Here are three reasons why Diana (the Queen of Goosebumps) doesn't sound human. First, she is a contralto, which is the absolute rarest type of female voice. It allows her to sing very dramatic/powerful, very (I mean VERY) deep, very dark, very rich. Second, she has a spectacular larynx. She's been called the vocal Eighth Wonder of the World. Third, she is polyphonic, which means she can produce multiple harmonics within her voice at the same time. This is what allows her to sound like two people at once. (more below) When you add all that up you basically get a person who creates her own auto-tune. She doesn't need electronic auto-tune. She IS her own auto-tune. And the effect when you hear her is totally mind-blowing. It's like she's singing right through you, like a sword straight into your soul. Literally NOBODY else on the planet has a voice like hers. She's not one in a million, she's one in eight billion.
For you, and all those your subscribers and others that may not know, this performance took place on September 25, 2021, during the first season of a new Russian vocal competition called the ShowMaskGoOn. Diana Ankudinova’s cover of the Elvis Presley classic Can't Help Falling In Love, demonstrates Diana Ankudinova has developed into what many vocal professionals say is a true contralto voice type, and for those that don’t know what a contralto is, it’s the lowest kind of female voice, and a true contralto is very, very rare. During past interviews, Diana said she was unhappy with her lack of a higher vocal range, which kept her out of the more prestigious Russian music academies. Diana, along with her vocal teacher decided to concentrate extensively on developing a higher vocal range. Now, a female's vocal range helps in defining voice type, and in 2017, at the age of 13, her vocal range was measured from a low of D3 to a high of A5, which is very good for a 13-year-old girl. In September of 2021, at age 18, during her Can’t Help Falling In Love performance, her vocal range was again measured, and her functional vocal range now measures from a low of C3 (male tenor range) to a high of B♭5, (Mezzo Soprano range). During Diana’s opening of Can’t Help Falling In Love she shows her low contralto range. Her upper range improvement is also on full display during the middle portion of this performance. The depth and power of her voice in her lower range further define Diana as a "Dramatic Contralto", which is the rarest of the rare contralto voice types. Dramatic Contraltos have the deepest, darkest, and richest sound and are the most powerful of the contralto voice types. At the end of this performance, the power of a “dramatic contralto” voice is on full display. But it's not just how low she can go, it's in the exceptional quality of her tone in the lower range of her voice. It's in the roundness, fullness, and depth of her voice, plus her ability to access, and use an enormous amount of resonance. The most asked question asked is how? How can such a young female singer achieve these low, rich, deep, and resonant sounds? Without scoping her vocal tract while she is producing these low notes to actually see what is happening within her vocal tract, again the general conciseness of many vocal professionals is simply attributing Diana's ability to winning the genetic lottery, meaning she was just born with her unique vocal anatomy. Diana's vocal folds (vocal cords) appear to be longer and thicker than most female singers. Her larynx appears to be larger and her pharynx similarly appears to be longer than most female singers, plus she has a large oral cavity (mouth). It’s this unique vocal anatomy that appears to give Diana Ankudinova the ability to produce the low, deep, rich, and full sounds she is known for, but without actually scoping her vocal track to verify, there is no way to be 100% sure. Diana has also mastered a vocal technique known as polyphonic singing which is an extraordinary accomplishment for so young a singer. Someone that has mastered this polyphonic singing technique can create up to two, different tones at the same time which can add to the harmonic overtones that can make it sound like more than one person singing. It is this polyphonic singing ability, that some people believe Diana Ankudinova is using some form of artificial electronic voice manipulation or she is using some kind of pitch correction software to alter or adjust her sound. Others believe another person is singing off stage in the background, or Diana is lip-syncing over a previously recorded vocal track that was altered or modified. No artificial manipulation of Diana's voice is happening at all, and no one else is singing off stage, nor is she lip-syncing to a vocal track. Other voices and music you are hearing are all backing tracks used to fill in and round out the performance along with the musical score. Diana Ankudinova and only Diana Ankudinova is singing Can't Help Falling In Love. During this competition, Diana was the last to perform during the final week with her cover of "Can't Help Falling In Love" during "The ShowMaskGoOn!" competition. Diana was competing against other professional singers who also doubled as judges. This new vocal competition was televised over nine weeks one episode per week with the other professional singers/judges competing against each other. Based on their individual performances they awarded judging points to each other. When not actively competing herself, Diana was also a member of this judging panel. Every week, each singer took the stage and performed a different song over each of the nine weeks. Each contestant was required to sing a different song from a different genre using different styles. The ShowMaskGoOn! concluded on November 20, 2021. During Diana's final performance, the male judge in the top row, the first to stand is the well-known Russian opera tenor, Yusif Eyvazov from Azerbaijan. He was invited to participate as a special guest judge for this inaugural competition. At the end of Diana's performance, she receives a standing ovation from all her fellow competitors. One of those competitors is a well-known contemporary Russian singer, Julia Parshuta. Julia is in the center row dressed in red, and looks totally lost at the end of Diana's performance, then puts both hands on top of her head, with a look of total shock and bewilderment. Finally, The Show Must Go On competition concludes with Diana Ankudinova being awarded the most judging points and was declared the overall winner of this new competition!
I would describe Diana as a Mesmerizing, Hypnotic Female Siren from Greek Mythology. I'm completely dumbfounded every time I hear her perform. How in the world can a teenage female sing like that! I've been to her channel and she has over 1 million subscriber's. You don't get to that level unless you have something special. No doubt Diana has a special God given gift. I know of no other teenage female on RU-vid that can sing like her. She's in her own exclusive lane when it comes to teenage female singers. She makes the Impossible, Possible.

You can not compare artists because you never know what someone likes that someone else doesn't but if we are talking about technical abilities Diana is straight up second to no one, a true musical genius, there is no performance of hers that goosebumps are not present, the voice of mother Earth. The low voice is her natural timbre as a contralto but this does not limit her high notes in anyway.
I can imagine her standing on top of the mountain with earth burning down, summoning Gods energy with her arms open ready to fight a demon to save the end of the world and wind blowing her hair. Just incredible.

Lovely! I prefer female singers with a low voice, it is more mesmerizing then singing in a high range. I think I heard her a couple of times but I listen to a lot of music, have to check her our a little more.

Диана с Димашем не пели и не встречались на сцене, хотя знают друг о друге и уважают. Мы бы хотели видеть их всесте, возможно, в дуэте , но это мечты. Они уникальны по своему и прекрасны по отдельности.
I dont listen to her, but I can definitely acknowledge her immense talent! I only know of her because many people who love Dimash love her. I absolutely love Dimash. My favorite in the world. Diana has an amazing voice, but this song fits her voice perfectly well. Although, I can't find another performance of hers that i enjoyed as much as this one. Shes not my favorite and i dont think she has one of the best voices in the world like Dimash, but i do think shes on the top.
The singing at the end is Cher on steroids. :) A polyphonic Cher. Cher also is a dramatic contralto like Diana is. :) She could also be a polyphonic version of THE Maria Callas. Just a god dang diva on the new twenties.
