I like how this is the one that got a "good attempt" when it was both one of the ugliest as well as one of the least useful projects in the whole video.

You can get anti-slip mesh. Not saying they certainly did. But it's not even certain they made it to be used while driving. Surprise decorating a town with crocheting/knitting is a thing, why not make a decorative steering wheel cover that keeps it from getting too hot in the sun?

The core of steering wheels are made from hard plastic, the part that detiorates is the rubber coating. Donut did a video on Etsy car accessories not too long ago where they ordered a crochet steering wheel cover, and even after properly wrapping it...yeah, not great.

IIRC, that feature's called a closet in Europe because they're added-on later. They typically use wardrobes, which are just big-ass dressers, but in the US we just make the additional space when designing a house and build our closets in as tiny rooms.

It's a content farm that is just trying to get views and engagement with no regard for the effects their content has

Maybe it's just a broken pair of glasses 😂 I too use different glasses at home... Usually, broken ones I won't mind wearing out . My home glasses is literally glued and taped all over... I only use my good glasses at work since they kinda expensive to replace 😂

Many of those projects looked practical, but ugly. *All* of 5min is fake, impractical, deadly, but "good looking" results.

Let me know if the egg separator is worth the extra work when a bowl + bottle is enough.

It's cheap burglar prevention. Think about it. Even if you find some idiot that would tempt fate by targeting that car over *any* other on the street, the increased police surveillance would probably catch them for you. Just, don't expect to make new friends...

But if you just use that same space to make a shelf on the inside the closet, whatever you store on it will collect less dust.

Seriously though, bet it was a mismatch on the blueprints and contractors that were fed up with the designer, or a designer that just answered with, "It's in the blueprint!" Though I suppose it could've been a kit assembly that was made for a lower ceiling height.

Agreed; that E-350 with the F-150 longbed bolted on to what I presume was an Excursion frame was pretty brilliant. From my understanding, every body-on-frame Ford from that era could pretty much be bolted together like Legos, as all the body mount points were standardized. The first one is probably removable and just attaches to the trailer hitch, which would be great if you wanted to keep the cargo area nice. I had a '94 Suburban that had a super-nice interior, but the cargo area was pretty rough, so I'd just toss motors, transmissions, and pallets of sand in there. It worked, but something like this would have been cool, especially if you were traveling with a crew of 7 employees.
