Hi Jason, I always love what you do. I'm letting you know that a photographer was badly beaten up at gunpoint by two thugs in San Francisco. This was covered on the news and two RU-vidrs have started a challenge to bring awareness to this issue, regarding safety, and I think that you would be perfect to do something like this on your channel. The two RU-vidrs are Amar from 247 Media and Vahagraphy. This is, as you know, extremely important and threatens all of us.

Video here explain more then the lady at the Rotolight booth at profusion Toronto(2022). I assume the lady was not as informed and Jason. For my use case the Neo 3 would be the better budget option to replace my old neo 3. The key benefit of the pro is to use a godox trigger. Which to me is a huge plus. If I ever get really back into portraits I think I may have to give this a try.

Is the Aeos 2 (not pro) with the diffusion dome capable as a video light for interviews (1 -2 people ) ? I know i could get much cheaper lights as well as softboxes but my company wants me to buy light that could be re-used in a more professional video studio in the future and think a flat LED panel like the Aeos would be a better investment in comparison to a classic 200W Light with softblox like a Nanlite FS200.

Does the yolk from the original Aeos (V1) work with the new Aeos 2 and Pro?

Thanks for the info Jason! Surprised to hear Rotolight is finally saying flash power is not greater than continuous but I guess I’m not sure what the flash function would be used for.

@JasonLanier thanks for taking the time to explain all of this info in depth. I appreciate the information. I have two questions for you. 1. I have three Neo 3s and one Aeos 2, If I buy a pro (either Neo 3 pro or Aeos 2 pro), do I still need to purchase the presets separately in order to get them on the non-pro version? 2. How do I balance the power between and Aeos 2 and Aeos 2 Pro since the pro is higher power. Is there a way to do that automatically? 3. Why don’t you have any of your workshops in the Chicagoland area? Would you consider that? Thanks again!!!
