I’m a 50 y/o Army but I would not mind to see ATEEZ in concert. They had one in California and I missed it. I love listening to their vocalist..hitting those high notes is so pleasing in my ears. Their songs get me going in my power walk.

Ateez have their own in-house production team, Eden-ary with the main producer, Eden. Eden is Hongjoong's mentor, he taught him making music since before KQ decided to build a group around Hongjoong as the leader. All of them are involved in the creative process though and rappers write their own lines. BTW, they also have an in-house choreographers/dance crew, BBtrippin, and both Eden-ary and BBtrippin are very well known and respected in the industry (for example, some members of Eden-ary compose and produce the entirety of Dreamcatcher and BBtrippin choreographed the latest PSY songs, including the one with Suga).

Hala Hala was, and still to this day is my favorite Ateez song. It is absolutely insane, but in all the best ways

Jongho and both rappers are hard to miss. Once you pay a bit of attention to one song, you can pinpoint their voices instantly in all the others

The main vocalist is Jongho, and he is among the most talented if not THE most talented vocalists of 4th gen kpop. If you really want to see what he can do I recommend watching Mayfly Love Poem from the battle of the bands show Kingdom: Legendary War. It’s a cover of IU’s song love poem sung by the Lead vocalist from Ateez (Jongho) the lead vocalist from Stray Kinds (Seungmin) and the lead vocalist from BTOB (Eunkwang) arranged by Eunkwang. And it is one of the most powerful live performances I’ve ever seen.

Ok this comment is just gonna be me fanboying hala hala, I am sorry. First off, I can strongly recommend reacting to hala hala live because WOW. Hala hala is one heck of a song, so impressive all around. Their facial expressions and moves on stages paired with their vocals- aye. I actually saw Ateez live in Germany a bit over a week ago and I gotta say, seeing hala hala performed live with my own eyes and ears is not something I can ever forget. THey are crazy good. Performing like possessed by demons and with such stable vocals I cannot-

The masks and these outfits also form part of a narrative that you've probably seen peppered in some of the other videos of theirs that you reacted to 👌🏽

Thanks for reacting to ATEEZ! The song actually starts with an intro called "Hearts Awaken, Live Alive - Expression Revisited" from their remix album, Treasure Ep. Extra. HALA HALA was released in 2019, so pre-pandemic. They have the masks and the outfits are a part of their (intricate and expansive) storyline which represents an ATEEZ from another dimension also known as the Men in Black Fedoras or HALATEEZ. The member in the middle of the V-formation you were asking about is Seonghwa. If you're interested, you should definitely check out a live performance of HALA HALA, specifically their last promo stage from Music Core (red outfits). They definitely go all out in that one. ATEEZ also has an in-house production team called Eden-ary, which is who produced this song and most of their songs. Hongjoong and Mingi (the rappers) always write for their songs and Hongjoong has been participating in a lot of producing lately. If you're interested, ATEEZ just dropped the title song for their Japanese comeback which Hongjoong wrote and produced: Rocky - Boxers Version.

They are amazing dancers indeed! I remember an Idol Radio appearance where San and Hongjoong were guests with Lia Kim (one of the most famous choreographers in SK, the lady from 1milion dance studios) and she was sooo impressed with them. She especially pointed out their insane flexibility as one of their strong points and how well tgey use it to their advantage with their choreos

This song and video was a continuation to the Say My Name MV so the masks and hats and the whole attire references the suicide squad aka the bad ateez we saw in SMN. These were the first 2 videos that really started that story and are very important to their whole universe. The suicide squad then took a break from appearing and then came back with Answer.

Yes, I really enjoy their formations and dance routines too.

Hala Hala is what made me stan ATEEZ. I loved everything about the perf video and the song. Great reaction - I love hearing about the diff musical layers so thanks !! hope to see more

Some people already told you that the masks are aesthetic, but ALSO they have plot relevancy. In some other videos you can see the "softer" Ateez facing these masked versions of themselves. (You already saw it in Say My Name). We are not quite sure what it means yet, but it definitely means something

This song live is on a whole different level! When they come back to the states check them out, you will leave the arena speechless.

These costumes make appearances in other videos. According to members this dance, Wonderland, and Fireworks are the hardest dances.

This was out before the pandemic it was just a styling choice for their theme concept ...Asian ppl in general have always worn face mask the artist wear them regularly to help keep their voices and throat clean and clear from all the crap in the air which can damage the vocals .

Not that anyone asked, but yes I would like a lot of these outfit pieces in my wardrobe 🤌🏽

I believe that like the majority of their stuff this was written, composed and produced by Eden and the Edenary team who have worked with them from the start and really shaped their music into what it is

And they did it when they were only 4 months group

I don't think they did many, if any, live performances with the masks. They are pretty committed to live singing and masks would obscure their voices. The performance video does highlight a lot of their dancing, but the dark clothes, room, and back lighting makes it difficult to see some moves. If you watch the dance practice where they're wearing regular clothes and have standard lighting, it's even better because you can clearly see how good they are.
