Gina Mitembe I agree with you that the government should not do everything people can do themselves. That’s what I said about the video an American lady made about being at the beach that had trash all in the water and on the shores. People blamed the government and I said the government is not the ones throwing out trash. I’m a firm believer on not waiting on the government. Especially to fix the roads near my place. Even if no one else helps I’ll raise money to do it myself.

Being able to get a truck and start a trash pickup company would not be a bad thing, I suggested same to my lil bro to start doing that where I built my house in a newly constructed neighborhood, he slept on it and before he realized another person supplied them including my bro with trash cans and started picking trash up for a fee ,he’d always regretted not doing that, that dude started with a truck and now owns multiple trucks with a number of employees

People who haven’t travelled don’t realize that all over Mexico, Central and South America… people build concrete walls for security. Also, in the Middle East and Africa. I lived and worked in Kuwait and Qatar and the Arabs always build walls to protect and provide privacy for the members (especially their women) of the family. They don’t expect any police to protect their family and property. It’s your responsibility to provide protection. Build a Wall!!

That’s a form of a hood being colonized by outsiders because the insiders can’t seem to get it together anymore. Yes I plan on doing my best. I’ve already placed streetlights on most of the poles leading to my place and on the alternative road. I placed a special LED light in front of my place to shine brighter than the others. Beautiful homes, ruff roads, but still doable! ❤❤❤❤ You have a gorgeous house and neighborhood! The beauty of and watching the little ones walk through with no worries of harassment. I absolutely love it!!!!!!!! Question: The alleged abandoned buildings…. Is it that people ran out of money, moved away or just changed their minds…and if so, have they put their places/land up for sale? Much gratitude if you’re able to respond
@webelonginafrica44
@webelonginafrica44 Год назад
Thanks, I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching. Most of the older abandoned buildings are people that have ran out of money and are waiting for more money to come their way. It’s normal for most people to take 10 to 15 years to complete some structures. The ones that are being built fast are people that live abroad or in other parts of ghana running nice businesses or friends of politicians 🤦🏾‍♂️ sometimes people do want to sell their structures when they feel they can go on. There are also many people that have died in some cases leaving unfinished projects behind.

@@webelonginafrica44 Much gratitude for your response! I was curious about the abandoned places as I see many unfinished and “unkept” buildings as I watch videos of repats etc., as they show the different countries of places to move to, homes to purchase, rent, land to purchase as an investment or to build for themselves… and you have answered my questions and I truly appreciate that. It is sad to know that some may have passed on trying to fulfill their dream. I hope there was a family member(s) that it could be passed over to for the dream to come to full fruition. May you receive every blessing you need for all of your dreams and projects to become, very soon: your reality

It depends on where your house is at. My house is in a well developed estate with a golf course, a hospital and two private schools. The services are well developed hence very expensive. I bought an existing house for over $200,000 which is now very cheap as properties have really gone up in value. I would have preferred building my own under my own specs but I could not cope with the hussle. Often the land is sold to multiple buyers and you may find yourself in court trying to establish ownership and paying a lot of bribes to do so. You could be paying money into the drain if you don't find the right construction crew, especially if you live abroad during the construction.

One of the thing I remember from a month-long visit to Germany a few years ago was how I was able to find some really, really good deals on food at the grocery story. Usually it was stuff that simply had to be sold that day or thrown away, and it was marked down considerably. If you wanted to, you could simply walk to the grocery store every day, buy whatever was on sale, and just make a day's worth of meals out of that. There's just not an equivalent system where I live in the US. Grocers would rather throw food away than to heavily discount it.

Ghana adopted international building codes over the course of 2017/18 in an effort to standardize their buidling codes. There are also municpal codes. However, Ghanaians are willful people and there's a lack of enforcement. Those houses are required to have uniform setbacks for utilities, sidewalks, roads. Big man syndrome keeps the infrastructure development inconsistent and shoddy.

I would build my Home in this area ..The bad roads are not really an issues a lot of towns the residents form a Neighborhood watch open an account with a reputable financial institution and contribute . Notice there’s no street lights the same would be do to solve that issue too however it would be Solar’s.. there will have to be the creation of tunnel for water when it rains to prevent flooding there could be a few Man made ponds that will collect the water that will be used for irrigation by farmers.. I have been contemplating weather to purchase a property in Ghana ,Tanzania or Niger. Throughout childhood we spent every summer in the country. What I loved about the dirt roads there at that time, before they paved them was how they smelled when it rained. Best thing to do to construct good roads in the neighbouring is to team up/once you have built your hse you should be able to contribute for the roads and the gutters before the government will step in. Any house who do not pay up for the contribution should not be allowed to pass through. That was what we saw years ago at Asylum Down/Adabraka/Farrar Avenue and the Off Farrar Avenue. 1956/1960 upwards professionals/business women's name it Indians/Syrians/Greeks every nationality and PWD took over to give us nice roads. @webelonginafrica44
@webelonginafrica44 Год назад
That’s a great question. I’m sure that the land price would be included when buying the house. If you are buying it that way as long as you get the indentures and the “land Allocation” you are buying the land. I urge you to don’t make any moves without a land layer. You will need to know how many more years is on the land lease, because it’s possible to buy land that had already started a land lease. You don’t want to buy it and the lease is almost up. Now if the person never signed a lease you don’t have to worry but if they did, please know that the lease does not start over when you buy it. I will do a video on land leasing.
