Patrick Dikmann and Ivan Floch battle over the matchup of the Top 8: Affinity versus Colorless Eldrazi. Which colorless monstrosity will reign supreme?
It's really fun reading old comments about how "beatable" Eldrazi was, and how they had the perfect counter to it. Ah, the early days of Eldrazi Winter, when people still had a lot of hope.
At 10:40 he could have just attacked and then equip the plating at instant speed to whichever creature didn't get blocked. The opponent had an urborg in play.
At 33:30, when Floch cracks Racket Bomb, why didn't Dickman put all the counters fom the Arcbound Ravagers in the Inkmoth Nexus to kill Floch next turn by poison damage? What am I missing there?
+marc go Oh, you're right. I was focusing in his manlands and wondering why Dickman wasn't attacking to force some chumblocks and I couldn't see the obvious. Thanks!
Efro. Love you. This is constructive criticism: You need to practice casting with other people. You're running over Marshall constantly. Two people. One should be play by play, the other should be analysis and flavor. You're smart as hell, but you gotta trust your co caster. That also gives you time to breathe. Also...there's nothing wrong with the sound of silence sometimes. This isn't radio. Some moments of quiet is ok. Keep it up, though. I think you'll be a great caster with practice.
