This may be biased coming from a Chiefs fan, but actually seeing him play in person is just otherworldly, you just know you're witnessing a future legend.
@@captainsmurf6616 sadly we had no OL left for the game. Will instead have to go down as a "coulda been". Ah well. When Fisher tore his achiles against against Buffalo smarter people than I realized we were doomed. Without Schwartz or Fisher poor Mahomes never had a chance. I dont mention our interior OL by name because we started the season missing our Guards and our Center was average at best anyways. Just glad I had to work and didnt get to see the game, still havent watched it, not sure I can do that to myself lol.
@@captainsmurf6616 as much as i’d like to say brady rigged it, my chiefs just didn’t show up. one of their worst games since mahomes took the reigns, and it wasn’t his fault either.
I've been watching my chiefs lose for almost 40 years and these videos bring me to tears I've waited my whole life for this to happen my great grandfather built arrowhead stadium and he's the only one of us to watch them win a Superbowl.
Watched SB IV with my grandfather. I was 6. Been a Chiefs fan even since. We been theough a lot of tough years. Glad I lived long enough to see this. GO CHIEFS!!!!
It’s crazy to think that he could technically retire right now and have the accolades to make the HOF. He wouldn’t make it because he hasn’t been in the league long enough, but still. He has an MVP, a SB ring, a SB MVP, already over 100 TDs, a 1st team all pro, a 2nd team all pro, and over 10,000 yards passing already. Not to mention he has the record for the least amount of games taken to get to 100 TD passes. It’s crazy how much he’s accomplished in such a short amount of time.
@@_SayitAintSo not even close, I’m just pointing out how fast he got to 10,000. Same thing with 100 TDs, not even remotely enough to get you into the HOF, but he’s gotten to 100 TDs faster than anyone else.
He also had a super skilled and athletic receiver and as a former QB I would love to stand behind that line and great offensive coordinator.... he had sum distinct advantages.... his light privilege as I now call it
Patrick Mahomes holds the NCAA record for most yards in a single game. In 2016 he threw for over 700 yards and ran for another 85 against Baker Mayfield and Oklahoma in a loss. He was the only thing Texas Tech had. No weapons, no defense.
Mahomes is the most talented QB in the game by a lot right now imo. his weapons don't do other teams any favors either. impossible to cover kelce and hill for 4 quarters.
Highest scoring NFL game was Nov 27, 1966. Washington Vs NY Giants. Washington won 72-41 a record for most combined points (113) and most points (72) for one team.
It's not just Tyreek Hill.. 4.29 Hardman is 4.33 Watkins is 4.4 Pringle is 4.4 Robinson is 4.5 Kelce is 4.6 They have speed everywhere, its fun to watch.
I’m a Brady fan and after the Super Bowl I can say Mahomes is the most talented quarterback ever. He through a ball while he was parallel with the ground and he didn’t even need that much force. It seemed like he just flicked the ball and it went 70 plus yards down the field and right in the basket of his player (I think it was Hill) but unfortunately for him it was dropped. He is miles better than Jackson.
I hear what u are saying about having a WR like Hill on the roster. But all that speed doesn't mean jack if you don't have the arm strength and accuracy to get it out there. Prime example is how much more dynamic Hill has been with Mahomes as opposed to Alex Smith. Plus, i believe what makes Mahomes special is all the things he does before the ball ever leaves his hand.
Being a pitcher has helped his throwing as a quarterback. It helped his balance and footwork at QB and when he throws on the run you can tell he played short stop
True that.... I played every sport I could but stuck with jujitsu on and off but put all i had into skateboarding and rugby ... I always wanted to play ice hockey ot lacrosse but couldn't afford the equipment to play either one but they look fun and something I felt I could be talented at with practice and my natural athleticism could let me hold my own until I sharpened my abilities... hell Jordin TooToo gree up 50 miles from the arctic circle but he overcame all odds and made the NHL the first and only player of Inuit blood to ever do so and he made quite the seond home here in Nashville where he is still a fan favorite and he was just an enforcer only with very little scoring ability... shame that NHL hockey don't value goons like they used to.... but it shows what u can do if you are really determined but may not be blessed as the best natural athlete... pure heart can take you places kids
What’s crazy is this is just his 1st season playing. The next one ends in a Super Bowl win & the 3rd one...Well, he’s in the Super Bowl again & we can hope! Edit: You can watch Patrick Mahomes vs Tom Brady in the Super Bowl Sun, Feb 7th
He's a complete QB. He can run, he is poised and he is accurate from all ranges. His throwing mechanics are sick and most teams have trouble adapting to it. He did from the beginning what Russell Wilson, Cam Newton and Lamar Jackson had/have to adapt to. He can control things from the pocket and is always a threat to take off on foot and get some yardage. Being pressured just makes him better. He is an elite level once or twice in a generation talent at QB. I am not a K.C. fan, but respect just be paid and talent acknowledged always.
Highest scoring game in the regular season was 72-41 back in 1966, playoffs it's 51-45 (OT) back in 2010, and in the Super Bowl it's 49-26 back in 1995
@@dalehammers4425 As a QB, running makes you more versatile. 😂 It’s like Taysom Hill. He’s far more Versatile than Patrick and Lamar because he can do so much more than both of them. But Patrick is still the better, more consistent, more effective QB out of the 3
Well since your new I don't expect you to know much but Lamar is amazing. Patrick is in a class of his own. The man has a MVP and suberbowl win with a SB MVP within 2 years. Sadly lamar hasn't even won a playoff game yet
Someone once summed it up perfectly (exactly how I saw it) Jackson is a runner who can throw the ball. I'd rather have a QB who can throw the ball and run when he needs to. Mahomes was drafted while the Chiefs had one of the highest paid QBs in Alex Smith. His first rookie year, Mahomes was learning from Alex Smith and credits him with much of his success now. It's one thing to come into a league and play defense or offensive tackle. It's another thing to do it as a rookie QB, a job that takes more discipline and essentially is the center of the entire team. Don't mistake his only playing the final game in his rookie year as his not being good enough. BTW, it might be time for you to revisit this as Mahomes now has 2 SB rings and there are a lot better highlights. His 5 years as a starter has matured him to a whole new level. He's calm, focused and can literally make plays out of nothing. There is no one - NO ONE - who can do what he does. You have to look at the types of throws he makes, the fact that he throws to a dozen guys, not just the stars, that he can pretty much wriggle out of any tight spot, that he can not only find a guy to throw to but can figure out where he needs to throw it if that guy runs this way at that speed.... Also, you do understand that Belichick and Brady did a whole lot of cheating, right? And the Chiefs had that game won if not for Dee Ford having a finger across the line at the snap.
Two years removed and 2 afc championships in the bag I gotta say rewatching him lose to Brady STILL hurts...BRADY beat them in a championship game and raised a trophy named after owner of this KC team...it hurt Getting rid of bob Sutton was the best thing for the team
He was the back up to Alex Smith his first year. He credits a lot of his NFL IQ to learning from Alex that first year. His first 3 seasons as a starter he has an MVP, tied for second for most passing TD,s in a season, 3 AFC championship appearance's, 2 AFC wins, 2 Super Bowl appearance's, one Super Bowl MVP, and one Super Bowl ring. Lamar Jackson has never beaten Mahomes and only has the one MVP.
He learned from a good QB that didn't turn the ball over alot in Alex Smith & even Alex knew his job was on the line cuz he knew Mahomes was ready & he kept on mentioring Mahomes cuz he wanted to do his part & help Mahomes become the legend of this era & will go down easily a top 2 of all-time without having to cheat & get the refs help
You saw rodgers, then look at favre or the packers team, like devante adams, robert tonyan, alan lazard, or the running backs. Their defense is fire too with darnell savage
That depends on how great you think Marino was. Me, not so impressed with Dan! But Mahomes ... he pretty dang good and I’m not a Chiefs fan. Can’t wait to see him and Trevor Lawrence go head to head !!
