Have watched this performance many times, it’s gets better each time. I think the best word to describe her performance and rendition of this song is.... perfection. I cannot think of a better performance by any artist of any song, theirs or another’s.

Je Suis Malade was originally written and composed by Serge Lama. But Lara Fabian has made her own version of this beautiful song. Lara has gone through a lot of heartbreak in past relationships. I think that is why she is able to channel her feeling in this song. She is an epic storyteller & performing artist that can transform these lyrics and emotions in a very special way. The emotions come from deep within her and she gives it her all. You can tell because after she ended this she needed a minute to come back to earth. Even Serge Lama said in an interview that he considers Lara's interpretation of his song to be one of the best renditions and that he was more than happy to gift this song to her. On a nice side note; Lara Fabian & Serge Lama performed his song together a couple of times back in the day! Without a doubt Lara Fabians version of Je suis Malade will definitely have a hard time in convincing the viewers that it is way better than Sophie Katy Crokaert rendition.
