Handicaps mean nothing at pro level. Jon rahm plays off +9.9 at silverleaf. Does he make 10 birdies every time he plays on liv though? Of course not. Not to mention the courses that pros play tournaments on are stupidly long and much harder

@@Shot_by_Stu no, but he's on a tour making millions, thanks to liv now on for BILLIONS, I was a fairly good player, i have played with so many plus figure handicaps and not one has ever impressed me. Scratch golfers are way better. i question any plus handicap that you never see play well, yes 8 birdies is great, my best ever is 7, and a round with 6 and an eagle and once hit 5 birdies in a row. WHY CAN'T HE DO IT ON TV FOR PROPER MONEY! A COURSE IS A COURSE. I NEVER MADE AN EXCUSE ON WHY I NEVER MADE IT. JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH, But at +6 you should be on TV end of, no excuse. Somethings wrong!

What would a plus 6 handicap shoot for 18 holes?

@@joshoddy Obviously depends entirely on the course and which day you look at them. On that course (par 70, CR 69.5, Slope 125) a plus 6 is perhaps going to average about 4 under with a 10-12 shot swing good to bad. So on a really good day they'd shoot about 9 or 10 under, on a bad day something like 1 or 2 over. My home course (or the main course) is par 73, CR 75.3, slope 152. On a good day a plus 6 might score quite well but on a bad day a plus 6 is going to shoot maybe 7 or even 8 over and it's not going to look that impressive but it's a bit of a beast of a course. Rick Shiels played both our courses earlier this year, he's posted his round on our 'little' course but we're still waiting for him to fess up and post his round on our Championship course :D As an aside have been watching your channel since you started and really enjoy the content, especially as a GSPro user.
