I had the same problem... I put some WD-40 between the knob and the structure of the gimbal head. Put a sock over the knob and with a plumbing wrench I was able to loosen it fairly easy and now it works perfectly.
Este mismo problema lo he tenido yo. Lo he solucionado al quitar la brújula y aflojar con una llave tipo "allen" el tornillo que aparece debajo y ahora funciona de maravilla. Se puede posicionar y apretar con la "rueda" para fijarlo.
yes, me too, large locking knob frozen. glad i read the comments, slight pressure with pipe wrench did the trick. if gimbal is in unlocked position, (swings), wrap rag around knob and apply clockwise torque. if gimbal locked, twist counter-clockwise. screw travel is only a quarter turn.
Just took delivery of the Benro GH2C & it has the problem of the tilt being very tight no matter how I turn the knob. I'm hoping with using it in time it will loosen up, will see. The horzional movement is very smooth. My top know will tighten the swing arm, just not allow it to move freely. Hope you get yours fixed. Thanks foe the video.
Mine has a wobble in that top arm, the knob turns fine but when I loosen it to tilt up or down it wobbles maybe a 16th of an inch. Sometimes the knob sticks a bit but it turns not frozen like yours. I’ve had mine over 30 days so they said I have to pay for shipping it back but they will replace that part, I had bought the Neewer brand, and both knobs on that one were frozen. Returned that one for refund, So I bought this Movo brand it moves great but has bad wobble in top arm. Is that caused by bearings or could I fix by adding thin washer in it?? If that will fix it I can save time and $$ for shipping by doing it myself. Please reply any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks
to me I have also happened to me, but I managed to fix it. removing the key and reviewing the thread otra ves because this damaged and does not rotate, now me is perfect. mine was problem of the internal thread. a greeting and I hope to serve more people my solution
These are all made in China in bulk..all crap, then purchased by different sellers who slap on different brand logos on them. Bought one from innorel with different knobs same piece of shit
Dear I'm having the same problem with Gimbal GH1, I made the request to a friend who was in the United States and brought the equipment. Were you able to solve your Gimbal problem? I received it yesterday and I soon realized it did not work! JPavani
I have received replacement(twice) from seller but they were same as 1st. one I have to give up on this Gimbal head. I end-up getting Movo GH800 Carbon Fiber Gimbal Tripod Head instead. www.amazon.com/Movo-GH800-Professional-Arca-Swiss-Quick-Release/dp/B016V1AVV4
I also have same problem with the gamble head and not able to fix it. Even i have not used so far. This i have purchased on Amazon and they sell very cheap product. Can somebody guide me to fix this problem.
I have had this same problem. I have solved it by removing the compass and To loosen With a "allen" key, the screw that appears below and now it works Wonderful. It can be positioned and squeezed with the "Wheel" to fix it.
Obviously I did. This manufacture was good enough to send ma a replacement.... but 2nd. one was same as 1st. This manufacture doesn't know how the Gimbal Head works.
This is what happens w/ cheap knock off equipment. Buy quality NOT this rip-off JUNK! I gave mine away. Who needs this headache among others. Garbage!!!!
Hi Kevan, I have purchased five years ago, since then I had two different Gimbal head they worked perfectly but I don't used them any longer. By the way I don't remember who the manufacturer was + what Model was sorry!!!!
The brand is in the photo on top of the vertical axis. How did you miss that? unlike the OP mine works just fine. It tightens via less than 1/4 of a turn and holds just fine.
