Well with the technique that you use in the video I would take you down as well. They are pulling you to them,twisting their wrist and using their whole body while you focus only on your hand .

@@kd5nrh Yup, just like it would in the other direction if the sport were one Magnus has mastered. Neither one is at all surprising, to me. The strongest walk up guy in the last one I watched was a furniture mover, who won, BTW, and the strongest in another (against the old man on the beach) was very obviously quite familiar with arm wrestling, and a beast of a guy. The furniture mover works out all day long, not surprising, actually. I had a friend that used to professionally install large TVs and sound systems, sometimes rather far up on a wall. He was much smaller than me, and a lot stronger. Sitting at a desk all day does absolutely the opposite, which was what I did, for the most part.

I love how focused Magnus is when he’s being taught the techniques, you can just see in his face that he’s soaking up all that knowledge like a sponge! Every technique that they teach him, he is just REALLY listening to them, and then he just executes what they teach him flawlessly! His will and discipline to be the best he can be at anything he does is so inspirational! And you guys are too Tom and Juji!

ChomageRider - James is incredibly smart as well as a very gifted teacher. he actually wrote a book for armwrestling called “Strong Arm Tactics” which is no longer in print but is still available for kindle.

Wrist flexion strength =/= finger strength or crushing grip strength I have easily gone through guys with much better of those 2 - one being a champion rock climber also because of superior wrist flexion.

Erik Riksaasen Otterstad - yes, but only after he learns to protect his own wrist. Trying to be that aggressive right away can cause injury to someone who is new to armwrestling

He probably doesnt have much cupping or pronation. When youre climbing youre never flexing or rotating your wrist. Fingers probably very strong though.

I've literally learned so much about arm wrestling by just watching Devon explain things in videos. If I could meet that guy someday and just talk about anything then go into armqrestling that would be a cool day. I also love it when you guys do collabs so I'lle be waiting with that. *My 2 bother and I, all three being rock climbers, use to walk in arm wrestling bars, called "The Frog" (southern California area) all the time and take on all challengers. We'd always let our younger brother start since he was the weaker of the 3 of us. They could never beat my younger brother so my older brother and I didn't have to step up.*

I miss arm wrestling but my autoimmune disease destroyed my muscles, joints and nerves. I was getting pumped just watching and flexing as they were leaning into it. I used to wrestle and did a little rock climbing back in the day and I high school beat a kid with 80 lbs on me
