linktr.ee/back40firewood When we go into full production mode in the woodyard it is not always for firewood. More of everything Back 40 Firewood here: www.back40woodhound.com #back40firewood #woodhound #firewood
Main camera is iPhone 15...and has always been the iPhone (whatever model I had) and then occasionally the GoPro for action shots that need the stabilization.
Great video, thanks for sharing the “behind the scenes”, very interesting. Your previous experience in producing sure makes your content very good. 👏🏻🇺🇸
Hi Dan, I enjoyed the video, very interesting how you spend the time moving cameras and positioning them and Amanda's part in helping ( I said bless you out loud both times she sneezed). Keep up the awesome content.
One thing I've noticed is that you have a LOT of original ideas and... some of them are great ones. This video is a prime example. I realize you don't ever want to give away all your secrets but I (and I'm sure many others) would love to see even more behind the scenes on content creation. Thanks for sharing! 👊👊👊
I like the behind the scenes stuff. Dan, can you go into how you deal with the constant “pressure” needing to create more content. Do you have days were you don’t film at all and just enjoy splitting wood? Also, how do you keep your footage organized once you put it on a harddrive? Do you store by day, by topic, by camera device used etc
Yep I have days I don't film and days I film more than one video. Don't really feel 'pressure' on the content creating side of things. Once I am done editing I trash all source files and just keep the final version that is uploaded.
Howdy Jeff, amazing the way Dan and Amanda work Together. A BIG Thank You for Friday night Live Shout out. My Wife just got Diagnosed with COPD. We are good for now. Be in touch, Buddy, stay Safe, and Hydrated. Ron from the Woodyard in Duanesburg NY.
Nicely done and explained. I know just watching you over the years. I have changed a few things, and I think I have gotten better. Overall, it's not bad for me being a 1-man band.
I enjoy your videos this camera angle you like like a giant and Amanda looks so tiny lol compared to the splitter but enjoy your time with her I wish my wife enjoyed helping with firewood like yours does it me and my daughter for wood splitting and cutting
Great explanation, Dan. I once heard another RU-vidr say that even though his was a woodworking channel, he was more of a content creator than a woodworker. Also, the multiple camera angles give us a better view of you nailing the carport with a piece of bark lol. Bill
Yep that's pretty much how I look at it...a content creator with firewood as the subject matter...lol...I haven't hit any bark off the carport for awhile now, I'm overdue! Hahaha
QQQ Dan Running the Lights on the Ceiling of your Carport is that Why you Made that Not just to keep the Rain Off your Equipment and Can you Show your lights from the Ceiling facing Down 👍
Well the protection from the elements, rain, snow, sun is main reason for the carport. But then blocking the natural light makes a need to have lights.
Great Video as always Dan. You and Amanda do a great Job of Team Work. Nice Oak also, for your Mini Firewood Sales, or Boiler Wood. Stay Safe the Both of you, and Well Hydrated. My Helper my Wife Sue was just Diagnosed with COPD. So we are trying to figure out about how much my Wife (Sue) can help me. I will let you Know.
Thanks...glad you enjoyed. I find topics like this interesting and like seeing perspectives from others so thought it might be something interesting to show.
Amanda also adds a much needed aspect to the splitting of the wood besides the cam set up. She brings a different audience at times and also she proves to those who doubt a woman's ability to handle a tough job is a false belief. I would suggest a yoga pant/shorts sponsorship for sure! Amanda I for one really appreciates your presence in the splitting videos.. Make sure you and the Little man are on the compensation list.
