He can be funny, serious, has strong sense of integrity, he's independent.... very much like Ren actually. And a fantastic lyricist! I’m a new Prof fan, his song “Feed The Dogs” I really like.

I find that Prof's style is similar to Ren in many ways & I also see Prof as more of an artist then just a rapper. Prof produces his own beats, sings, raps with multiple flows & cadences, plus he has an unbelievably large and loyal fanbase online. Profs last album was released almost a year ago titled "Horse", & it was #8 on the Billboard Album Charts, as well as #1 on Billboards emerging artists & #64 on the Billboard 100 Hot Artists list in April 2023. Ren's "Sick Boi" album Charted #1 on the Official UK Music Charts & was in the Top 100 on Billboard, plus Ren ranked #4 on Billboards emerging artists & #54 on the Billboard 100 Hot Artists list in December of 2023. They both accomplished all of these things with no label to fund the album, promote or back/support their releases with media coverage or advertising. Just like at first with Ren's playlist it seems everything is serious and profound but the more one checks him out, you see how wonderfully diverse his music is, PROF is much the same, only in reverse. Sure, he has some delightfully playful jams, but please just check out joints like 'Louisiana' and 'Heaven', and you'll see what a remarkable artist Pookie truly is...and not to even mention his paintings featured in the Gallery. Also, and though being in Florida I have not as of yet had the privilege, his live shows are legendary. Please dip your toe into PROFs catalogue.. you won't be disappointed! 😊

A lot of Prof is great, good hooks and nice tone, great writer but also quite a few cheerful ones. There are different faves out there... Mine is Devils Gate but Horse is a great funny one, or Pack a Lunch with Redman

Ive been to hundreds of concerts. A lot of hip hop shows... Prof throws the best show of any hip hop artist ive seen. Check out his soundset performance on youtube. Shit was bonkers and i was lucky enough to be there for it!!

Great reaction guys, just a little back story on Profs song Louisiana IF you all choose to go down that path. Prof is I believe born, def raised and current in south side Minneapolis. George Floyd was killed a block or 2 from his house so all of the footage came right from the epicenter of the 2020 riots. Louisiana more of a symbolic cry to his city to get their S together or he's out.
