Thanks for sharing! A lot of fun details to catch Here are some tips that I caught in the video.. but referring only to posting on Artstation/portfolios. Correct me if I am wrong or add new ones if you got some - Do always check for basic grammar mistakes - Remove old artworks if they are not keeping up with your current skill level - Only polished work for Portfolio, do your best - For WIP's in general.. keep it to at least 50/50 ratio compared to finished works. And don't leave them open for too long, if they are really WIP's - Edited* - Maybe avoid Ref boards? Mixed opinion - Keep descriptions short [usually a good thing]. Show confidence and that you know how to work.. and leave the cute talk for other social medias [Twitter/Insta/etc..] - Avoid posting other artist's work [if used as 2D ref] unless you asked for permission or it is available to public [let's say like games or movies, can't ask director/companies]. Better just link the artists work if possible [Artstation] I would also add - Do not post logo's of specific games if you are creating fan artwork. Better just do plain text and add specific "FAN ART" or smth so that people know it's not an official work - On Artstation [well, generally..] you can experiment with custom preview thumbnails with a specific style or border to add interest to the whole portfolio.. doesn't have to be just cropped image of your piece Of course, there are tips on lighting, modelling, texturing etc.. but you gotta watch the video for those. Speaking of which, I think my portfolio is a mess haha

Love these notes! I would specify that as for WIPs, the 50/50 was in relation to the proportion of unfinished works in your portfolio compared to finished ones. WIPs are fine, but it is a good idea to show potential employers that you have what it takes to finish a piece!

@@AnaCarolinaArt Thanks for correcting me! I also forgot to add one more I've remembered - I think it's good to add limits/restrictions to your model viewer.. of course, if one is added to the artstation or similar [eg. Marmoset Viewer]. This way the person viewing the model would know at which distance is the model meant to be viewed at in-game If you let them zoom all the way in, they might see smudged textures, seams and similar.. but if it's meant to be a far-far away object, then it suddenly ain't a problem anymore haha
