I like the pool area at Luxor. It's simple, but that's what I like about it. It's easy to get a chair. Never had an issue at Luxor. My pros: -All MGM pools are progressive (Luxor the most progressive) with a relaxed dress code. -It's a laid back, no frills atmosphere. More older couples and solo people just looking for some sun, reading a book, etc. -A lot less kids than say, Mandalay Bay or MGM Grand. -For $15 (more on Sundays), you can access the pool if you're not staying at the hotel. -You can always find a chair. My cons: -The whole pool complex is rarely open. It's fine, cause it's big enough, but it would be cool to have access to all of it. -Reserved seating can be expensive for what you get. There is no option to rent a solo premium lounge chair (you have to get them in pairs). You can get nicer for cheaper or around the same price at another resort, and again, you don't need to book reserved seating at Luxor to get access-just admission.
Very helpful and informative. I've never been, & after seeing this I doubt I ever will. It's bad enough seeing people at the pool for hours - slugging down drink after drink, and never leaving for a BR break...now add hair, slime, and assorted debris and well, no thanks. Too bad, as it looks like a nice collection of pools. Thanks for the vlog & heads up!
Great question! We got buckets of Seltzers that were $55.00 each, but you get 6 drinks - Beer or Seltzer. Side note; MGM Properties give 6 drinks in a bucket and Caesars Properties ONLY give 5 for the SAME price!
@@NinthIslandConnection Thanks! I just finished your video about The Linq, which one would you choose (Luxor or The Linq)? Context: simple man, don't care too much about luxury, rather good time (i.e., at the pool, a few drinks, nice food and shows)
Not supposed any outside food or drinks, but I have seen people with their tumblers. They do provide free ice water though so you wouldn't need to bring your own. Hope this helps!
question: do the have small lockers to put your wallet/phone in? as a single traveller I prefer this instead of leaving my stuff unguarded at the side of the pool.
Thats a great question, I have been to Luxor many times and don't recall ever seeing any lockers. Come to think of it, I haven't seen them at any of the pools. Some of the pools will have a safe in the cabanas, but of course you have to rent a cabana to use them. Hope this helps!
The only LGBTQ party on the strip! We didn't go in, but it seemed like everyone was having a great time! Thanks for watching and commenting, we appreciate you!
Any idea if there is a separate pool that does not have the pride stuff going on on Sunday to the Luxor. Or do I have no choice if I want to use the pool?
