Well as someone who's worst experience in life was the breakup with someone i loved like i've loved no one else, you go really down but when you start to go up you want to get your shit together so you can feel good again and move on. I haven't had much social interactions or support in like 3 years and this has impacted both my self confidence and my attempts to make friends, or even maintain the few ones I have. One day I dared to finally ask him out, but he said he's "not sure" whether or not he's attracted to me romantically, which every obsessed person would see as a "maybe" and not as a "polite no". So when he returned back to sending me couple vids and reminders of how much he appreciated me a week later, I also returned to my habit, but this time he was mad. Not much time passed, and one day he grew tired of it and gave me the very first and most burning rejection/"break up" of my life. What's worse is that he pretended that nothing happened the days after, and all of this stress plus the other bad stuff that happened to me during the summer made me accuse him of "cheating" with a mutual friend and he just blocked me on every platform there is. I have never felt so much regret and guilt in my life up until that point. Only then did I snap out of this hypnosis and realize how insane my lack of close relationships is, how terribly selfish my family is and how much I've been taught that love is transactional. This is why I was craving a romantic relationship for so long, I believed it's the only type of relationship where you can feel loved, understood and cared for simple for who you are as a person, when that should be the case for all relationships.
