Today I react to EXO and their singing and performance of Sabor a Mi! This is a reaction as a music producer. I aim to react to EXO and their music and performance of EXO Sabor a Mi in Mexico, which was EXO singing in Spanish.

When they held a Music Bank in Mexico, EXO chose a Spanish song to sing for the fans as a gift. They don't speak Spanish but they learned the song and practice the pronunciation so they could deliver it perfectly (which they executed flawlessly dont u agree) EXO does this often before for every country they went to. They learn a native song that is popular in that country, learn it and play it during their concerts

@@RayAndre before, their albums have korean version and chinese version (a little history class 😅: EXO first started with two units consisting of 6 members each unit: EXO-K who sings and promotes in Korean and EXO-M who sings and promotes in Mandarin. But then three chinese members left bec. of how their company unfairly treats them so they merged into just one group: EXO) So yeah, Chinese. They also released Japanese songs. They sing in English, Spanish (this vid). I heard they did a Vietnamese and Filipino song too when they had tour there.

Yeah, they practice to sing in many languages that they don't speak much. Japanese quite often cause they release Japanese albums (including intricate rap in Japanese), Chinese of course (and then Lay would be singing in Korean which is not his native language), English songs, Filipino, Vietnamese, Thai... they really make that effort and it's lovely. My sister is a trained opera singer so she regularly sings in German and Italian etc. which she doesn't speak. I think the ear that singers have developed over years of singing training serves them very well in developing good pronunciation.

The one whose voice u liked is D.O. (his stagename, pronounced as "di ow") real name is Do Kyungsoo The one on the guitar is Chanyeol, their main RAPPER but even he too could sing really really well. He can play a lot of instruments (acoustic guitar, electric guitar, drums, piano etc.) If you are into a group who stands out for their vocals, EXO is your group man. Their vocals would totally make your jaw drop. Especially their live performances. You could check out compilation of their vocals but even those are not enough to see how amazing their live vocals are so you have to watch more and dive in deeper. I'll leave some links below. EXO is the group that has the best vocal quality in the kpop industry right now! The one who plays the guitar is Chanyeol, he is the main rapper of EXO but he also sings really well. He is the most talented idol, he plays many instruments such as guitar (all types), piano, drums, and so on. He's also good at being a DJ. He is a music composer. Sabor a Mi was a song covered by several artists including Luis Miguel but is not actually his song it was composed by Mexican composer and singer Alvaro Carrillo and is as old as time lol originally made in 1959. This song was made popular by Los Panchos. After that many artists have covered it and why would they not it is a beautiful song after all. I really love That EXO thought of putting so much time and effort to cover a song original to the place they were visiting as a gift to their fans. It is something they do quite often, cover a song in the language and popular to the place they are visiting as a way of saying thank you to their fans.

Hahaha none of them speaks Spanish. They barely even speak English. That's why I find them so amazing. D.O. has a knack for languages. His pronunciations are on point even for languages he doesn't speak. He's my bias too. His voice is just so smooth and soothing like hot chocolate

EXO sings in many languages. Korean, Chinese (even their album was made in two versions of these languages since their debut in 2012), they also have songs in Japanese, and sometimes English and Spanish.

I was so impressed as well when I first heard this! Similar to you, I love all their voices particularly D.O. (Doh Kyungsoo) for the same reason that his voice is so soothing in the ears. Among them, he has the most flexible accent, in my opinion. But again I like all their voices (D.O., Baekhyun, Suho, Chanyeol too) coz they complement each other and harmonized very well. Chanyeol (the person playing guitar) is really well-equipped w/ musical instruments.. Diff. type of guitar. drums, piano, etc. He also produce songs. Their vocals are very well displayed as well in EXO’s live Acoustic session. You might wanna check it out.

EXO Acoustic medley next please ! D.O. is the one you liked the most with the smooth vocals Chanyeol is the one playing the guitar, he's actually a rapper but he has a beautiful singing voice ! EXO is a band of 9 members actually, but only these 4 prepared for this short performance in spanish EXO are known as "vocal kings" and "CD eaters" their live performances, acoustics and acapella renditions are just top notch ! Please make sure to check them out ! No, they don't speak spanish, but they learned this song and tried to perfect their accent just to perform it that day in Mexico ! (this was years ago)

This performance showed such sincerity towards their Spanish speaking fans. It’s really wonderful cause they thought to do a specific performance in Spanish and then took the time to learn it. I don’t speak Spanish and I’m not Hispanic but I love this performance not only because it’s good, but because they gave such a sincere gift to their fans. It’s very endearing, like how can you not love them?!

Thank you for posting the extended version of your reaction to this performance! Some members of EXO can play musical instruments. Chanyeol: guitar, drum, piano, he can DJ too, Lay: guitar and piano, Baekhyun: piano, and if I remember correctly Chen and Suho play piano too, but they never perform it on stage. all four did an amazing job, beautiful singing. DO was amazing as always but i love Suho's voice even more. its slightly deeper than the others but equally smooth and very sexy. he probably sang the least in this song but i like him the best

I feel like im watching something illegal coz of the blurred video 🤣🤣 Do Kyungsoo is the smooth guy, Park Chanyeol is the one playing guitar, Byun Baekhyun is the 2nd singing after smooth guy, Kim Junmyeon a.k.a Suho is the one singing the chorus part with Park Chanyeol. 😁

Once in a while, I love looking for new reactions to this video by people who speak Spanish as a first or second language. I enjoyed your reaction and honest opinion on it. I guess what amazes me to this day is how comfortable these EXO members were singing this live. It was no mean feat because Spanish pronunciation can be tricky and you can easily trip up. But they were like, it's no biggie. Just another performance. 😁
