I am 51 years old I have Hunted since I was 13 over the years this can call is the only 100% call I have ever used that I can say definitely works 8 out of 10 times I have had bucks Run past dows looking for the sound don't know about that long call but it has always worked very well for me

Yeah I found out the hard way what happens when they get even the slightest bit wet. It goes from deer, to sometimes a dying chicken sound then nothing. My walmart stopped selling them and I had to wait a very long time for my new one to show up from amazon. Thanks for the idea of keeping it in a zip-lock instead of my pocket! Def, gonna be doing that from now on so it last longer. Hopefully primos fixes that inconvenience with them. Oh another thing, don't drop them either. Even the slightest bit of dirt inside of them will mess them up as well. Another tip I learned with these cans is that you dont have to use your finger to cover the hole. You can actually blow in them to produce the sound as well. Just be careful not to get spit in them though lol

I use one a good bit and I shorten my cycle too. I actually have moved to a mouth call that I do the Estrus Bleat on. Good video though. I like how you have the deer quotes in there.. lol that's funny. Anyways I came here from Homesteading with Dutch. Hope we can make friends too.

Can someone tell me how ur supposed to use this I have heard long bleats scare the deer so is it u just flip the can or use short bleats

When I got the first one, the instructions said the sound should be about 3 to 5 seconds. Primos has sence changed that to shorter bleats because the longer one sounds like a distress call.

Great review. However, I've found on opening day when the field is overrun with pumpkins, calls don't work.

Post rut is a good time because like all boys ,the bucks are still looking for more...doe's that haven't come in to heat yet or weren't bred successfully the 1st time around... Timing is everything...

I never go deer hunting without the primos can...i call deer all the time. It really works
