Yes! I was so thrilled to see them in the video and promos! These three were actually my favorite members of SNSD so seeing them all together made me super happy.
To add to the color discussion, I think this music video really vibes with Tiffany's aesthetic. In SNSD, she unintentionally (or intentionally lol) made her fans associate herself with the color pink. The pretty, warm pinks in the music video is very true to her "brand".
Tiffany has said so many times that asian-american representation is very important for her and is one of the many reasons why she is working so hard on her projects, she is very involved in her music and production and she also keeps us updated; i truly love and appreciate what she is doing and i'm looking forward for the album that she is working on.
As an Asian American growing up with practically no representation in the US at all in the media, I find it really weird to see an Asian artist that could be popular in the American industry, that’s how big of an impact no representation had on me for most of my life, because I’m not used to it, and I’m sure a lot of people are the same too (and I don’t mean Kpop). That’s why even though I feel it’s weird, I’m really hoping she succeeds, becomes popular, and well known and respected in the American industry! I like what she’s doing with her music, and I know she’ll get to improve too! I mean if you see Latin music, it practically has its own category now, so if they could do it, I’m sure Tiffany can too! :) Also, vote for her as best new solo artist for I Heart Radio music awards on their Twitter! They made a post to retweet, so retweet it! :D
over my skin is a very good debut song for her as a soloist but i was really disappointed by the mv. but this second single, i love the song and the mv! it is definitely an upgrade. i’m really excited to see her future works. i mean like if she can improves this much from her first song, he can surely be the next big thing.
I won't say "Over My Skin" MV was a disappointment, especially after watching the "making of" video associated with it and understanding what she was working for...but it was nothing like what I was expecting after the dance practice video. She went thru all the trouble of working out the choreo, but where did she use it? Not in the MV, not in any of the (small scale) live performances she did immediately to promote it. Maybe for he actual concerts, idk?
there is actually another Over My Skin MV which is the “original” and the “better” one but tiffany thinks its “inappropriate” so she didnt publish it but i really wish that she would still release it :((
Teach You is directed nd produced by VM Project Architecture, the one that also creates Seventeen MV, I think they put it in a description box of the MV, the MV and song is really good, been listening it on replay! Her overall looks is reaaaly pretty, and those clothes in investigation room are perfect, and the set is amazing.
Tiffany used to talk about colors & fashions and she also said VM(the director) as a scientist. “He’s a scientist, a genius!" so i assume the director intended to do it about the color palette.
Totally agree, as person who study design her MV is so aesthetic. I'm so agree with PD on that particular window scene, 100/100. Also this MV have very clever usage of blank space. It's easy to tell what is the main focus on each scenes.
I'm like 2 years late but this song and the message still very subtle but so satisfying to listen to, it makes so much sense that she did this song, I love it, the message about teaching her ex that he isn't worth it is a message that alot of people need to understand, the music video makes so much sense with message I love it
The video was directed by Beomjin, same director as Red Velvet’s Dumb Dumb and Zimzalabim MVs, and Blackpink’s Whistle MV. It definitely shows some of Beomjin’s distinctive style, with more storytelling continuity mixed in.
I really hope she goes more for this route than OMS “Retro Pop” MV. Many of her fans came mainly from Kpop and I hope she fuses that into her future MV and see comments like this. The most important part IMO is choreo. Even simple choreos would really make people notice her. That’s why I like OMS Choreograph video more than the MV. I know she can dance even if she is the slowest in SNSD, her trainers can still help her. She’ll make it big but she needs time and I think she is still finding her “ground” and experimenting new things. Imagine a collab where Tiffany speaks in English and Taeyeon in Korean. Anything that makes her more noticeable. BTW thanks for a good reaction compared to many other reactors who only talks about the aesthetics and not the music points.

watching this made me wonder because lion heart is heavily inspired by mid-1900s film (more obvious) and holiday is really reminiscent of the same sort of era, early 1900s hollywood (something like la la land but not?) and this is also pretty alike to those. makes me wonder if tiffany was inspired by those music videos or...? either way, it's really cool.
I know you don't take requests, but really wish that you would react to Yuri's Into You. I feel like she is the most underrated and often ignored SNSD member, which is really frustrating cause she is incredible.

I liked it but I hated the talk singing. I think it would have been better if she only talk sang during the chorus. It was a little too much for me which is a shame because otherwise I would have loved the song. The video was gorgeous.
