Pro-Palestine demonstrators clash with police on Tulane campus.
A few hundred demonstrators marched Uptown from Freret to St. Charles Avenue in protest of the war in Gaza before getting into a skirmish with police from several different jurisdictions as some in the group tried to pitch tents on the Tulane campus.
The protesters, largely believed to be students from Tulane and Loyola, got into a scuffle with police and locked arms on the front of the campus while lined up face-to-face with officers from the NOPD, Tulane University, and Loyola University police forces.

Just think if these same people were fired up about solving homelessness or hunger or helping veterans. But instead they want to offer their unending support to terrorists on the other side of the world.

Good point regarding the homeless. If not for the BILLIONS we GIVE Israel, we would have the money to not only help the homeless but those without healthcare & food. Israel uses America like an ATM.

I don't believe these people are from here. They have chosen the absolute worst places they could possibly have a protest. And look at their clothes. Jesns and jackets, in Louisiana, in late April. Come on.

Incredibly brave action on part of the protesters, respect to the organizers and attendees. Why the hell do we need a fleet of armed cops on horseback to run crowd control on a peaceful protest? What happened to freedom of speech, what happened to freedom of assembly?

It’s private property. The First Amendment doesn’t apply-it only applies to the government and public places, and is subject to restrictions based on time, place, and manner (but not viewpoint). And the cops are there to make sure it remains peaceful.

Funny thing is they are protesting in support of Palestine which has Shira law. Which I doubt they would be happy about that

Yea yea that’s what I’m saying. I think women or females are regarded as property under Sharia law. @wintermatherne2524 is so right it’s comical. His comment says the women protesting is really really ironic.
