This video explains in detail the solution to Problem 2-44 in the Chapter of Force Vectors from the book Engineering Mechanics: Statics by R.C. Hibbeler 15th Edition. In Problem 2-44, the magnitude of F3 force is calculated in terms of F1. Also, the angle between F2 and F3 has been determined.
Statement of Problem 2-44
The three concurrent forces acting on the post produce a resultant force FR =0. If F2 = 1/2 of F1, and F1 is to be 90° from F2 as shown, determine the required magnitude of F3 expressed in terms of F1 and the angle θ.
