I just got into BTS a week ago and it all started with one song and ended up with me watching their whole life story...lol. I guess I'll remember this quarantine as a really weird time of my life. Edit: omg how did this get so many likes! I got into them from their class of 2020 graduation concert. I'm class of 2020 so I can say BTS performed at my college graduation haha!
i think black swan by bts would be interesting to hear your thoughts. the song has two versions. one is the "normal" version, which is on the album and has an MV with the boys and the second one, which was the initial release video is a different version, which is the "art film" danced by a dance company. the second one is more string heavy. both versions give off different vibes
YES. I always wanna see professional reactions to this video in particular. I think it's a masterpiece and I love getting other insights from people who know what they're talking about.
4:34 "everythin is always trading places for that main spotlight." So cool hearing you say that about the music when that's how they also approach their choreography.
BTS have English captions on their MV'S. As a fan of One Direction and BTS it's great to see you reacting to both. Looking forward to a full album review for BTS!
i would recommend for full albums either love yourself: tear or their newest album map of the soul: 7. i never got into kpop until recently but the thing i think is super cool about bts is how many genres, unit songs, and solo work in each album, it allows them as musicians to shine on their own or collaborate w just a few select members
Production- and arrangement-wise this is one of the most underrated, fly-under-the-radar BTS tracks and it doesn't get nearly enough love as it should.
It kinda feels good to see someone reacting on their music, voice, not just their faces. Not that it is bad. It is just by this, they can know it not only because they're handsome, but because they really are amazing artists, as individuals and as a group, especially if the reactor doesn't focus on only one person in the group but all of them. I feel very proud of BTS. They've come so far yet they're still that lovely K-pop group I first saw them as. Amazing, a family, sweet and strong people and group. I purple those guy seriously.
@@ghuleh969 Not true. At the start it was mostly the rapline who were producing but over the years they've all joined in more and worked on their skills. All members write and produce/compose and atleast 3-4 members always have credits on the songs 😊
@@littlelou050 vocal line have less than 10 credits each, jk and jimin have 1 song as producers the rest as writers as far as I know Jin haven't produced yet only has writing creidts, tae and jk have most creidts and still are few, yes they have helped more over the years but its still mainly rapline that do the music, Im all about hyping bts for making their own music but give credit were credit is due, joon has 140~ creidts and Jhope and Suga 105~ you can't compare those numbers to 5-10 that vl has, and even rapline don't PRODUCE much its mostly writing and composing and those are very different things
Ah I'm so glad you got around to reacting to them, their production is insane! I'd recommend breaking down their album Love Yourself: Tear, one of my particular favorites!
First, thank you for reacting to our favorite 7! As a producer, you will appreciate that they each help write and produce their songs. There are so many great options of their songs to choose from. Each member also has solo songs they do as well. I look forward to watching more of your reactions to BTS!
I love this kind of reaction videos, experts reacting to ones who are in the same field, not the ones who are just in it for the hype. It’s nice listening to you. You definitely know your stuff. You’ve got a new subscriber! 💜
if you react to “map of the soul: 7” i would recommend that you do “map of the soul: persona” first since it has the same first 5 songs of mots:7 + 2 more. mots:7 has 20 tracks in total so having heard those already would make your video shorter and you would get to hear two more amazing songs :) (i explained it as well as i could so sorry if i made any mistakes, english isn’t my first language!!)
I would love if you reviewed one of their albums. The problem is trying to figure out which one to suggest because their all amazing! I discovered BTS last fall and haven't stopped listening to them since.
Its really hard to find a bad bts song, you should try the love yourself:tear album or also react to some of their older music, like the "dark & wild" album. both are really amazing and two of my favorite albums ever. Also dont forget to watch it with subtitles on,,, its sad to miss their genius' lyrics
True. Some of their songs are not really my style and I thought I didn't really like them, but I always find myself jamming and singing the lyrics to those songs.
WE👏WANT👏A👏FULL👏ALBUM👏 PLEEEAASE!!! When I saw you posted this video I LITERALLY started jumping around the room!!❤️ I was happy as hell 😁 For the full album you could react to MAP OF THE SOUL : 7 (the newest) or you could react to LOVE YOURSELF : ANSWER which includes their solo tracks!!! P. S. I LOVE YOUR REACTION VIDEOS❤️❤️
Hey Blake!! Listen to their album "Love Yourself: Tear". I'm pretty sure that you're gonna like it!! Have many of their best songs, i think that's their best album (my opinion). Or maybe you can react to "134340" which is the fourth song in the album, i'ts a pretty good one
Dear , I think its because he focuses more on the production of the song and not on the lyrics ... Its actually really hard to multi task , watching the videos while hearing the music and then you have to also read the lyrics ... If he would do so , he must be repeating it again for just the lyrics reaction , that is what I see from other reactors ...
little context: that's the most "western-sounding" title track in BTS discography, which wasn't very appreciated by the korean community, but, as you may judge from the billion views, the rest of the world enjoyed it
Actually I would say now they make more international music.. Music for more people(because they have A LOT of fans in Europe). So,that for me is progress, and pleasing every fan on worldwide(😂💜),while still being themselves, enjoying every second of every song... I see a lot of Korean fans being jealous,it's just pointless.
People didn't like it because this was where they properly exploded and gained massive amounts of attention from the west. That's why all the comments of this song being too western or generic came from. This song isn't western sounding at all, I couldn't imagine an American or British artist doing this sound. It's a bright, edm/pop sound. It's very much like the rest of kpop
those were antis hahah, korean people or fans enjoyed DNA just the antis on twitter started this "OMG bts now foing EDM songs to approach the west and bla bla bla" many, and i mean many become armys listening to DNA as their first bts song
What do you mean by wasn't appreciated by Korean community? Korean gp liked it. It charted pretty well on Melon. It was played a lot on TV shows. Some gp even know the point choreo. It's only the fandom that thought it was too poppy/westernized
Yes we'd want a reaction to a whole album please. "Love yourself: Tear" album please it was released on 2018 as part of their "Love yourself" trilogy which is "Love yourself:Her", "Love yourself:Tear", and "Love yourself:Answer". It is pretty much a journey on loving yourself and is really liberating once you hear the LY:Answer. Thank you. We'd really appreciate an album reaction. 💜And we'd really appreciate it if you listen to it with the lyrics. There are tons of color coded lyrics on youtube so please listen to the songs with those. We just really love their lyrics. But if you prefer to only listen to the songs then it's okay. Sometimes we don't need to bother about the language just to know and feel the message. 💜
THE WAY I SCREAMED WHEN I SAW YOUR NOTIFICATION OMG!! I'm so happy that you got into kpop ... Please please react to their entire album LOVE YOURSELF: TEAR!!!! and yes we love some diversity :D
oh yes please ,do more BTS, u will be amazed by their music. Like BTS said themselves ,they dont belong to any genre their genre is BTS and u will get that when u listen to their albums(which they have thematic approach and u need to listen to them with the order) .They have massive catalogue of songs from hiphop to house edm, beautiful ballads, new soul etc etc.. They "mix" the sound very well, they take part in the process of creating the songs from producing and songwriting and to not mention the dancing part :) Btw people will argue if BTS belong to the "kpop" genre, they NOT! when u hear kpop u instantly think about bubblegum pop songs, well mostly not and especially about BTS(i can say the last 5 years kpop changed its sound but still some concept remain the same) BTS is just beyond kpop cuz within kpop u feel limited. but anyways, you seem very knowledgeable about music production and you explain it good aswell so that we can understand it,thank you and we ,Armys, BTS's fans we will appreciate to continue reacting to their songs :)
You explain it so well :) I often feel like BTS songs are getting faster and faster and faster but they aren't really. Tempo stays the same but it just gets bigger or fuller.
Yeah id love a full album reactions...I dont understand the whole production stuff I just enjoy the music😊 I'd like to see "Love Yourself: Tear," "Wings," or "Map of the Soul: 7"
I love the details you point out. Most producers I've seen react to kpop rarely seem to point out much actual technical details in their reaction. I'd love to see you react to more kpop
ooo for full albums i highly recommend love Yourself: tear and their newest one map of the soul: 7 those my personally favorites. and if you like those then wings would be nice too
I love! you should react to Black Swan (from BTS too). There are two versions (mv art version and spotify version) and it would be great if you could compare both, I always love your reactions! And don't worry, we'll keep supporting you until you react to Home (hahah I'm kidding)
Yes a full album would be amazing, they really have amazing b-sides. Thing is which one? They have so many lmao. I guess 7 their latest one is a good start though.
My favorite bts albums: Most beautiful moments in life pt.2 Wings Love yourself: tear Love yourself: answer Map of the soul: 7 Thanks for the reaction 💜
This is EXACTLY the type of analysis I expect from producer reactions. I love how you actually broke down the song and explained how the different instruments, vocals, and effects work together throughout the song. We would love for you to make more reactions like these!!!
Some albums you should check out: Kid krow - Conan Gray Salute - Little Mix Inner monologue part 1&2 - Julia Michaels Cry baby - Melanie Martinez Divinely uninspired to a hellish extent - Lewis Capaldi
really enjoyed this! I appreciate how you didn't approach this with judgement or expecting it to be bad or seeing it as "just kpop", because kpop is an unfair way to label korean music since it actually spans from SO MANY genres. your demeanor is so friendly and warm and you provide really great insight into the details of the music I wouldn't have known otherwise. I think BTS will surprise with just their array of styles. Even better, most of the music is produced and written by the members themselves (along with their extremely iconic and respected in-house producers). Here are some tracks that I would love to hear you break down: (with music videos) Fake Love, Black Swan, Save Me, Spring Day, Serendipity, Interlude: Shadow, Blood Sweat & Tears, and (without music videos) Seesaw- my #1 fave bts song. thanks a lot and ill be subscribing, hope to see more bts songs soon!
Blake! React to the Love Yourself Answer album by BTS. A massive range of sounds, I really think you'd enjoy it. I also have a quick question for you - what app do you sing into on your phone to tell what note is being sung? I remember you've used it into a few prior videos but I can't remember what the app is called. Thanks man, cheers
Jin is considered by Grammys panel as a “Silver Voice”, while KMA critics say that Jin sings with heartbreaking emotion, but at the same time is fiery, because when he sings the part After the love “Fake Love”, the effectiveness of the song is perfectly achieved.
theres another version of DNA by bts. The rock version sounds heavier but also sooo good. just want to point it out since you mentioned in the first part of your reaction video that it might not work. but it actually did! hope you can check it out too. ENJOY! :)
I know I'm late to this party here but I'm a huge BTS fan but have just come here from your Billie Eilish reaction and maybe it's leftover feelings from that but I feel like I really wanna see you do RM's mono, but maybe only after first learning and understanding a bit more about the members and their music and the idea behind Mono first =P
I've really always wondered why the same song by the same people can sound so different in another language. The thing about not closing off the end of words is so interesting! It makes so much sense.
