2:28 I think someone jokingly called that "The Infertilizer" If I am to ever be at the recieving end of any move in pro-wrestling this is the one I'd absolutely refuse.
Take note, aspiring wrestlers: this is a instructional video on everything NOT to "learn," unless you want to wind up in a wheelchair or dead within 5 years
For the majority, you're not wrong. There's a few (Maclin, Hernandez and Fulton in particular) that are prime examples as to moves that you HAVE to have trust in the other participant(s)
2.44 was an incredibly risky spot. I don't see how there is any way to control the outcome when being suplexed from the top rope onto upside down chairs.
Yeah I was thinking all it takes is a chair in the wrong position or not quite slammed properly and he’s getting a metal chair leg through his spine. Stupid
That's because most of it doesn't hurt as bad as it looks. That's the point of pro wrestling. Though, nobody's getting right back up after being slammed through a ladder or into folding chairs.
Almost everything in this video is 100% insane. I thought the whole point of pro wrestling is to maximise perceived impact while minimising actual impact. The majority of these people will require a wheelchair by their mid-fifties.
It IS a hardcore match for a lot of these videos, though it does seem that in the indies DANGEROUS equals good, like skilled. The more dangerous of a match you have the higher chance of making it to WWE/AEW/TNA right?
No, a lot of it's safe. and just looks like it'd kill the guy taking it. The stuff with the ladders and that powerbomb against the ring apron wasn't though. That can't have been fun to take. Everyone commenting about how 'oh my god, this is so fucked up, these wrestlers are gonna DIE doing this!' , you need to remember the majority of the really crazy stuff is obviously from hardcore matches. It's not like most of them do those kind of insane spots regularly. Some almost definitely WILL be in wheelchairs before 50, but meh, Jeff Hardy's still upwardly mobile after everything so I'd give it 50/50 odds.
Prison must have been a nice break for Nick Gage. that bump on the edge of the frigging stage was absolutely nuts. Instant paralysis. he's insane for doing spots like that.
1:39- 😬 Seeing that makes my rotary cuff hurt. As a matter of fact, almost all of my body parts hurt from looking at these clips. 6:31- Que Super Mario Bros 1 you're dead theme.
1:15 I haven't seen this clip before and I already tell what they're going to do and I fucking hate it. The number of ways this could go wrong is terrifying. I don't want to watch. *watches move* ...Honestly, I'm very surprised it went as well as that. He was smart to basically fall, not to jump forward, and it looked for a second like his momentum would take him head-first to the mat, but the timing to know when to tuck your head and rotate, letting your opponent do the work and take you over, is impressive. White pants dude landed sorta sideways on the ribs which was probably safer than flat-back, especially with the ladder suspended on the ropes as an extra obstacle, and then black mask lands on his ass without too much momentum. About as safe and as clean as I could've expected a move that colossally stupid to be executed. Kudos.
OMF'nG Poor Ivelisse ! those apron maneuvers are deadly ! I really cringe BIG TIME !! when those poor bastards get their necks and backs smashed there .. One HELL of an episode Keep them coming Buddy !!
That superplex into the upside down chairs was something even I had to wince at. Think I went back and replayed it seven times, haha. Didn't look fun to take, put it that way. The spine-first powerbomb into the ring apron early on was a bad one too.
Wrestling Society X. MTV sent someone with severe ADHD to book a wrestling show and it’s as mad as you think, you had a rumble with about 17 explosions while the commentary team were talking about a sandwich they were eating
@@eduardocabrales5627 you can do a hell of a lot in 30 minutes and even with cramming having so many show stealing spots in the span of two minutes that half didn’t even get shown on camera, is never really excusable as it’s just straight up bad booking. tbh they probably would of gotten away with more than 30 minutes if they asked for it anyway, given mtv went and tried to create a wrestling promotion not once but twice after X got shut down, showing they clearly wanted wrestling on their channel, it wasn’t like with ROH where they were owned by tv channel who would do anything not to air wrestling. MTV was throwing around a lot of money and using established big names outside of wrestling to try and draw people in, an extra 30 minutes of air time wouldn’t of been an issue for them.
No matter how safe and bouncy they make the ring there is no going slow the momentum it self cuz of gravity can cause injury if the landing is miss timed
I was actually going perfectly fine, even laughing at the absurdity of it all, until 7:30 when she rolled the poor girl and it looked like she did more damage to her back than her neck and head. And the other female was smart enough to know she wasn't going to be able to do it without really hurting her so she rolled her through when she heard her scream. I used to do that to my friends on the trampoline and they used to do it to me on my wood floors to get me back. That s*it is painful. But not nearly as painful as a figure four leglock or a Brett Hart Sharpshooter, but still painful.
I do like how in quite a few of these videos you can really see how the opponent hits the move as safely as possible, a few of the ladder slams were REALLY tame and safe looking. Really wish there were fewer inter gender matches tho, one of those men is gonna cripple one of their female wrestling coworkers, and its not gonna be pretty dude.
I have seen a few of these compilations and I hate the fact that early 2000s have normalized performing legit deadly moves for the sake of entertainment. I mean, sure pro-wrestling is great but it should not come at the expense of irreparable long term injuries to the participating people. The fact that a certain section of wrestling fanbase almost encourages wrestlers to do shit like this is horrible. A powerbomb-biel throw onto non-gimmicked chairs? Or a panama sunrise on non-matted concrete? Package piledriver onto stacks without letting the other guy settle and tuck his neck? Come on.
I don't understand why foot stomps are so incredibly common. It was never a move you would see maybe 6-8+ years ago. I don't get it. It doesn't look good, it doesn't make a loud impact, it's not a good move. I'll admit i'm not a fan of modern wrestling,
You don't have to sell these moves at all. I'm sure they all hurt enough the crowd will believe you are experiencing indescribable amounts of pain... Clips like this are why they mean it when they say "Don't try this at home." Even the pros do things that hurt other pros. Don't be that guy.
There was a clip in some video of this series he included of (I think) AJ Styles hitting a lariat (Pepsi Twist style almost) in ROH, anyone know which that’s in? Idk why I want to see that particular bit lol
