Paid for out of pocket. No freebies here. So far we have about 300 trouble free miles on this throttle body. The design of the TPS sensor adapter plate needs a complete redesign. Throttle blade will likely need adjustment to avoid sticking. Will require throttle cable bracket mods.

One other important TIP I FORGOT ABOUT, I ended up putting a dent in my intake tube to make absolutely sure the throttle lever could not bind or catch on the intake possibly resulting in a stuck throttle. I have over 1/4 inch of clearance now. This could be extremely dangerous so make sure your throttle cable lever is completely clear!

Mr Black you haven't been on CF in a while. I was starting to worry. Glad all is well and you like the tb. I read horror stories about the different tb on the forums. Think I'll stick w the 3 bolt stocker. At the end there when you said "if you're not mechanically inclined don't even try" it was like you were talking to me directly lol Cool vid as usual.

Got banned. Possibly forever. We'll see how it shakes out in the long run. Miss the forum. Some of the best people on any forum I've ever been on. I've been on over 30 different forums as a long standing member in the last 25 years and CF is the ONLY one I've ever been banned from.

I understood at least 62.5% of this, lol…. I’m not very knowledgeable about tb’s…. Still, I enjoyed it and find the subject interesting. Maybe a video on throttle bodies for dummies would help me 😄. That little truck seems like a fun ride.

Yeah it takes a minute to understand all the differences especially between DBC and DBW with all the tuning differences. I am by no means an expert either but I do my share of searching and reading to make it all work. I can't believe I've already put 3k miles on this truck in its current state! I'd like to drive my car one of these days lol but the weather has just been crap this winter. No signs of climate change here lol.

I want to do the same and was really looking at the FiTech 92mm but the Pro Products 96mm is on sale for 80$ currently and the 101mm is on sale for 60$. I have already tried the Amazon/EBay brands and it’s been terrible. I know the FiTech is a drop in TB but as for the Pro Products TB would I really just need to set TPS or would I need a whole retune? I’m asking because I don’t have access to a good tuner near me but I can set TPS

We have a FiTech 92 on my sons SS camaro. I can't recommend it because it whistles. The only way we could get the whistle to stop was to disable throttle cracker and keep the IAC counts around 10. That being said with the incorrect tuning it works and runs perfectly with no whistle even on cold start. Idle is stable. I went from a truck 76mm to the Pro Products and it surprisingly did very little to the tune. Is it right? Probably not, but more than likely you could put it on and set the TPS and drive it perfectly fine. Making the TPS work on the pro products was a massive PITA.
