They totally made this their own, but stayed true to the original score. Adding the vocal effects, and replacing the 2nd guitar with the keyboard, (to give Justin a part on this as you said), was really all they changed. Sam, Abi, & Ethan, nailed the entire song as Metallica did. This was done as a result winning of a Fan poll, of what cover they should do next. They said it was the hardest cover they ever had to learn, but accepted the challenge with true grit. Most die hard Metallica fans do not like this version, as they believe it shouldn't be changed. But how is that possible with a female lead, and making sure all the members have a role in it? I give them major props for even attempting this, and doing a great job of it.

Cool. Yeah as I think I mentioned they might have chosen a more "metal" sound for the keyboard to make it more in line with the original but hey, great job anyway.

Actually the keyboard also gives them their "vamp" metal sound as well. 100% correct on fill in place of the second guitar.

I think that the keyboard works because the synth sound gives the song an eerie feeling. Perfect for a song about somebody dying from drug addiction.

This was filmed at a metal works factory. They made the drum Riser for free if they shot the video there

No one can sing it like Hetfield because no one else is Hetfield . The only time Melody tries to vary her voice a little is when she is doing a RJD song or Janis Joplin .

@@joewilson820 Yes certainly, because that's her usual singing style. All I mean is, she sounded the same on those songs as she did on Crazy Train, The Trooper, and so on. That's all I mean.

A great reaction this is said to be their hardest cover to learn, they certainly pulled it off , they all did a great job , the keyboards aren't in the original they take the place of the second guitar and Liliac never try' to be exactly like the band they are covering and always put their own slant on the song .Melody certainly sounded fangtastic and Sam played up a storm .but for me Abigail was the star her drumming was 9 minutes of pure energy .Fang4life RORH .

I'm loving how Ethan ar 14 yrs, really digs into the bass lines hard. Adds fills and some runs and sounds crunchy as hell. Imho he sounds better than Jason, but not up to Rob Trujillo or CB.

@@dannytheswedishmusixian1513 seems like it. He mostly played on downbeat and played it kinda safe. Even on AJFA when he was acclimated to the band he didn't really go after the melody hard and seemed like he was just there.

@@dannytheswedishmusixian1513 right on. I started listening to Metallica back in 84 when I saw them play the Woodstock in Hollywood. I prefer their older music for the rage and speed. Their newer music has a different vibe and character that's also killer. Just not on my daily playlist. I still Jam my RTL and MOP every week. Which is one of the reasons I love Liliacs cover. They hit all the main points and follow all the hardest to play segments to pay tribute to the song and the music then add a little Liliac spice to it. Makes it feel young again.

Thanks for the great reaction. One thing the we're trying to do with keyboards was fill the gap left by only 1 guitar , so yeah I think a little less edgy than the original. Most people could cope with that and Melody's vocals, only saw a few really hardcore reactors that couldn't

@@dannytheswedishmusixian1513 Jeff was answering what you said in the reaction. You couldn't remember if the Megadeth song was Symphony of Destruction or Symphony for Destruction. Trust me, having learned my wife's native language of Romanian, I know how tough the prepositions can be when speaking in a second language. You're doing a great job with English, but those prepositions can be tough. Have a good one Danny.
