Hello , thanks for all the info. I need to put my Sigma 105mm F2.8 DG macro lens with Nikon mount, onto my Sony A7iii. Can you please tell me what options I have since the macro lens does not have an aperture ring but I still want to be able to control the aperture. Thank you very much!

We do have a Nikon to Sony FUSION adapter that will let you mount that lens on your Sony camera and will let you electronically control the aperture and auto focus of your lens. Yes, the FUSION plus does work on the Sony A7 III, and we were using a Canon ef 50mm f/1.8 stm lens on the adapter.

Hey there, thanks for the video, good job. I am looking for an adaptor for sony E mounts that allows me to use olympus digital lenses. The ones I found are no electronis so manual focus do not work. I assume Olympus does not have manual focus so it does not work without electronic connection...

Are you talking about Four Thirds Olympus Lenses or Micro Four Thirds Olympus lenses? Unfortunately I'm unaware of any electronic adapter for these lenses to mount on a Sony E camera. We only carry manual ones.

I'm looking for a Canon EOS to Sony E adapter with aperture control that will take some sort of standard screw-mount filter. I've seen the adapter with built-in ND, but I actually need infrared. Some ultra-wide lenses don't allow front-mount filters, so I'm looking for a way to add filters via the adapter.

You'll want our Nikon to Sony FUSION adapter. It will give you full aperture and auto focus control of this lens, but it only supports AF-S and AF-I, so you won't get AF-C. Just a heads up though, in our tests this specific lens only worked on full frame Sony camera, and did not work on the a6000 series. Hi, I have a suggestion. Consider making a shift adapter (7:11) for Nikon to Leica M so that we could use it on a Pronto (13:10). We'll be able to autofocus a shifted lens with this setup!

Hi I have a vintage telelens Porst No 715519 Tele Zoom Auto 4/70-200 and I would like to connect this lens to my Sony a7III. What would be the best adapter to use? The lens has a 42 diameter thread and a pin for the auto aperture. But I can use as well the manual mode. Thanks for your time.

Do you mean that the rear mounting part is a 42mm thread? If so, that sounds like that's a T-mount lens, and to mount it on your Sony you'll need our T-mount to Sony E-mount adapter. Unfortunately you can't adapt Fuji X lenses to a Sony E-mount camera because the Fuji X-mount system has a 17.7mm focal flange distance, while the Sony E-mount system has an 18.00mm focal flange distance, so if you did make an adapter, the Fuji lens would be a macro focus only lens and wouldn't be able to focus to infinity.

Unfortunately not. Fuji X has a 17.7 mm focal flange distance, and Sony E has an 18mm focal flange distance, so if you did adapt a Fuji X lens to a Sony camera, it would only work focusing close up and would not be able to focus to infinity. This is why we don't make an adapter like this.

LENS ADAPTERS I never shot manual b4 I have Sony's but now they r going to the mirrorless stuff I bought a Pentax camera and an adapter to attach my sony lenses. Aperture uses to be controlled by the size opening in the lens.. but not it is set inside the camera. The adapter.. says no auto settings.. meaning you have to focus manually but wouldn't the camera still set the exposure ? Looks like to me a camera would still be able to use it's auto exposure mode no matter what foreign lens was attached?

Yes, any mode that uses the the sensor to analyze the exposure will work even with an adapted manual lens.

I was let down by the more expensive Metabones (it kept unscrewing itself, then the bronze peg that turns the focus ring got too worn off to be useable), and I hope I won’t be disappointed with the Fotodiox. If I am pleased, I’ll buy one for my 90mm ;)

Will the Nikon to Sony Fusion adapter enanble autofocus in video mode?

Continuous auto-focus only works in photo mode. You can half-press between shots in video mode to focus, but your Sony camera will be using contrast detect instead of phase detect auto focus while in video mode, so the focus won't be as accurate.

I own a Sony a6500. Recently I purchased a Sigma 18-35 f1.8 Nikon F mount lens and I wish to use this lens on my a6500. Which adapter should I buy considering that I want to use the autofocus and other electronic capabilities of the lens. I only use the lens and camera for videography work. Any help is appreciated. Can you make some of these adapters for Pentax K-mount lenses? Certainly Pentax K lenses are as popular as Canon FD, Minolta MC/MD and Olympus OM lenses, probably more. Even though the latest KAF mount lenses do not have aperture ring, if you can do Nikon G lenses, those should be no problem because they use the same technology.

Unfortunately not, because you can't put extra space between a native lens and a native camera and maintain normal focus. If you need a variable ND for your Sony E-mount camera and lens, I'd recommend just getting a variable ND filter to mount on the front of your E-mount lens. Our ND Throttle adapters only work with adapted lenses.

I bought one of your Bronica ETRS to Sony e-mount adapters, which came in 2 pieces. The piece that mounts to the camera works fine. The piece that mounts in front of the first piece works fine. The 75mm Bronica lens mounted to the adapter perfectly, however, I cannot demount the lens from the adapter. What is the procedure/method?

There's a silver lever with a red dot on it on the side of the ETR adapter. You have to press that lever down, away from the lens, and then twist the lens to remove it from the adapter. Hope this helps, let me know if you still need help.

Is it possible to get a Sony to Sony tilt/shift adapter? I don’t have any other lenses than Sony E-Mount and it seems like it would make sense to just make an adapter to put between the Sony lens and the Sony camera to be able to tilt and shift the lens designed for the camera since Sony doesn’t make a tilt/shift lens.

It's possible, but would require a lot of corrective optics. The issue being that when you put space between a native lens and native camera you lose the ability to focus to infinity. Here's some more info: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flange_focal_distance

Unfortunately not, because if you put extra space between a native lens and native camera, you lose the ability to focus to infinity and only be able to macro focus. This is why we don't make any Sony to Sony adapters.

@@FotodioxInc Ah, that makes sense. Wouldn't it be possible by adding some glass in the adapter? I know you guys are a hardware company and not an optics company, but I know some of your adapters have glass in them. But, I'm not an expert by any means, and maybe the optics needed to enable infinity focus in this use case is impossible or not fit for a small adapter.

Yes, we do make a B4 to Sony E-mount adapter, but just know that it vignettes a lot, so even in 2x crop you will see the edges of the B4 lens's image circle in your frame.

In a nutshell, these lenses were never designed or intended to be used on a sensor larger than a 2/3 TV camera senor. But you cam use them creatively with some cropping.
