It's really impressive how few people know this game, especially the new video players of this decade. I played a lot when i was a child, this and many others titles of that moment, seeing all this poor new games, that have been developed in this years, and remembering this ones, just tells me that it was a good time for us, the games were meant to be awesome. By the way, very good one, we feel your passion for this game, thanks for sharing.
The soundtrack and the voices were great in the game. Especially the voice of the professor (he sounds like he could be one anyway) who says: "Ah, nice to meet you" when you start a game.
Me and my dad use to play this game non stop, even on school nights lol, hes was better than me and I always use to watch him play, he got to the island but that was it, now seeing how it ends just makes me wanna get this game again and play it with my dad and see how far we can get. I was 9 and 10 years old when this came out, now I'm 32 and it brings so many memories back. You got some mad skills. Good job and thanks for the video.
This and Timeshock are ridiculously well made and fun games - the look, the physics, the design, the music, the story, all of it... And you've got excellent skills at it! Thanks for sharing I'm forever going to work on completing drop challenge!
I once scored over 50 mil on I think easy which would've been the #5 or 6 score in the world back then according to twin galaxies, didn't have any possibility to record any footage back then (not by a long shot). 6 hour game and one of the best video game achievements in my life. I'm now slowly getting into it after a break of what must be at least 10 years. I think I was still in school back then...
This would be an awesome table for a remaster with portrait mode support. The PC version still runs under Windows 10 but there's no way to rotate the playfield to fit a cabinet in portrait mode.
A bit late, BUT, there's a simple and effective mod for that. Look for 'pincabview'. It's also compatible with the rest of the series (yes, including 'The Web') and it quite well.
I have the ps1 version of this game, Would love to see The Web, Timeshock, Big Race USA and Fantastic Journey Remastered for Brand New Consoles Today and Windows 10 and above.
Man this game was so ... Off putting for me as a 6 y/o kid. Everything about it just gave me weird vibes. The fever dreamish box art and title font, the weird voice acting, unsettling music, semi grotesque visuals (especially that loading screen) and overall bizarre appearance. And this is especially weird considering I loved spooky and creepy stuff as a kid. But this was just plain weird. Sadly we never played it much, I felt bad because it was a gift.
This game seems to be an overall improvement over The Web. Their was nothing wrong with it, except it was boring. The table was just too bland in my opinion, and the Music wasn't as upbeat and grand as this one. It's not as good as Last Gladiators but I think I would add this game to my collection.
the web is the first, this one is the last in the series. what a stupid comparison. compare it to brusa cause that was the one before this one and with a very similar engine
