This video explains in detail the solution to Problem 2-3 in the Chapter of Force Vectors from the book Engineering Mechanics: Statics by R.C. Hibbeler 15th Edition, where the angle of one force and magnitude of other force is determined using Sine Law, when the magnitude of resultant and it's orientation is given.
Statement of Problem 2-3 is as follows:
Two forces are applied at the end of a screw eye in order to remove the post. Determine the angle θ (0° ≤ θ ≤ 90°) and the magnitude of force F so that the resultant force acting on the post is directed vertically upward and has a magnitude of 750 N.
