The only people that should be on the stage are the camera people, athletes, and the refs. Jodi screaming at the refs from 5ft away made this hard to watch.
I feel that the only way to beat Devon convincingly is too just plain out over power him like Levan did. If you don’t have that kind of torque it’s nearly impossible to beat him. Once he gets you in that hook it’s game over, he could literally sit in that position all day if he has to. His endurance is insane !
At 115kg nobody can do that to him. He’s as big as you really can get for that class so he’s about equal strength with the strongest guys. I’d like to see him go against sedis at hw but all the best matchups are shw
Engin brought all the stars of the sport together on stage for the first time. After so many years of competing leagues keeping these competitors apart... the man is a legend.
You can really see what all that non stop arm wrestling does for Devon. Hours every day just touring and fighting whole gyms. The man is a machine who simply will not stop unless something breaks. Well fought by young Prudnik, this can only make him better going forward. Fantastic match! 💪💪
cutting to 253 he can’t get overpowered like at shw and has unmatched endurance. Guys like denis and Levan it doesn’t matter as they are just to strong. But everyone else it gives them fits Especially after Michael Todd gassed him out and Devon added the kings move to his arsenal. I can’t see Anybody beating him at hw after beating prudnik like this. I thought prudnik may be able to get him in the 3 wins format but 6 wins good luck beating Devon.
For real man, and the referees did nothing. I get the fact that Devon can only win mounting all this circus of stupidity, so he will continue to do this as long as the refs allowed him. It's not Devon's fault, I don't blame him (even though I dislike all the b***s*** he does in every match) it's the referees fault, it looks as if they are afraid of him
John Brzenk was there together with other champs to congrats Devon. It is amazing with over 4 decades John still keep the excellent health and shape to pull with ones just half of his age and remain less injuries with countless matches. Devon will be like John, with stamina and passion had them bonded whole life with this sport. In the end, most professionals from WAL are so open and friendly despite of the language differences, the Pride and Sport man ship always present. Devon since the time he entered arm wrestling world, sure is the one broaden this sport to all horizon of this globe and this man is a living legend for the entertaining talents, sport man ship and continuous proving the athletes like John Brzenk, and like himself, like the others in WAL, in the world still can be in the game while the other sports worn out the athletes with the injuries. Devon and his character, his courage to speak when he can and only speak to bring the positives to everyone together not dividing. The legend not only to make himself a king, a star, not to come and walk away without words but contribute and be a part of everyone from the beginning to the end. Devon always show his passion of making this one among the most healthiest, most exciting sports for a long time even after he retires from WAL.
Devon's one happy camper at the end, that's the smile of a man in heaven... he's got his strongest opponents, his wife, his idols on that stage with him.
@@da11king I thought the same for a while.. but then realised how much more exciting it is to watch it live with no spoilers.. the more I got into the sport and watched different channels and the build up etc, and invested myself into it.. buying the PPV and getting up to 6 hours of quality armwrestling was definitely worth it.
All the legends that shook Devon’s hand after the match. What a special moment, that’s got to feel so amazing for Devon . He says he’s old and broken , but his tenacity and determination says other wise . After all these years in the sport and he’s stilll at the top fighting with the best of them. And NEW heavy weight champion of the world . Devon Larratt !
@@theseattlegreen1871 your "gotcha" didn't work. How are you apparent fans unaware this is a completely different weight class. I've seen this comment like 100 times in the last day or so. It shouldn't be so hard to figure out.
My favorite part of this event was when everyone stood together at the end. Even though it is East vs West, these warriors have good hearts and are able to use their talents to transcend the separation of cultures during this opportunity. Even though the world tries to bury people under political pressure, this image depicts the courage to withstand that pressure and uphold our individual rights as human beings to respect each other, to be together, and to express our respect and love for one another. I watched the whole event on CoreSports and it was really great. Thank you, Engin Terzi, for your efforts in supporting the event and in supporting the greater good.
Tetrahedron It’s not as shallow as it seems. Not for the matches but it was the first hall of fame induction with breznk cobra and Goodrich. Having Devon there over Todd is more significant as Devon gave John his award. Devon may have been there anyways though. But I’d rather see Devon against prudnik than Todd as well. Nothing against mmt and I actually like him too.
Most people that don’t know pro arm wrestling will cringe at the technics. I remember when Dave and Devon went viral with 100 million views, and most comments were trashing on Devon’s pulling style.
That ending of this video man - warms my heart! All these monsters and grand champions of arm wrestling smiling and congratulating Devon. Just awesome to see!
devon plays unfair, because he puts his whole torso forward on the table, preventing the opponent from having the right angle, so devon is closed with his arm, while instead Prudnik is much more disadvantaged. And no one tells him anything.
Good lord. I bought the PPV, in the moment I was super excited for Devon getting the win. Watching it back again, 2 things make me angry: The fact Jodi wasn't escorted off the stage within the first minute, and that the refs didn't foul the shit out of both Devon and Prudnyk for their setup shenanigans. That was what I enjoyed about the WAL, even though the refs made bad calls at times, they at the very least exuded authority and demanded respect. This just looked like a crap show.
@@mikail-- I think they both only take trt which I mean most men of their age do neways nd they just spike the levels preparing for a match. Devon might have taken something else while getting ready for Levan but I thought I heard it was just trt but higher levels than normal but that cld be wrong
fishing patriot Man they’re All on something.Lott does head measurements and Devon’s head grew 2 inches from his match with Todd and he was massive for that.
And even cooler despite one of them being close to 48 years old, the other being close to fricking 59 years old, and the other mid 30s but with health issues and wear and tear of a 50 year old...and yet all 3 of them are still somehow genuinely top tier elite even still and can more than hold there own against top 10-20 elites half there fricking age!, makes it even cooler since they are far far far from over the hill or out of the loop. Even Dennis has while granted its just been practice or you could say"exhibition pulls" its pretty damn evident he is in a lot better condition and strength then many of us thought hed be in at this stage. I dont think he can beat levan but the fact it's on the table Dennis can possibly still beat just about anyone else is incredible in itself.....
Man... Devon had a demon in him that night. More intense than his usual energy for sure. Prudnik (who I think is great btw) ran into an old, grizzled, world class competitor who had something to prove after falling from the mountain top.
just 2 loss man... and both of em were unbeatable... Look at levan fkn 185kg monster no one can beat him if devon couldnt (other one is another monster denis) he won every match even chaffee
You had 1 thing wrong there, he didn't not fall, he evolved, you know? The evolution of an armwrestler, in the end either a ref or a promoter. He is evolving.
Hard to say what went wrong i really dont understand. Prudnik has the power to beat him kinda remembers me on jerry vs devon but in a differents way. Probably has something to do with that giant tumor near his elbow. :D
@@josephbach1 Devon's long arm really counters Prudnik short arms. Devon always pull him off the center towards on himself and Prudnik can't do anything. The only thing that can counter it is when you are a lot stronger than Devon. Just like Denis and Levan
Who is here after devon vs ermes? Respect++ for prudnik he was also cautious in setups and played mind games + stronger version of devon but fought much better than italian gladiator atleast(I dont hate ermes too)
They should show the incident when Devon sat next to Prudkyk, opened Prudnyk's bag, grabbed a bottle of water and made cheers with Prudnyk! Total badass moment for Devon!
Seriously man, just absurd rebound win over here over an elite quite special puller in his own right, man Prudnyk must have been utterly confused I guarantee you before the match he was 1000 percent sure hed beat Devon. He needs to take this as a humbling experience and a learning one, but wow dude.
@@danielhicks4826 I don't think so. Evgeny had felt him during practice when Devon was completely trashed and still was strong. I don't doubt that Evgeny was going to Istanbul to win but he probably knew just how strong Devon was going to be
You just have to love the end scene: all together shaking hands, being friends, being one big family, rivals respecting each other with big smileys on their face. Beautiful!
You got some hidden game going mate outside this shit or do you just not give a fuck and love your sport and know all the inside details trapped in the belly of the beast? Yeah mate you know it
lol doesn't matter Devon was hurt or not. He could not beat Levan in any other way. The point is, if you can't flash pin Devon, you will lose. Devon even uses kingmove to drain endurance of the opponent now. He is invincible in heavyweight cuz I don't think anyone in heavyweight can flash pin him.
Levans power difference compared to Devons was just too huge, didnt matter what Devon did, he had zero chance. Levan could have just held him and bleed him out as well.
Im surprised the refs kept their composure, I could only imagine how annoying it would be to have multiple people rudely yelling at you about how to do your job
Why many people complain about that devon won because he cheated on the setup? you can clearly see devon is much stronger at many ways and prudnik is all gassed out, even at 20:18 prudnik was in a better position and still couldnt move devon
After 20min of trash talk and psychological war by devon and his stupid wife..what a circus .. Look the first readyGo .. Devon its just smart and bully
@@Ivansanchezczo he did the same thing prudnik did to Matt Mask I’m sorry prudnik doesn’t have any endurance. And clearly Devon is stronger still. I bet in the first round he just wanted to see if he could beat him on the outside. I bet he coulda held prudnik at centre from the beginning. Keep making excuses.
Prudnik tired out first round Devon holding his strength by using Nichael Todd move to stall and save energy - you can tell prudnik energy sapped! What a move for Devon!
I don’t mind the move as long as the refs enforce it properly and most of the time they don’t They eventually did call a foul but it was 20 seconds late. Intentional slips when about to be pinned is also a ridiculous rule. Having said that at worst it could have turned 3-1 Devon as he could have pulled kings every round really.
@@oldironsides4107 it wasn't called any late. It was called immediately when devon dropped the shoulder below the table while simultaneously having his hand in the losing side. No foul before that moment.
Just demoralizing man straight up. Really really hope Prudnyk takes the humility/ wow Devon is legit he simply was better than me and far far far better and stronger than I anticipated- approach, whether then the - future of excuses/ discredits his win' approach, but time will tell.
WOW! 3 things come to mind 1. I have never seen Prudnik that irritated and tired at the same time 2. Devon’s wife is an absolute badazz 3. Give that Referee a raise! 😂😂
15:43 play at 0.25x and you'll notice that Prudnik makes an early start and surges right on *READY* even before the *GO* came. If you recall the rules meeting the reefrees were clear that it would be a *READY-GO* two seperate words with a gap in between and the match would start at *GO*
Same Bull-shit happened when, Devon Vs Levan. Devon early started on nearly every single time. Levan was way too good to give a f*ck! He still destroyed his Canadian Pancake p*ssy Ass! So, don't start pulling out that Bull-shit. Unbelievable.
16:03 - this was Devon’s exact shoulder lock position with Denis years ago, and Denis just ripped through Devon’s lock. Watching how (against this position) Prudnik seemed to be struggling, where he couldn’t even move Devon’s hand by an inch, Vs. how Levan strained himself quite a lot for a win against Devon in a similar position where Devon’s Lock wasn’t as deep as it was with Prudnik & Denis, Vs. How easily Denis could Win from here against Devon’s equally deep lock, that’s just incredible. Peak Denis will beat Levan - no doubt!
Lol that Denis match was very shortly post surgery AND post army tour (zero training), AND left hand when he wanted right or at least both but Denis insisted on left only. There's no comparison. Even Matt Mask stated he was easily pinning Devon's left just a couple of weeks before that match. And Matt's left is waaay weaker than his right too.
7:05 🤣"the referees taking a second to reestablish control." 😂 Devon was always in full mental control. NOBODY owns a match like Larratt. Hands down my favorite all-time arm wrestling champion. STILL the man!
Jerry is also able to ref a match whilst being in it. Will be interesting when they pull again. Three refs at one table, two of them extremely biased 😂
7:26 prudnik lifting his elbow up in air and 7:42 prudnik elbow is in air lol, 9:23 elbow in the air again and there is more , why do people accuse devon of cheating😂.
@@youtubecensoringcomments7427 so what? Devon has to cut 5 cm of his forearm so that Prudnik is happy? Facing someone with a longer arm doesn't meat you can lift the elbow in the ref grip, that's just a nonsensical argument.
@@youtubecensoringcomments7427nobody cares what you have to say, you hate on all the west guys and devon lives rent free in your head, also prudnik is not john brzenk he cheats a lot.
Don’t worry it’s for show. It’s just a foul and means nothing. They would never determine a match by fouls in a rule set like this. It’s theatrics They wanted to solve the problem which they would under stricter rules The guy with the longer forearm moves his elbow back on the pad so they can have equal webbing. What they’re doing can’t get achieved with that much difference in length in forearm. The only way is if the shorter limbed guy raises his arm. It’s just theatrics.
This event was insane. All the matches were great and already at the press conference before the match I could tell how happy Engin was having all those legends around him. Thank you, Engin, and thank you to all the atheletes who gave everything.
Engin you have done a fantastic job with these events, I am so glad you can bring everybody together like this. Also a great touch with all the champions at the end!
