Install was pretty straight forward, had to use a rubber mallet to lightly tap the end cap in place. The hardest part of the install for me was when I was trimming back about 2" of the packing material and didn't realize my gloves had holes in them until I was all done and wondering why my hands itched and felt like they had something stuck in them lol.
What happens to the bike/engine/ECU, etc if I add this Pro Moto Endcap and don't change anything else...2017 FE 350. If Im just looking for better sound, not performance, will adding this end cap hurt anything system wide (too lean)?
Is it necessary to have to remap the ecu or tune the tps after modifying the exhaust? I have seen a video where they were saying you had to with these end caps. Pretty sure it was from the guys that designed them. I would have thought EFI would take care of the bike being too lean after the mod?
Any modification to the intake or exhaust will make it too lean. Re-mapping and TPS adjustments will not fix it. The only cure is the Vortex ECU >>>>> slavensracing.com/product-category/electrical/ignitionecu-components/
Options from other vendors are actually more expensive and don't have a USFS approved spark arrestor. They do have a spark arrestor but NOT approved and therefore NOT legal.
