Procharger Supercharger on a 2nd Generation Toyota Tacoma (2005-2015) 

how in the world are they getting 390 at the wheel in the 2nd gen??? I just got the full system for the 3rd gen and hoping it turns out good. If not i’ll just dump tune.

@@jasontodd1141 Im getting 387 lb ft of torque at the wheels, waiting to re run it for my HP cause the dyno got fucky readings after 3.5k rpms

@@jtmiller15 what kind of 0-60 are you getting and what’s the tire set up? I’m on all terrains but most likely going to switch to some ultra high performance tires for street stuff only. I don’t do any off roading so I’m not too worried about it I just gotta find a decent looking set of wheels and rims

​@@jasontodd1141 I lied, I told the dyno shop that 4th was my 1:1 and they ran it in 3rd, my torque was way over estimated. Came out to 294 lb ft of torque. I'm looking to get it re-ran on a dyno because my HP was super low compared to everyone elses. I think the guys running the Dyno were goobers, 0-60 in a little under 8 seconds. Ive got 32" tires on it & about 300lbs of rock sliders, and TRD 17" wheels

If your shopping superchargers I’d recommend URD anyone that had experience with gadget has only good things to say plus they offer a lot more for less

I'm wondering about this ad well. I know you don't put a SC in to get better mileage, but would like to know how much it affects it.

Yeah my TxPro 6speed definitely shifts damn near like a dump truck. I’ve heard the 3rd gens shift buttery smooth.

Well seeing how it takes nothing but a cone filter I'm pretty sure you could just add more piping to it and create your own snorkel kit. Shouldn't be that hard

Actually, yes! We’ve installed and driven TRD, URD, and Magnuson kits on; FJ Cruiser (Magnuson), 3rd gen 4Runner(TRD and Magnuson with and without URD 7th), 2nd gen Tacoma (Magnuson), 5th gen 4Runner(URD and Magnuson), 3rd gen Tacoma (Magnuson), 2nd gen Tundra (Magnuson and TRD), 100 series LC (TRD), 4th Gen 4Runner (URD), and probably a few others 😅 The Magnuson kit on the 3rd gen is phenomenal. We actually have a video of that kit, give it a watch. Our ONLY complaint with that kit is that it’s too quiet. However, that may not be an issue for most people ... As far as direct comparison on the 2nd gen Tacoma Magnuson kit ( The TRD kit is a Magnuson kit, just re-badged. Toyota didn’t build a lot of their kits, Magnuson did... it’s just the tuning in some applications that were different) to this Procharger kit; Procharger has a good deal more power. Magnuson has better low end torque. Magnuson kit you can still utilize a dual battery and snorkel... Procharger you can’t. The Magnuson kit visually on the 2nd and 3rd gen has a cleaner / more OEM look. That’s probably because they’ve been in the Toyota truck game building SC’s for them since the early 90’s Procharger kits has a lot less moving parts and a lot less ancillary hoses / plumbing. Procharger makes way better noises 😃 NOW, on the 3rd gen Tacoma we’re very excited to compare that kit. The TVS1900 utilized on the Magnuson kit is a seriously incredible unit! Insanely smooth power delivery ( and lots of it) and probably one of the cleanest looking kits installed we’ve ever seen.

If you had to pick one for your daily driver which would it be; procharger style or roots supercharger style? Which made more power? Which is more "fun" to drive?

@@shoegum7362 how many oem companies use a centrifugal supercharger, like say pro charger? Ie like ford, Chevy, dodge, even Toyota with trd super charger? To my knowledge none. There’s a reason why oems use a roots style blower, and that’s because they can put a warranty on it. Roots style is much, much more reliable.

@@Efrain.34 no… definitely not. They rob engine hp, generate more heat and are less efficient (roots style)

I watched a video , guy put a Magnuson SC and only got 60 extra hp, and payed 9k including labor, so yea this is the way to go!

@@adventuremotors6351 did a build on a 06 with a TRD SC and other mods, I read you did no other mods to the engine to get up to 380hp, I got a 14 now and just want to be clear that you got up to 380hp with tune with the Pro Charger only, if so.. I'm sold 👍, cause I can't drive this 14 without a SC , been spoiled on a SC for the last 8 years which the last pull I did was at 325hp Thanks

Procharger es un estilo de súpercharger que usa el compresor centrifugal. Yo pienso comprar uno. Si requiere cambio de aceite al mismo tiempo que el cambio de aceite del motor. Limpia el Inter cooler, es muy fácil. El procharger me parece mejor para climas calientes porque no le afecta mucho la temperatura anandida por el motor. Buena suerte. 😊. No reason at all. We could get you taken care of! The main thing we would do first is check of engine to ensure it's healthy prior to installation.

If you watch the freeway part, it looks to be about a 7 second 0-60 which is pretty good for having all that extra overlanding stuff done to it. A stock Tacoma would probably be doing 5 seconds.

Ive got a procharger running on my 5th gen 4runner. Still stock fuel pump. It wont run anything under 93. E85 and other variants require a kit which is about $5k from procharger

yea but procharger the brand itself is very very well known. Not the URD isn’t legit. Love their stuff. Wish URD would make more kits seems like something happened:/
