Well done Ray. I’m a surfer. It was my full on lifestyle but now Jesus is first. Surfers are some of the most pride filled people on the face of the earth. I know I was one of them. Witnessing to surfers can be a hard slog. Great to see your interview with PT.

Here is my testimony for anyone who would like to give it a read. I am a 30 year old from North Dakota born again believer for a year now, by the way I love your videos Ray, been watching you since last October. But here it goes... I lived my entire life in darkness being lost and had no idea from the moment I was born until I was 29 years old. At 12 years old I was prescribed anti depressant medication I thought too much of reality, the not knowing of what happens in the afterlife that terrified me to where I would have these mini panic attacks whenever I thought about it too much. I guess I thought no one will ever know what happens after death so why worry about it. And as I got older I felt like I slowly learned how to block out those thoughts by the time I was in my late teen years then that’s when the addictions started. By the time I was in my 20’s it’s like the thoughts practically disappeared to where it was never brought to mind what happens after death. If you would’ve asked me what I believed what happens in the afterlife before I was a believer I would’ve had different ideas. I might’ve said annihilation or reincarnation only because these are things I heard from other people in my life. I also believed at one point that when our soul leaves our body we just wander the earth until the earth was destroyed then we were annihilated. I was skeptical about a lot of things including the Bible I wasn’t sure if Heaven was real but I didn’t wanna say it was fake. I didn’t know what to believe until the summer of 2020 when my life changed forever, I was scrolling through social media and I was seeing things that started making me think hard about my life, things that were saying “get right with God before it’s too late” I had also come across a Bible verse and I’m not sure if I ever read a Bible verse in my entire life and the verse was 2 Chronicles 7:14 which says “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways then will I hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” Then I was seeing myself the way our Holy God was seeing me and it was horrifying which I’ve never saw in that way my entire life. I’ve never once cared about what God thought of me until that summer and I could not stop thinking about it no matter how hard I tried the more I tried the worse it got. It’s like a light came on and I couldn’t turn it off, I was caring so much of what He thought of me. It felt like God was showing me how deceitfully wicked my heart was by giving me a new heart and looking at my former self and heart was horrifying. But at the same time I was thinking maybe I’m just going insane. I did think at one point maybe I was losing my mind because I was looking up symptoms to schizophrenia. I made an appointment to see a doctor and she prescribed me depression and anxiety medication and when I took them that only made things worse also. The doctor also recommended counseling but I knew that would not help me at all. There was a part of me that didn’t want to believe what was happening because of those addictions in my life that I didn’t want to get rid of that I knew were wrong. So I was online trying to justify them just so I could hold onto them There were times in my life I heard about Jesus and what He did on the cross but it never made sense to me. Sometime after my visit with the doctor I found myself watching videos about sin and forgiveness and finally for the first time in my life what Jesus did on the cross made sense in my lost condition, it wasn’t too long after that I found myself at the edge of my bed on my knees crying to God and telling Him how sorry I was for my long life of failures and mistakes and how ignorant I was. It wasn’t long after this I found myself reading the sinners prayer and I was crying feeling a change in me that was taking place. What happened that summer of 2020 was a miracle and I thank God for that all the time. At this time I wanted to find a church that I could start attending and it was shocking to find out that where I had been living for 2 years my church was practically in my backyard! That’s when I met Pastor Paul and he gave me the Bible I still have and read today. About a week later I came across this article titled “God Calls Sinners to Salvation” and it was talking about the Holy Spirit convicting the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment. It wasn’t until around this time I heard of being born again I’ve not once in my life heard of being born again until it was happening to me, while reading this article I was crying my eyes out more than I ever cried my entire life because everything that was happening finally made sense and I wasn’t going insane. I was thanking God for the work He had been doing in my life. I knew I was being led toward the Bible and I also knew when I read it I’ll believe every word it said and I still do to this day. I’ve never once looked at sin the way I do now. I also not once heard of the word “repent” until last summer also. Living in addiction to multiple things was bondage that I couldn’t get out of. I always envisioned myself in my pre-conversion days being stuck in those until the day I died. I used to always think “I can quit if I want to I just don’t want to” until it came time to actually try to quit and it almost seemed impossible and I thought after those attempts I’ll never quit and I was completely fine with that at that time. I wasn’t happy when I was sober I felt like the only way I can find true happiness is through not being sober minded and when I was sober I was miserable. After being brought into the light and seeing the truth I knew God was telling me I had to let them go because they weren’t for me anymore. And I know I would’ve been stuck in my addictions until the day I died if it wasn’t for Him. I also stumbled at a time in my walk by going back to my old ways and going back to sin and I only did so by taking Gods grace for granted by trampling His grace underfoot by thinking I’m adopted into Gods family it’s okay to sin because He will forgive me anyway, but no! That is not how it works at all! Being saved by Gods grace is not a license to sin and I’ve learned a lesson from that time in my life and now my faith is stronger than it’s ever been! Whenever temptations to sin come now I always think about John 14:15 when Jesus said “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.” I don’t deserve what He has done for me. I feel so unworthy. I feel like the most unworthy person here. But I know how unconditional His love is for His children and that’s what keeps me going everyday. So that is my story about how I once was lost but now I am found. I’ve got Jesus, how could I want more!

God wrote the Bible by guiding men using the Holy Spirit. If you write a letter, you don't say your pencil wrote it. You wrote it by guiding the pencil along the paper. The people who wrote down the scriptures are the pencil, and God is the author.

It seems that, after watching one of these videos, I typically like to add some encouragement to others to hand out gospel tracts. First, I have a leather business card holder that I keep in my pocket. On one side of the holder, I put the 'Smart Card' tracts. When I go shopping, I place about 15 of these in six packs of beer. Marc Cahill, a wonderful brother and author, is the one who suggested leaving tracts in six packs. Once, he gave someone a tract who said, "Hey, I got one of these in a six pack." It is a great (non-confrontational) way to share the gospel. On the other side of my business card holder, I have a Spanish tract in booklet form (since I love Mexican food), and a couple of 'Think About It" booklets. You can place a few dollars in the middle of the booklet to leave as a tip. That is, it is so much easier for me to leave a tract with someone if there is money along with it! May the Lord give me more boldness in handing them out, but this is my starting point in Jesus Christ. I hope this encourages someone to share the gospel. Marc Cahill also has a book entitled, "The One Thing You Cannot Do In Heaven." Can you guess what that is? The one thing you cannot do in heaven is to share the gospel. Think of one hundred years from now. What will have been important about your life? Your new boat? Job possibilities? It is only that you have assurance of salvation through the Holy Spirit (see Romans 8.16) and that you worked in the harvest, sharing your faith with a dying and lost world. I am not much given to clever sayings, but one sort of sticks in my memory: "Only one life, 'twill soon be past. Only what's done for Christ will last." May the Lord bless you as you seek to be obedient in sharing the gospel. Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

It is an encouragement to me because I sometimes get discouraged when I have a negative encounter like this. 1 Corinthians 15:58 ...Stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

I'm glad that _somebody_ listened! But for the ones who did not, unless God allows them to hear the Gospel one more time and unless they repent, those three men (and others like them who won't even listen), not only will they regret not listening to the Gospel, they will regret the day they ever met Ray Comfort, the man with the answer to eternal life and how to get it, and yet they rejected it. They will remember and regret that day for all eternity.

Ray, I never got to meet you, but my parents did. You came to our little church next to Los Angeles in the early to mid nineties. You left a lot of tracts and 'comics' behind. I still have some of them. I still have two of your books as well. Comfort for the Feeble-Minded is a great book. I read it many times as a kid. Our pastor was a big fan of you. He may have been converted by you in the 1970's, but I'm not exactly sure what his story was. I'm so glad you're still out there fighting. You've been doing it for so long and it's encouraging to see you still professing Christ in public to individuals like this. I went to Worldview Academy a few times as a teen to learn how to do what you do, but they are not very good at teaching young people to profess Christ in a loving way. The encounters I had with people during our mandatory street-evangelism days left a bad taste in my mouth, and I'm afraid of messing up again like I did during those encounters.

I have a niece and a daughter who live near Huntington Beach. I often pray that the Lord will arrange a meeting between them and you, Ray. May God continue to use you in reaching others with the gospel! I need to invest in some Living Waters tracts, I may have a hard time walking up to strangers to talk to them about Jesus, but I can certainly pass out tracts whenever I'm out and about. I love watching your videos and hearing the way you share the gospel!

Ray, I have a question, how do you start these conversations with someone you meet say in a store? For example there was a kid that was helping me at the store the other day wearing a Pentagram, how do I start the conversation with this person? I’m over 70, but last night an idea came to me for young strong Christian men to accomplish, I.e. a River Ministry, where they take the gospel up the Nile, Amazon etc. with Christ films, tracts, preachers and translators to unreached villages.

Ray, it has been good for me to see you interact with person who is so hardened against God. It enables me to be encouraged that when I encounter a stone wall from stone heart to do my best to share the gospel. On side note. Thoughts on this approach. What are your thoughts on what type of inheritance you will get when life is over? Eternal life eternal damnation. In front of Christ he tells us this is your inheritance. I'm so humbled by that .

I used Rays witnessing technique (inspired by Jesus's gentle, kind, loving - but effective approach) to witness to a hospital administrator a couple of days ago while at the hospital. She said the sinner's prayer withh me and accepted Jesus into her life. God is good. I've found the way Ray witnesses to people to be the easiest ever.

That was quite amazing. That quote from Spurgeon is my favorite, and keeps me going too. Yes, even the demons believe and tremble, and unfortunately so many think they know Jesus when Jesus says that those who call Him Lord, Lord and stay in their sins HE will say, "Go away, I never knew you." Thank the Lord that HE took me from being a false conversion to trusting in Him daily and reading the Bible every day for sixteen years. Ray, I recently did a video and read a day in your 365 Red Letters of Jesus book as well as showing your car clock that said 9:23. There are a lot of Hollywood movies that happen to have that number in them, but for born again Christians we are the wise virgins that watch for the Lord to rapture us as the Bible prophesies. Revelation 3:10-11 is our promise to escape the Tribulation. I hope that some of those surfers will be raptured with us. Maranatha.

That's funny! Camera shows a pair of legs of the man refusing to be interviewed; as Ray says, "He was too tall anyway." I doubt that most people realize just how great a work God has done in Ray to control his wit and tongue. I am endeavoring to be more like him.
