+Jeruhmi never liked nevershoutnever but that was pretty much his own fault. he was interviewed by him before so he should know by now with how bryan interviewed people.
Thanks for all the support on this video guys! If you'd like to help out my channel, I just launched my Patreon where you can donate! www.patreon.com/ARTV?ty=h
I used to love your review videos but why are you bashing on someone else just to make you feel better really why I want to know and if you have a problem with My Digital Escape and Bryan Stars Johnnie Gilbert Alex Domare and Jordan Sweet and Kyle David Hall you can hate them but just don't go around bashing on them you can hate them idk don't put other people down man that's not cool
I really feel you on this one, I'm a huge fan of your videos, but I just really found myself relating to this one. Like you can tell you're pissed about it. Amazing videos man
I watched him when I was 14 now being 18 it was really surreal and surprising looking at how he is now. Never though people could get immature as they grow older.
Its like the Brian missed the few years when being a scene kid was cool because he was too busy doing interviews, and now he's trying to catch up. His interviews and videos are probably funny to a 14 year old, but his fanbase has grown up, he hasn't.
Exactly. Love him when I was 12,13,14 but now that I'm 16 it isn't funny or cool anymore, it's just immature. He doesn't even do interviews anymore, if he did maybe I'd still be okay with him but idk.
What makes it even funnier is that I'm 14 now, and I find him really unfunny and I don't enjoy his content much if at all. I know a lot of people around my age who feel the same way about him too. I know that isn't speaking for all 14 year olds, but still.
ok, so i used to watch Bryanstars back in 2009 when he did interviews and music news, he interviewed bands like Slipknot, A7x , Papa Roach, Sevendust, and i thought, hey, this isn't bad at all! this guy had got something really good going for him. This is a guy who said what makes him unique is that he cares about what's going on in Rock music, that their are tons of music interviews and news channels, but hardly pay attention to Rock bands and what's going in all aspects of the genre. With that, he won RU-vid NextUp and he earned me as a subscriber. However time went by, and things changed...now he seemed to have large preference for interviewing post hardcore/scene bands, and though that wasn't really my cup of tea, i understood that the bigger bands would be harder to book, and after all some these guys are decent and it's always good to see what these bands(who are pretty much indie bands by definition) are doing musically, as someone who loves music, i'd always want to hear any artist, in particular in the rock genre would have to say. But again, things changed, his interviews became NOTHING about music, he would literally just ask questions not related to music, but even then, i said well i guess that's his style and i guess his audience want that. But then this got EVEN WORSE, his interviews became almost insulting to the artist, there was an interview he did with the The Used and the entire band looked beyond annoyed with him and how their time with him was just being wasted, tbh they were almost mocking Bryan and he didn't even realise. To put in short, his interviews became unedited 2hr long videos with the SAME 3/4 bands(Fucking Black Veil Brides) with him talking shit and the camera rolling, so by definition, he wasn't even doing interviews anymore. Now i obviously unsubscribed, and i never looked back, but i never had any problem with Bryanstars or what he does, i just simply thought it wasn't my cup of tea, but then i began to check up on his channel now and then, and i was shocked at what he became. Brynstars went from a music journalist(by definition) to RU-vid's Peter Pan! the guy is 26!!!!! and he's like hanging around 14 year olds!! not mention, dressing and acting like one, without feeling any sort way about it. The MDE bullshit is such a fucking joke, and a fucking scam at that, but worst of all, is that Brysnstars is now a wanna be emo, looking for a REASON TO BE DEPRESSED(him and those MDE children) going on tours etc WTF? and my God, do NOT let me not even get started on his CRINGE WORTHY SONGS, he CANNOT SING OR WRITE! if Rebecca Black got all that hate, how does his autotuned speaking get none of that??. Overall, Bryanstars has now become a 26 year old egotistical emo, who thinks he's the god of all scene kids, prenteding to be depressed about God knows what and then begging them to join him in wallow in their own "pain" All i have to say is, when Christofer Drew embarrased him, i was against CD, but looking back now, i can clearly see Christofer Drew was just calling out Bryan for the career he's made for himself by being a clown on the internet. Honestly fuck Bryanstars.
+The Night Monster 24/7 he used to be pretty good as artv had said his interviews were pretty legit but he isn't even uploading any quality content 😂 and a 25 year old acting emo is bothering me lol I mean I'm 17 almost 18 still in my emo phase but for real Bryan ?! Bryan Stars being emo ?! 😂😂😂
Samanalie Perera i mean they're not perfect, no one is. They all have flaws and I'm willing to admit that. I don't want any drama started, just stating my opinion
+Samanalie Perera I'm a fan of various bands but if any member does something I don't agree with I'm not going to back it at all. Be an individual, have your own opinion, don't get caught up in the sheep mentality.
I'm not going to deny the truth though, some of the things he said are true or along the lines of true. It's all an opinion. I can still like and look up to them and still acknowledge their flaws.
I hate when people rip on people, BUT I completely agree with this. He's already in his late 20's hangs out with teenagers who are stuck in 2006 and it is kinda fucking creepy. Him and the others act so immature and it's crazy annoying. I think he's just trying too hard to fit in, even if it means hanging with teenagers.
marmax321 that's what I'm saying! he met that one guy and then suddenly he was just oddly trying to act like a high schooler. What i do not understand is how he was said it one vidoe he does not even think his hair looks good, so it's like how are you not trying to sell out if you're making yourself look away you don't even like?
Janel Mckinney I've been following bryan since the VERY BEGINNING when he even started his interviews has he done ANY of this at all before starting MDE? (don't get me wrong im fond of most of em) the great answer is no. Like first you quit interviews then you quit this, whats next make a youtube series like leafyishere and copy exactly what he does? Im telling ya what else does it look like?!XD
***** Yes please let an older man closer to 30 hang out with under age children. You are the one who is the perfect example of stupidity I would not be surprised if he tried to date someone underage either.
Music: Shit His phase: Shit Videos: Shit Twitter: Shit BryanStars interviews: I want it back, I actually liked it. The questions were kind of ??? but most bands found them funny. I only started watching bryan (a.o.) because they went to warped and I could kind of be there lol.
+bkuys yeah it was better when he was being himself and not some fake. now he just sucks. i stopped watching him a long time ago when i saw him changing everything.
I know I'm watching this video like a month after you posted but jesus, you couldn't be more right. I love everything you said. this one video made me subscribe to your channels lol.
i held off on watching this vid too, not because i didnt want to see what he had to say, but just because of how little a fuck i give about bryan and how i feel about him as a person. this vid nailed every mark, bryans probably the most cringy, awkward 25 year old try-hard ive ever seen
I feel like the reason Bryan acts like this is because he knows that the majority of his fans are depressed 13 year old fan girls, so he just does what they do so that they like him more. That's why he has all of these cheesy song lyrics and cliche tweets just so he can seem "relatable" and shit.
I like Bryan and MDE. But this is actually really interesting. I love how you express your opinion on this. You have a lot of good points made in this video.
Michiru Mitsuki Fr though if only next year if it were possible since I’m at the cusp of drinking age myself, I would be so down to grab a beer with him and Hannah, they are the most woke, independent, and admirable people ever!!
I don't understand any of his music. He's 26 and running around with 18 year olds in his music video "Tonight", like yes...let me do dumb shit that teenagers would do when I'm nearly 30. I wanna go fucking crazy with some kids in high school.
When you mentioned Jacob Sartorius I had horror-story flashbacks to when someone tweeted my phone number and claimed it was his. That deluge of calls and texts from 13-year-olds was an experience I'd really love to forget.
Bless you holy shit. I'm like 90% sure that Bryan has reposted some of my gifs on tumblr to his tumblr page before since I'm the like only person on tumblr who makes gifs of certain artists that aren't exactly too popular (at least anymore, i.e. The Used, William Control, not too big of an internet fan base for it at least.) Not only that but when I was 13 I was in one of his interviews with my friends at the time and I honestly have no memory of what we exactly talked about but it was when he was just starting to get popular. I live in the Midwest and am from Nebraska, where he is from so he was at practically every emo show that I went to around 2012/2013. It was in a behind the scenes video I was in and he had us call him Papa Bear??? like what the fuck. I was 13 and cringey and scene but that's super creepy at least. He was super interested in us since barely anyone knew who he was at the time. But being a emo kid in buttfuck no where Nebraska, there wasn't much to do besides watch interviews of Ronnie Radke. Another thing was I went to the Bryan Stars tour in 2013 and that was weird as hell too. I could tell that some of the people in the bands on that tour were really desperate to be able to go out on the road at least on partially Bryan's dime. All in all, Bryan has become an ugly hot mess and I'm ashamed to have ever thought he was cool. The last interview I watched in full was the Motionless in White one that was from 2013 and if you want the worst second hand embarrassment in your life, go check it out.
alrighty buddy go watch the falling in reverse 2012 interview behind the scenes in which you can see me and my friends being talked to by him and he goes "and i'm papa bear, right?" and like..... yikes! i think we're around like the late 5 minute mark, it's still up on his channel
The whole time I was like "please mention the chris drew thing,. please. please. please." I always used to be jealous of the stars he got to interview but then waste the opportunity by asking such dumb questions. So seeing him continue to be terrible isn't shocking at all haha #StopBryanStars2k16
Fun fact: when I was 14 (like 4 years ago) BryanStars called me out for valid complaints on two occasions and got his viewers to harass me. Keep in mind I was called out for asking "when will you change interview questions?" and "why did you post misinformation?" lmao...
I am a fan of Bryan and MDE but I totally agree he has been getting pretty cliché and shit and I respect your opinion and I like how you express your opinions because every single one matters and can make changes. I liked this video and your channel seems pretty cool so I'm subscribing because there is no bullshit at all here and it's a decent place. Keep up the good work and just be yourself. (:
I used to be a huge fan of Bryan and even freaked out when we had a conversation on Twitter but because of some stuff that happened recently with him and/or the other members of MDE, my opinions on him have drastically changed. But even if that hadnt happened, I still would've loved this video. I agree with every point you made and I love how you don't just put him on blast, but actually have reasons for saying the things you did. Well done man!
+SwagBaylee There was a bunch of drama... Shannon got kicked out and Kyle kinda did too. It mostly had to do with their management (that I'm pretty sure Bryan made them get or something) and Shannon and Kyle not wanting to be under it anymore because they didn't think they needed management as RU-vidrs and didn't agree with a lot of the stuff some of the other members (I'm assuming namely Bryan) were doing. Then they technically left but no one really knew what was going on and then MDE broke up (which I think was only the decision of Bryan, Johnnie, and Alex to do)... I dunno, it's a lot to explain haha sorry
+RPFcreates I don't see how you can hate him. Since he started his channel suicide rates have gone down a lot. What's wrong with being emo? I am. This video is proru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LUIF4QfU-scb.htmlably made of fake evidence and pure opinion. If people had brains of their own they wouldn't agree with this idiot. Tell me, have you seen people being picked on, being called emo, faggot, things like that? I bet you all like listening to Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande and people like that. You know what their songs are all about? Sex drugs and violence. Now if you look at Bryan's songs, they're about actual love. Not Selling yourself to random guys. Or girls. I bet you hate me now and go ahead. Like I care.
+Skittle Bean That isn't even true, I listen to diverse music and still think Bryan is terrible. He takes all the money from MDE and is selfish. And about the Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande thing, they write songs about love too, it doesn't have to be all extra cutesy and non explicit.
I don't hate you skittles, but I will be honest with you. 1 I do not listen to minaj or grande. 2 I grew up on mcr and blink and the used. That's probably a huge part of why I can't stand Bryan Stars and his shitty music. It's like a generic rip off of stuff I have enjoyed for a long long time. His pandering for views and incessant requests for us to buy his shit and follow him is so off putting. It exceeds the norm for the most part. I'm not telling you to hate him, just understand that I find him annoying and that won't change until he does haha. To each their own. I find him to be obnoxious. I understand the bullying side of things but that's not the case here. Simple matter of taste. He doesn't appeal to mine. Skittle on you crazy bean!
I like Bryan Stars honestly, but you couldn't have said things any more perfectly. I honestly cringed when listening to just one of his songs it was just so mushy and sounds completely like something you'd hear something out of a 2006 scene kid myspace page (if myspace was even still a thing then). Seeing a 25 year old man literally go backwards and into a scene kid phase is just plain weird and disappointing. I've met the guy twice and he is the nicest guy in the world honest to god, but just as you said, Be yourself. I didn't get that honest vibe off of him like if he is trying to impress someone, and his channel now reflects that which is why his views have significantly gone down. Well said man preach it!
I'll be honest, I expected this video to be of some shit-talking troll when I saw the title... but I'm sincerely impressed by your conviction when you speak and the validity of your points. Just subscribed and I'm looking forward to more content!! :)
Here's the thing about BryanStars, he got a load of hits and subscribers in his early days because he was providing content (i.e interviews with good bands). He also got big on RU-vid because music interviews are pretty frequent with many bands, and tend to rehash the same questions and cliches. Bryan was asking a lot of dumb questions but enabling banter back then when people wanted to see more of their favourite bands just talk about any things related to their job or not. Then his quality started sliding, then he became a parody of himself. And now, it is totally apparent, that he is 100% trying to be somebody he is not.
the only member from MDE I like is Shannon because I respect her videos since she actually talks about her life, gives advice, dose some challenges, talks about relatable things, basically doing a variety of things & she exposed her hair disease on RU-vid and help others with that problem feel positive about themselves which is quite brave of her to do since ik what it's like to have insecurities. also I don't quite like Brian stars yet I don't hate him because idk him personally. Yet he dosen't really fit in to the group of MDE because he's the opposite of emo and scene. Also I think he take RU-vid more of a business then entertainment for his fans. awesome video! PS. I'd only go to the tour for the band's not MDE personally lol
I think I can agree with everything you say... Except for the "interview questions" part.. From what I've witnessed, a lot of bands enjoy the goofy, non-serious questions, they give them a chance to not be serious, parental friendly, people. They get a break from being "nice" and "sweet" like in other interviews and it gives them a chance to be complete fuck heads xD. Yes, he should (have) filter(ed) the questions a bit, like serious questions for bands that want to be serious, and goofy questions for bands that want to be goofy. Yeah, other than that, I think I can agree with you ^~^
Everything you said is so true, I used to like BryanStars when he was just a normal guy doing interviews but then his interviews became all the same and he is trying waaayyy too hard to be something he's not with MDE. Also everyone in MDE isn't going to making videos anymore so that just shows that no one cares anymore
This was a great video. I watched BryanStars back in high school when I was starting to get into that type of music. I kind of just forgot about him and as I grew up my taste in music changed too. Now I'm 20 and I somehow came across Bryan's music video and I was so confused...It's like while I was busy aging Bryan was pulling a Benjamin Button and getting younger. It's kind of sad bc I feel like he's trying so hard to fit in and I think that ultimately, he didn't like being the awkward interviewer...now though he just looks even more out of place.
Same bro. My first thing was "What the fuck happened to him". The problem was all his fans grew up. We may still like the same music, or whatever, but we don't obsess over music anymore we have lives to live, and he is stuck in 2010 or so. I grew up went to college, and am aiming to become a professor to educate the young. We all just grew up. That is what went down his views fell, because we all grew up.
Emperor Nero Exactly!! I'm still interested in PTV but I don't care enough to sit and watch interviews with them. I went to college too and am majoring in sociology so I can go to law school. Just wondering but why doesn't Bryan have a "real job"? Bryan isn't really famous so I'm pretty curious about how he manages to pay rent, etc. I wonder when he'll finally have an epiphany and realize that what he's doing isn't really feasible bc his fanbase will always continue to grow up and grow out of being "scene tweens".
Dude thank you, I've been waiting for something like this. I genuinely tried to listen to his music and it was all cookie cutter wanna be pop punk bullshit. It's not even just that though, the whole my digital escape channel is the embodiment of what shouldn't be on RU-vid. All I see is challenge videos and hardcore clickbait. Thanks for speaking up man. Keep up the good work.
MDE as a whole is pretty damn stupid. I try to watch them sometimes because I like Jordan Sweeto. But they're just so cringy. Nothing but pretty faces.
I agree, also I'm so glad what you said about Chris Drew I 100% agree. No wonder the guitarist from avenged sevenfold walked away he knew it was gonna be dumb
"Hey guys im Bryan stars i have a half witted wig on my head and i auto tune the fuck out of my voice in my music, and have a scar split on my face from where i got socked for being a tool!!!"
Gonna have to check back on this video in a few hours to check out the drama...I'll admit that I find Bryan's older interviews entertaining and that it probably was fun for most artists to get away from the same old questions for a little while, but on the other hand I can completely see how certain artists took offense to it. Tbh ever since the interviews stop everything has just gone downhill.
Literally agree with you 100% omg. Also your voice is so nice like you could do a voiceover for planet Dolan or danger Dolan you've got a 'voiceover' kind of voice 😄
This is one of the only videos I have ever fully vibed with. Every single one of your points were valid- he quits everything because it gets "hard" like? What the Fuck did you think? who did you talk to, to make you think the world was going go hand you everything? He's like a 15 year old emo kid who threatens to leave his parents house because they took his phone. wtffff
+Beyond ARTV Dude stop fucking judging people, your talking about him getting the likes on twitter by copy pastes but youre getting likes on this video by hating on him hes a cool guy so what if he wants to straighten his hair its better than him about an year ago and his songs are pretty catchy and good and the lyrics yeah he didint steal lyrics he gets them from his head and from lyrics from songs that he listens to and then he gets these lyrics subconsciously and if thats not it then its bcs HES NOT ANDY FUCKING BIERSACK HES NEW WITH THE MUSIC INDUSTRY ... so stop, just judge the actuall bad ppl go judge that evangelion Hitler worshiper bitch if you havent already thank you...
