I always us small mouth jars, i like the shoulder as it helps hold solids below the liquid. Frys in Arizona had loads of Kerr small mouth lids but they were $3.99 a dozen. I have loads stored up from 2020, they're still sealing perfectly.
I have a lot of Tattler lids, so the shortage hasn't been a problem for me. I just want to support new companies and pass along the information about how the lids are working. So many people have gotten ripped off.
I just bought 12-pk of regular ball lids from Menards in Dolton, il. They were 3.49. They only had Pur brand for the wide mouth. They were 4.99. I thought I'd look at a review before I opened them. Thanks.
I bought a dozen each of regular and wide mouth pint Pur jars from our farm store. They were $15 each. I loved the regular mouth, but quite a few of the bands on the wide mouth were out of round. I had to use them because that's all I had. Taking the bands off was a chore and one got so stuck that when I did manage to get it off it popped the seal on the jar. I probably should have inspected them a bit better before I started.
Kerr and Ball let us down so I am done with them. I am now buying Golden Harvest lids. I have had a few of them in the past and they worked fine so now I have stocked up on them.
Golden Harvest is made by Ball and only comes in regular mouth size. I have used them for many years, but they have not been available around here lately.
I have no idea. Comments don't appear until I approve them. Otherwise folks sometimes leave obscenity, pornography links and just general nastiness. I have approved two of your comments. If there is another one I don't see it.
@@DebbiesBackPorch Thanks so much for letting me know. Very good idea to screen comments. I'm not a RU-vidr so I didn't know that content creators could screen them. I had been concerned that maybe you just didn't like me for some reason lol 😂🤣. Have a great day & God Bless!
I agree lol 😂🤣 thanks for the good laugh! So sad & ironic & true! My parents are retired in Florida & told me there was no meat on the shelves in their region. I've been growing much of my own produce which helps a lot but there are some things I can't produce myself here in suburbia.
