It is so important to remember that everybody makes mistakes. It's just the impact of these mistakes that varies depending on the profession. Whilst a mistake in an office might decrease the income of that firm, mistakes in any medical sector CAN have a devastating and life-changing impact. Especially in the ER and in a stressful situation, mistakes do occur. Often, they are discovered before it comes to any harm, or their consequences are not severe. However, just as Dr Carly said, not only the patients and their family suffer but the staff as well. So to prevent mistakes, stress management is vital. Not just for the individual but the whole hospital system as well.
