakuishi, but it is not meant to identify the school. I would be happy if anyone could watch this video. If you'd like, please check out my daily work here: instagram.com/rokkaku.head/

This gardener is brilliant!!! I love his work. He has beautifully upgraded this Tsukubai by placing the elements cleverly, clearing the center and driving the eye to the right place. It's also a pleasure to see him work with his great respect to the materials. I'm looking forward to see the next videos and learn a bit more. Thank you! 🤗

I love old Japanese house it always has a pocket garden. I can't imagine moving all those stones by himself. That's hardwork.

Thank you for explaining what everything means, the configuration and history. I never knew the Tsukubai had a connection to tea rooms (cleansing hands and mouth). I recognized the kanji for Umi, the water symbols in the kanji. I’m not sure the mean of the rest. Thank you for sharing!!

It is fascinating how each stone has a use or meaning. Such beauty in a small space. There is such a sense of calm and peace in a Japanese garden. God bless

We love the way in which materials can be reused in the Japanese garden. We often use old millstones as stepping stones when we design and construct Japanese gardens 😄🌸

Great timing! This video was just in time for my Sunday breakfast! This is such a great project; I love it when you can use all the old materials to make a new garden! Is this Yamaguchi San? He is such an artist! I learned so much from this video about the different stones around the tsukubai!

I am very much missing the english narrator!
@robertbrewer2190
@robertbrewer2190 3 года назад
I agree, However, I watched with English subtitles and then again without them and found it very rewarding. The explanation of the "role" stones to hold a light and a bucket of warm water and to stand before the basin allowed me to appreciate the design even more than a group of "very interesting rocks." The idea of re-making the garden with all the original elements is great. Thank you

Japanese Garden TV : We just liked this guy’s voice so very much. Your filming and his voice were the perfect combo. I hope you guys didn’t have a fallout. Reading subtitles just distracts so very much from our enjoyment of the videos. We had visited Japan just before the Pandemic and fell in love with its gardens and shrines.

В СССР каждый гражданин мог получить от государства бесплатно земельный участок площадью не менее 600 кв.метров для выращивания овощей и фруктов, строительства дома , бани и других построек . И это право имели люди получившие уже от государства бесплатное жильё .
