His song, Take Me Out of the Dark, the Live version in his home studio, is truly moving although you never see his face, just his silhouette in a dark studio. He also wrote the music of the song Could You Be Messiah for christian musical that he rearranged more recently for Morisette to sing. That performance by Morisette tugs at the heartstrings big time. GARY V is named as "Mr. Pure Energy", In 1984, my first time to see his concert up front and had a handshake while he was performing. 2nd time I saw him in Montreal, Canada in late 2000's for his concert and had the opportunity to have a photo with him and had his autographed CD album and watched his concert again...He's a very good performer, singer, dancer, good lyricist, composer and producer...His eldest son is a lead vocalist in a band and his youngest KIANA is a singer as well so as his wife(his former back up singer in his younger days). he's the first singer that I watched who sings and dance, he's full of energy...

Yes, Gary Valenciano is noted for his very soulful performances and does his choreography during his concerts. He is a well respected mentor and role model to many of the younger male vocalists. You might want to watch "Sa Yahweh ang Sayaw"(Live from Arise) on his youtube channel. He was playing the Kulintang, a native percussion in the intro. You'll also get to see his dance moves. Then there's Take Me Out of the Dark (live and raw). Or my most fave song of his Could You Be Messiah, he even made a new arrangement of it for Morissette.

This is a cover of Chick Correa's Spain. Chick Correa was backed up by an orchestra on the instrumentation bridge wheras Gary did a vocal instrumentation. Not an easy feat as only a master could pull it off. Haven't seen a similar skill so far. One of a kind.

he's 58...they're lying! me: uhmm, watch him perform his dance songs at his concerts and you'll surely think it's really a lie. hahaha. thing is, he's all energy personified despite the fact that he's diabetic and has defied death at least twice (cancer and heart attack). oh, he's also extremely knowledgeable and skilled about the tech prod stuff. you should see what he did during the pandemic in his home studio, just coz he's high risk, for health reasons. there's a very big reason he's mentor for many of the younger singers.

Singing and dancing isn't even his biggest achievement. He's a cancer survivor, beat a heart condition, battles diabetes his entire life, reached 60 years and is still doing shows, does cycling like he's 20 and still loving life.
Gary has never stopped performing on stage since the 6th/7th grade with his school band, Kundirana. He’s grown his career to what it is now where he’s an inspiration for the younger generation of OPM, including P-Pop. The control you see is from +/- 50 years of nonstop musical artistry. He is a legend in the Philippines and his mastery deserves to be heard around the world.
