i'm from prince george and i know shawn cable, he has put on lacrosse camps in the winter here and their great, thanx Lax1900 for postin this, me and my dad put on lacrosse clinics at schools and this is the kinda thing we wanna show ppl
These guys r awesome, especially john grant jr. I went to tha national lacrosse championship game and saw him play, as well as Gary Gait's last field lacrosse game, it was sick!!!
i would say your best option is to see which hand is more easy or comfortable once you get good with that hand try practicing your weak hand this way your coordinated both ways and if a defender is on you good side you can switch and defend the ball
Hey guys, I want to take up lacrosse, but idk what hand I should stick handle with. I stickhandle left in hockey, bat right handed, and throw a ball right handed. What hand shoul I play lacrosse with?
John Grant Jr. is leagues ahead of Powell, he dominates at box lacrosse (Mann Cup), the NLL, and MLL. Stronger on the ball, better stick skills, strength etc... Powell is too busy promoting his line of equipment to actually play the game these days. He wouldn't last a season playing box lacrosse up in Canada. The physicality is just unreal , a world apart from the tame confines of collegiate field lacrosse.
@Lax1900 Hmm... good point. I guess it could switch. It's not like hockey where the blade is curved a certain way... thanks for the info bro, I have to say, asking over 7 people the same question, you've been the most helpful. Thank you :)
not trying to brag but i can do most of that stuff on my helix the problem is i dont quite do it like they do it nailing the trick everytime but i thought they did the side wall spinner guess not...but that was a hella sick video guys keep it up...
i agree, most of the tricks are easy and have a simple concept, but if you're saying that you can do every one of these perfectly....then your sadly mistaken
Thats rude man, Lacrosse is a huge sport in Canada, Tracy is a good guy, and actually the top end players do earn a decent living by playing. I played for well over a decade at least and became a decent player, ( not at tracy or johnnys caliber) but I know the amount of hours it takes to become good. Just a stick an indian rubber and a school wall. And maybe some caterpillers for target shooting.
easy tricks but, still a good video... stick tricks aren't meant to be used in a game they are to develop soft hands and hand eye coordination. SO obviously they aren't going to do this in a game it's just for fun.
@jen4dougie4eva You should play female box in Canada. Too bad the US doesn't have it. You get the deep pocket and all the protective gear boys wear in field and can check too! My daughter plays. She loves the bruises and it's nice to play on the girl's team cause they jam in the change room with the boom box and enjoy the socializing.
Tracy coached me in field lacrosse I know him and Johnny grant Jr they are from my home town and went to my high school. But I am a few years younger they are. Also I really don't think that was johnny Grant there it doesn't look like him at all, I'm willing to bet it wasn't him.
@@titanicf0g Who asked for you to comment 14 years later on this comment on a most likely inactive RU-vid Channel from 14 years ago? Really? You’re basically talking to a wall. Absolutely nobody is going to respond to you from that channel. How pointless.
Those were pretty simple. They were alright but I've seen better. My friend's a professional lax player though so considering that those people aren't that's pretty good. Anybody who can handle a stick could probably learn all of those in a day.
sure bud, Grant is arguably the best lacrosse player in the world today. Just look at his stats in a sungle year he won the NLL championship, world field lacrosse championship, world box lacrosse championship, and the Mann cup. These are some silly tricks that a lot of people can do, but to say you a better "lacrosse player" because you can do these tricks is just silly.
I hope this is trolling. If not, you obviously know nothing about lacrosse. Two of those players are future hall of famers, and John Grant Jr. would be #1 on a lot of people's "Most Talented to Ever Play the Game" list. Btw, he does a lot of that shit every Friday and Saturday, in game.
