This is Dimash being cheeky and fun. Just flexing those vocals for the competition to let them know what he could do. Yes, that was his Papa Kanat in the audience who flew in to China from Kazakhstan to surprise him. Dimash at the end kept asking Papa if he sang well. Still looking for his approval. I love how humble he is. Makes me like him even more.

Danny!.....“Opera2” is a Russian song. Vitas is the original singer and modulation once. Dimash effortlessly took it higher modulating an amazing three key changes, C6, C#6, D6(stacatto), Eb6. Currently his range is 7 octaves......from E1 to D8 ......Dimash is the best voice in the world!...greetings from a Mexican Dear!....❤️🇲🇽👏🏻🥰🇰🇿

Yes his father, Kanat Aitbayevtar. As per Kazak tradition, Dimash carries his paternal grandfather's suname. He was the first born boy in the family and in their tradition, he was raised by his grandparents the first 10 years of his life. Even into grade school, he thought his parents were his aunt and uncle. He found out other wise when his famous mother was invited to his class to speak and she was introduced as his mother. He corrected his teacher and they told him that night about the tradition. All of the family members lived in the same house so when his parents were on the road, he had his grandparents to raise them. He still calls them Mama and Papa. His parents once asked him why he threw out his arms like that, and he told them that they always held out their arms at the end of their performances and he just thought that was what he was suppose to do. I think he just formed a habit and continued on with it.

If you watch to the end...he exits the stage to hug his dad super excitedly because he didn't know his dad was there. He hadn't seen him for a bit because of the schedule for the show. Close family. Beautiful people. ❤ Love your authentic reactions. Very much. 😊

Soooo glad you keep reacting to Dimash. And I keep begging you to react to Olympico/ Ogni Pietra 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 with you woman. Please set aside you don’t like opera, give this song a chance!! It’s such a masterpiece, specially written for him by Igor Krutoy (great composer!!) and feels like a “war song” but in a positive way! It’s about being strong and have faith in overcoming your troubles. Pleeeeeease 😁

Very observant! Yes, Dimash’s father was hidden in the audience without Dimash’s knowledge. A fun surprise with Dimash behaving in a flirtatious manner. Knew you’d probably enjoy this more than the title would lead you to believe!

In this performance it is crystal clear that Dimash is mastering the audience, he was flirting and at the end, all the women in the audience or backstage were falling in love with him ! This is the best proof of the fact that Dimash transfer his emotions to us ! If you watch the whole video you can notice that the singer with his wow (who looks very young is at that time 51 years old) tryed to sing his last note and failed and sad that she cold not sing that note and surprisingly she was the winner of the contest !

I also vote for Love is Like a Dream, it's a song that maybe took a few listens to grow on me but now I realise it's one of his most beautiful. The original is by Alla Pugacheva, a very famous Soviet-era artist, and he sings it SO subtly, and even if you don't know Russian (mine is rusty but I know some), you can appreciate the skill it takes to sing so softly and yet put such emotion into the words. He also really holds back in this one, and only goes "full Dimash" close to the end, I think it takes great skill to restrain yourself too, especially when we know what he can do. Wonderful song, chills all day long :)

@@jillfield3102 I am ashamed to say though I spent some time in Russia back in the day I am not very familiar with the music scene and I can't seem to find a definite credit anywhere online either for Igor writing that song, but he is credited with writing songs for Alla Pugacheva and I THINK he says at the beginning of one of the performances that it's a song he wrote. I didn't realise he had been around that long, but I guess he's not that young come to think of it, late 60s I think - but Alla is even older, nearly 80, I think.

I am not up on music ,I only know what I have read in the comments , I think this is a famous French song but I don’t know who sang it or wrote it. I have never listened to music a great deal but since lockdown I have discovered Dimash and Pantetonix and have really enjoyed both but Dimash is my favourite. Keep safe x

This was on the chinese Singer show in 2017 and it's a competition show. He didn't speak chinese or english and had someone to translate to and for him to but he is a fast learner and soon learned english. There are other great singer from mongolia and has an amazing Way of singing and his name is tengri and I am sure you will enjoy it too..check it out please and thank you for being a great reactor..

The production - is kind of boring and a bit tacky with the focus on the female fan´s reaction- His tecnic is impressive - I mean who is better ? But for me this is more of an impressive "olympic songsport" than art . It would be interesting to hear him sing

I wish you would balance the audio better. The video is at least 6 to 10 decibels quieter than your voice. It makes it impossible for me to watch your videos, and being of Swedish decent that frustrates me even more.
