Something i think some forget when comparing the group with Avi and Matt is they have grown up. They are older and their voices have changed some. It is easy to forget with them having so many videos and not watching in order of release. When they started The Trio were only 19 and 20 years old.

Lindsey is amazing. This video was my introduction to Lindsey. I immediately went looking for more of her work, and loved everything I saw.

Wow, Ive watched so many reactions to this video and you're the 1st to EVER point out that Lindsey is having the time of her life playing this. It's my favorite part of this video, just watching her have so much fun. ❤ Thank you so much, I'm subbing.

With all the talk about Avi, it looks like you've not yet reacted to any of his solo work (90+% of which is original). His range of styles is broad enough that some reactors have said that Avi is his own genre. To give you examples of this, start with his first release in March 2019 (once the separation contract block on releasing his own music expired) "Change on the Rise" - a powerful song in which he sings all parts and sounds other than organ and tambourine in the bridge. Then, in contrast to the power in that one, check out "All Is Well, 7 Layers Sessions" version - a beautiful, intimate song recorded in a church in Utrecht, Netherlands during his 2022 European tour, with just him, his guitar, and the natural acoustics/reverb of the building. Then for something still different, his original "When I'm a Fool" live at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles, with some of LA's best studio musicians and Shooter Jennings, producer of his 11-song album "Floating on a Dream". His catalog of songs is already fairly large, but those 3 will give you a taste of where he's at now.

Yeah, Avi was great, but now they have Matt and they are now at their best. Recommend their live performance video of O Holy Night.

Wow, i love this song but i just realized it's been so long i can't remember if it was my introduction to Pentatonix or Lindsey XD

Those who stopped watching after Avi left are missing the best of Pentatonix. Their loss. Geoff Castellucci and Tim Foust can also do subharmonics (sing two notes at the same time) That is pretty common with bass singers. Avi is awesome but Tim and Geoff are the best!

Avi was great but Matt adds an energy that fits right in. As soon as I watched Sound of Silence I knew they were going to be just fine without Avi. Then I watched New Rules x Are Are You That Somebody and was blown away again. He’s a blast in You’re Mean One Mr. Grinch and if you can watch O Holy Night and fault his performance I don’t even know what to say. Saw them in concert last year and he’s just absolutely amazing on stage. Also, anyone who thinks they’ve lost their edge or aren’t as good without Avi is missing out. They’ve grown and matured and are so in sync with each other it’s crazy.

I miss Avi too! No hate to Matt, they still sound great...but Avi added such a depth and fullness that Matt's voice just doesn't hit. In my opinion, to my untrained ear, Avi's bass just does it for me lol.
