I agree. My dad didn't work on cars at all. During college my brother, sister and I learned to tune our 1968, 1963 and 1967 VW's using a book called, "How to Keep Your Volkswagen Alive (For the Complete Idiot)". We learned a lot, but your video today was very enlightening for a non-mechanic.

Note to auto manufacturers. This is what an engine compartment should look like. Room to work on your engine without having to pay $150 an hour to reset some stupid sensor...or waste 3 hours trying to do a simple oil change.

Been watching you for a couple months. I’ve never worked on my own cars but with the cost of labor these days I want to start doing some of my own repairs. Watching your channel has helped me realize that with a little bit of knowledge (and the right tools) a lot can be done in one’s own garage. Thanks for the videos.

This sure brings back memories!! When I was a senior in highschool in 69 I bought a used 68 F 100 just like that one. Had a 360 and a 3 speed on the column. That truck was mint condition and I loved it !! When I got out of school and went to work full time I sold it to my dad and bought a new 71 Ranchero. Wish I could find a 68 F 100 now to restore 🤞. Really enjoy your videos and look forward to seeing more 👍👍. God bless you guys 🙏

G,day dad and son ,, I thought you went about the stuck valve issue pretty good actually, most of us wouldn't think twice dropping another push rod in after finding it bent ,, well me to dropped new push rod in and bamo the bastard bent too,, and I pulled plug , dropped piston down and soaked guide and belted it free , plugged compressor into splug hole loaded to 150 psi and compressor would shut off , hit valve , and eventually I got air to rush back thru inlet manifold then it would slowly close back up , after 30 soakings later it was instantly popping shut and sealed good too , no slapping needed on valve either , why just one stuck beats me!, thanks guys merry Christmas and a happy new year 😊

You can decarbonize by when the engine is operating temp, pour distilled water down the carb at high rpm, it'll blow out the carbon done it more times I can remember, works on old engines, your valve issue on a newer engines be all she wrote, old stuff is better!

From personal experience and some of the other channels, use super clean inside your electronic cleaner! As well as if you find old bearings that are still good to Clean the grease out of them. Pour some super clean inside of a container and leave your bearings in there for an hour or 2. And I'll tell you what, those things will be like. Brand new! I wouldn't lead you in the wrong direction! Great content!

Have you ever seen a spark plug wire burnt on side of it where two wires have been touching for period of time. Is that your carburetor there's two ways make sure you put the timing marks first then set the idle then set the carburetor adjustment screws turn into the engine start to mid I'm turning the screws 1 1/2 out or use a vacuum gauge the between 17 and 21 inchs
