On December 11, a procession and memorial services honored Nevada State Police Sgt. Michael Abbate. He was one of two state troopers killed in the line of duty on Nov. 30 when they were hit by a suspected drunk driver on Interstate 15.
My deepest condolences upon hearing about the loss of the dedicated officers who served bravely on the line of duty. While I did not have the privilege of knowing them personally, I want to extend my heartfelt sympathies to their family, friends, and fellow state troopers across the states. During moments of profound sorrow, finding the right words can be challenging. The pain of losing a loved one, especially someone who dedicated their life to the service of others, is truly immeasurable. As we grapple with the harsh reality that life can be taken from us unexpectedly, I quote this Bible verse Psalm 34:18 - "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit." May these words provide some comfort during this difficult time. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you, and with all those who serve on the front lines, risking their lives to protect and uphold the safety of our communities. With deepest sympathy,
Life is so full of tragedy, and this is one of the worst......this presentation was so well done hits you hard in the emotion and teaches us how precious yet short life can be. Hello deepest sympathy to sergent Micheal Abbata to his family and friends and so very sad to hear the police officer has fallen God bless rest in peace
With deepest sympathy to the family, friends, police officers and to the whole police department and community on the loss of Sgt Michael Abbate. He served honorably his community and his department and all others during his life everyday. I don’t live in Nevada and never had the privilege to have known Sgt Abbate but his record speaks volumes as to the kind of trooper he was. Life can be hard sometimes and especially in times of sorrow, but remember him not as how he died but as how he live and served the people and the community when he took an oath to serve and protect. Sgt Abbate was a hero and as all heroes he will never, ever be forgotten. Let’s remember his life at home with his family and friends as well as his life at work. I hope God gives you peace and comfort in your time of sorrow. Don’t cry because the life of Sgt Abbate is over……smile because you were honored knowing him and had the privilege to work with him and the family lived with him and they were loved and appreciated by this great trooper. Sgt Abbate is in Heaven now surrounded by pure love and Angels; he is whole again in a different world in another life……but very much alive and well in spirit. Remember, what our Lord Jesus said; You will have eternal life, since the soul cannot be destroyed and will live forever; and one day, Sgt Abbate will be reunited again with his family and they will be together forever. May the family and fellow officers continue to enjoy the wonderful memories they have of Sgt Abbate. Today and always, may those loving memories bring them peace, comfort and strength. In loving memory of Sgt Michael Abbate. THANK YOU SIR, FOR YOUR SERVICE. With sincere condolences to all who knew Sgt Michael Abbate. Rest in Eternal Peace, Sir 🙏✝️🇺🇸 PS: the music in this video is very much beautiful, very appropriate for this occasion.
Rip Sgt Abbate & Trooper Felix. My heart aches for these families. It's always the good people who die during the holiday season. Especially the heroes it happens every year. I remember 2NYPD cops in a patrol car. Eating their lunch and this loser comes right to the patrol car with the windows shut because it was so cold. Just shoots right through the glass, killing both NYPD cops instantly. It was just about this time about 9 years ago. Officer Ramos and officer Liu were killed instantly. Suspect would never face a courtroom. He killed himself a little while later. My late husband knew officer Ramos he worked with him at DHL courier. Before he became a NYPD cop. May they alll RIP. My deepest condolences and sympathy to the families.👮🚓🚔🗽🇺🇸❤️🤍💙😪🕯🙏✝️🎗💐
Wow amazing loving memory of both police officers as months go by I'm starting to see videos awesome job Vegas police dept,I'm still healing my self from this incident Much love to both officers family and kids 💕 I will never forget
Vegas police are different. They are cool guys they do there job without doing stuff that gives them a bad rep like other states. My condolences the boys in blue in this city needs appreciation.
It's sad that these men/women loose there lives from the people that they protect and serve daily it's truly heartbreaking rip officer Michael thank you for ur service to our community
Tons of comments on the other video about them talking. And then they do it on this video too. The talking ruins it! It’s not a parade where you have to point everything out. They should re upload this with just the music. Let the music speak. We came here to watch the procession and honor them, not listen to vocal fillers.
My heart goes out to his wife and his parent and children if he has kids may be have ever lasting piece in the arms of the angels forever young never forgotten amen 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
The level of showmanship for this officer's death clearly must have a POLITICAL MOTIVE. True, this is Las Vegas after all, and I'm sure Sgt. Abbate's spirit appreciates the fanfare as mine would under similar circumstances, yet .. it's all bit too much. Could this level of ceremony be preparing us for an ENDING of our CONSTITUTIONAL GUN RIGHTS or maybe and end of OTHER RIGHTS as well ?? I can't wait to find out and will stay tuned.
You called a cop 'braver' than a common citizen. Its a blue liner, it will scream "OFFICER SAFETY!" if you even have your hands in your pockets or you're standing within 30 feet of him. They're cowards, oath breakers, and have no problem harassing and assaulting the citizenry if they feel they can extract an arrest to pad their stats. What is it the blue line pigs say? ""Yeah, just write a check," "$11,000. He was a cop anyway, he had limited value."@@amy129
You are pathetic! You are rude! You are heartless and uncaring! What do YOU do for a living that being late was such a problem. Are you a Trauma Surgeon at UMC? Are you an Attorney whose client was not given a speedy trial due to a delay? Are you a Casino CEO who has to supervise the cash flow from the pit? Are you a Plumber and somebody’s toilet overflowed? PATHETIC!!!!
