It's a great ride. Love the riders coming down that point and wonder why we're going up?! Hahahahaaa. Harder than some of the Colorado rides I'm able to do every year. And it's pretty rewarding to finish above the clouds...

Curious... What Colorado rides are you comparing it to? I am a Coloradan - heading out to Maui next week... Thinking about making an attempt. I have ridden Pikes Peak and Mount Evans... live in Boulder... But am not in as good of riding shape as I was the year I did Pikes and Evans. Think I should give it a rip anyways?

What about the climb up to Mauna Kea? 60 miles and climb to 13,796 ft? Not questioning the ride you did because it's a helluva an acheivement but Mauna Kea is the longest and the highest.
