I have a few favourite liquid foundations: Hourglass, Ellis Faas, Makeup Atelier Paris water proof foundation, plus Revlon Color Stay etc...
This foundation is really something special. Its a thin liquid - like water - that creates the most perfect canvas when applied. Its sheer to build able that leaves the skin looking just like skin while really being invisible to the naked eye. Its 100% HD compatible. Goss! I finally got a sample of this and wore it to a magazine launch party over your contour routine using Tom Fords palette. IT IS INCREDIBLE. Honestly, I have over 100 foundations, including the eve lom, and mufe, kett, the LOT and this blows them all out the water. The only problem was that it couldn't fend off my snotty nose, so it looks iike i'll perhaps be in Tatler with a big red hooter. Still, you rule Goss. YOU RULE.

I BOUGHT THIS AND IT IS PERFECTION! I just used it for the first time with a damp makeup sponge and while it required a couple layers to cover my redness (although that may just be from the method of application) it is still completely INVISIBLE! I see nothing, even when standing right below super bright lights! It looks amazing!

I love a demi-matte finish as well. It is much more natural than radiant finishes which are so often touted as being matching bare skin. This looks fantastic, I appreciated seeing half-and-half on the face.

I've always been a fan of cream foundations, but as I've gotten older, I've started to really like a very thin foundation. One can dab it on with a brush and get the most beautiful coverage that doesn't cake on wrinkles or get caught on dry spots, yet still evens out the skin-tone for a more natural and beautiful finish. I'm going to try this. Thanks, Wayne!

Just bought it, it is as you say, amazing, the best foundation in the world, and I have tried every hyped, luxury or drugstore foundation I could get my hands on. I used to love the waterproof version, but this is like silk to your skin. I remember now why you are my favourite makeup artist and why I trust you the most. Xoxo!

Black Opal Beauty Spot and Scar Eraser liquid foundation. Love it. I have big pores and sensitive skin. Makes my skin look flawless without having to apply anything else. No powder, no blush, no nothing is needed after applying this foundation. Love it, love it!!!. Hugs, Kiki

Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse is my holy grail foundation. I know a lot of people have said it's too thick or too covering for them, but it's absolutely amazing to cover all of my freckles, dark circles, and acne. I usually don't even need any extra concealer with it. And it also has an airbrushed-matte finish that I love.

I just bought it. I have an oily skin and it's wonderful. You need to have samples or to go directly to the shop in order to find the right match for your skin tone.

My current favourite foundation is Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua because of how lightweight and smooth it is. And the finish! Soo nice. But it is really great to hear about good foundations with proper shade ranges!

my favorite is Graftiobian HD cream foundation, wonderful for my dry skin and not a thick layer and perfectly blendable. They also have the liquid and that is just as good!

I've used many liquid foundations from Rimmel to Loreal to Bobbi Brown to Dior. I recently switched to Bourjois healthy mix following a recommendation from a friend; it is honestly better than any high end liquid foundation I have ever used! I love it, it looks like skin and lasts all day!

I love your reviews and appreciate that they are YOUR products (and not sponsored videos.) I have dry skin and struggle with liquid foundation, but I've had luck with Make Up Forever HD. We'll see how it works now that the colder weather has arrived and my skin is even drier though.

Fit Me is definitely my favorite foundation. I have slightly dry skin and it has a beautiful dewey glow to it and it is very affordable. I use Revlon Color Stay at the moment but I'll definitely be switching back when I'm done with this bottle!

Yes, that's what we really need! sometimes with the amazing foundations you review, it gets confusing choosing a shade especially when one cannot try them in stores! The same confusion happened when I wanted to purchase Mehron and Graftobian!

Look at that luminosity. When I have my makeup done, my skin looks just like that. It's always a mix of multiple foundations and other products together though, so I can't replicate it myself. 28 shades is fantastic - do you have tips for picking the right colors over the net? Love your work, you're absolutely brilliant.

My HG foundation is most definitely Napoleon Perdis China Doll foundation (I use the one in the white container). I absolutely recommend you to try it out for yourself because when I apply it with my fingers to my face it gives a perfect matte finish to the skin, it's build-able, and it brightens up the complexion ever so slightly. 30 ml, and a little goes a long way! This isn't a sponsored comment or anything haha. Worth every penny in my opinion!

Lately my HG foundations has been MAC Matchmaster. I generally dislike or hate MAC foundations but it's perfect for my combination skin and the shade 2 is the most perfect match for my colour. It stays put, gives me a matte to dewy finish and looks silky smooth on my skin. For mineral I have Laura Mercier Mineral Powder in Rich Vanilla, but I only use when my skin is in a really good condition, paired up with Bobbi Brown corrector/concealer before I apply and it looks gorgeous and radiant! xx

I've tried tons of liquid foundation over the years, but I always come back to this one and it's my favorite: L'Oreal True Match LUMI in C3, creamy natural.

Reminds me of the foundation I had during prom years ago. It was perfect...stayed on all day, didn't smudge, you could still touch your face, didn't give me acne, waterproof, a nice amounr in one container, concealed redness, good for different skin types, etc. I was so upset because the name rubbed off and the store that sold it moved to the city over. It was around $20 though but lasted about 7 months.

Thanks to your videos, I discovered Hourglass Immaculate for my oily skin. I only use it on special occasions, though because it's SO expensive! For every day use, I use Revlon Color Stay.

Armani Luminous Silk & Armani Designer Lift, 5.5. GA's Maestro Eraser #3 is excellent. Only a tiny amount is needed. It melts into the skin, sets w/the lightest dusting of Nars Translucent Crystal Powder. For my 60+ skin, these products applied with a light hand create a flawless base without emphasizing facial flaws I already have. Also Kevyn Aucoin's Sensual Skin Enhancer blended w/moisturizer, applied w/a damp sponge, for a flawless finish, when I have more time.

I've been using Estée Lauder DoubleWear and Chanel (who must not be named) Perfection Lumiére for years, THEN a few weeks ago I found YOU. (I am spending hours a day watching your videos, shopping on line, and waiting for your brushes to become available.) I have been looking for something that is a bit less matte-like for older skins and you have me shopping for cream foundations....yikes, maybe I should stick to liquid and give this a try! I adore your tutorials you "brighten" my day!

I'm all about drugstore, so my favorite is the Revlon Colorstay Whipped. Today I'm wearing the CG Stay Fabulous foundation mixed with a moisturizer, which is lovely as well! It can be a bit dry without a moisturizer though, so I mix it with one for my own tinted moisturizer with good coverage.

I absolutely love you. You inspire me to want to be a makeup artist. I'm 13, I know I'm young but makeup is the best thing ever ( except for family and friends of corse). But makeup makes me happy, and you're videos are amazing! I watch you're videos all the time, and their is not a single video that I don't like. My foundation arrived today and I already had a chance to try it. It's really great! I thought I had found my holy grail with the MUFE HD Foundation, but this one is even better as it offers better coverage and is even less visible at the same time. I was lucky - the shade that I ordered is a good one for me (not perfect though). It's the medium yellow one, I guess it should be comparable to NC25. Thank you so much for your advice, trusting you always pays off!!

I just ordered mine from Amazon here in the US. I'll post a review when I've played with it a while. My 50 year old face no longer plays nicely with the same old products and techniques I've used for the past 25 years. Learning how NOT to accentuate fine lines, gloppiness, micro-exfoliation--- a bit of a challenge. Even the colors need to adapt. I was always a dark red lipstick girl, but if it ages me, what kind of signature look is that? Thanks, Wayne, for all your hard work. Much appreciated! Kisses from Texas!

+patricia nolan Hi Patricia, have you tried the foundation yet? I am trying to find my holy grail foundation, which seems to be nearly impossible. I have extremely fair skin with olive undertone plus it's combination and every foundation I've tried so far always cracks on my chin/around my nose and then disappears or it simply doesn't match my skin colour..

Yup, I've once contacted them via facebook and they told me that their "yellow" shade aren't as yellow as M·A·C (bummer they're not helping me any further to match my shade). I think I'll go with 7O, since the 5O seems workable on your NC25-30 skin. Also, I've watched their video with a model that I think might have the same colouring with me & they're using AIR7O on her. But guess I'm pretty sure I can use 4Y/4O to highlight my face, yay! Thanks, you've been so helpful :)

I'm loving NARS Sheerglow at the moment, but I still have to color correct by adding white to lighten their fairest shade (I'm used to doing that with pretty much every foundation though). But since you said this caters to the ultra fair, I'll have to give it a look. I'm so excited!

I've been using a BB cream as of late. I've been really enjoying the product and coverage. The one I'm using is from Garnier. Is usually prefer a liquid foundation but this is surprisingly nice.

swore by colorstay for years, just found something much better. the covergirl outlast stay fabulous 3 in 1 is amazing! no primer needed, it lasts all day, doesn't catch on dry spots, never gets oily, covers everything. I've officially stopped using concealer. the finish is amazing, natural looking, don't need to set w powder. I can't say enough good things. I'm an mua I've tried it ALL. this is the best drugstore foundation in existence!

My personal fav is Elizabeth Arden's custom foundation. It's sold at Red Doors and some dept store counters. Not only is the colour custom matched but the consistency and level of moistening is as well. I'll try this product and see if it weighs up against EA.

I've tried so many different foundations from the drugstore and they all either match my skin type (oily, adult acne) OR they match my skin color, but not both. Then I tried the Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet + and I love it! It helps with my oily skin, is full coverage, and matches my skin color exactly! However it does have some rub off on my clothes. I am interested in trying the Hourglass Immaculate Liquid Powder Mattifying foundation. It's supposed to be very good for oily skin.

My favorite foundation is Revlon's Color Stay Cream. It's AMAZING! I have quite a few foundations - high-end on down and by far Color Stay beats them all.

Sunday Riley Breathable Tinted Primer as an everyday base. For perfect polished looks, I top with Koh Gen Do, Liquid for warmer months and creme formula for colder weather. Unbeatable flawless finish and undetectable. Remarkably, skin actually looks better after you wear it all day and remove it at the end of the day. Only downside is the limited color range.

I'm loving my shiseido perfect refining liquid foundation so far! Matches my skin perfectly and 1-2 layers cover up most of my blemishes and scars(I've got a lot) without my face looking fake.

I'm still on the lookout for the perfect foundation, but your videos have helped me tremendously as far as making what I have look better. I have very dry skin, & it seemed like my makeup just looked like makeup laying there, if that makes any sense, but I was applying it with a brush, & I tried doing it how you said for dry skin & what a difference! Right now I just use BB creams & tinted moisturizers, because I just haven't found that right foundation. I like BB cream,but want more coverage
