I dare say this will be the only kill all/shotguns only run on RU-vid in a very long time (unless someone read this and decides to do one just to spite me lol). This is definitely the most frustrating kill all run so far, not because the gun type is bad (although it kinda is in long range fights) but because you run out of ammo every damn time. Each area took no less than 2-3 hours since I had to restart if I could not get any ammo drop for the next area. Even with preserving loots and selling/rebuying guns, you will see my ammo hits 0 after those bad areas with heavy fights... For a particular example, if the RNG gives a regular enemy 2k HP and you can only shoot him from afar, get ready to waste 6 bullets just for that one guy... The knifes literally did half the work in this run. If you attempt this and manage to finish chapter 4, trust me, you are already a pro... P/S: One more thing since I ran out of space in the description. In chapter 1, I had to choose to either kill Dr. Salvador or kill all enemies in the Lakeside Settlement. I chose Dr. Salvador cuz I guess people prefer that one, and then I had no ammo left. Technically I couldn't have killed all enemies in the Farm as well without some lucky ammo drop there
@@richardmartin7904 Not sure about that one. It's almost identical to a knife only run, which I'm not terribly interested in doing. Also, I can assure you that that run will be really boring to watch
No one as far as i know do this run.but theres a few player with unlimited ammo and just run run run run...i called it CLOWN LEON or MEME PLAYER mehewhheehe
Selling/rebuying guns to replenish your ammo is an interesting option. It is a shame that the game won't restock your ammo after upgrading the capacity of your gun. The original did that.
dude, this is seriously one of the best playthrough I've ever seen. well thought, planned, and executed. I just started to try this shotgun run because of your video, but on NG+ because I easily chicken out if I face 0 ammo lol, awesome play man !
Jesus Christ you make it look SO easy. Like real talk, im sitting here at nine hours playtime, on chapter 10 on normal mode without any restrictions (so i use my whole arsenal) and im struggling A LOT on some fights, sometimes dying multiple times. This game is truly a masterpiece and very hard even on normal. Congrats on this run, its damn clean for what it is and im very impressed by the skills needed to perform this.
Really hoping for a crossbow only run. Favorite gun in the game and though powerful in a regular run, when you can use it sparingly, it may be a challenge when that's all you have.
Hoooly shit this is one of the most insane runs l’v ever seen If l throw this challenge on any one in the RE community they will say it’s impossible until they seen this run The ammo management is insane!!
@@MasterKD At first l was saying why he is not selling his grenades why he is not breaking all the pots why and why And why, then l noticed that you are maximizing the chances to drop more shotgun ammo ! Am like hooooly this guy is a god on managing his bag like people doesn’t know how hard this run is !! Thanks for this ! I enjoyed it a lot
Seeing you blast rats with a shotgun never gets old, man. Leon's had enough of them dodging his knife. 😁 But hey, "my advice? Get them to bunch up, then send them flying with a blast of this! Heheheh!" (Sorry, I had to. You probably got so sick of hearing that line!)
I mean that's part of the reason I added the 100% accuracy restriction Except for chapter 1, other chapters took me more than 20 hours each. Can't say there was no effort
Watching you try to shoot that lone ganado granny in dynamite valley while using multiple shotgun bullets at a distance was one of the funniest things I've ever seen in a RE4 run.
@@MasterKD I see sometimes when I watch Carci's no damage Pro run part 1 Village during that Del Lago fight he does say holding the harpoon longer deals more damage I've been practicing it a little bit and I feel it kind of works
Dude, the part at the... mining camp? Settlement? Whatever the village is called right outside the abandoned factory.. Anyway, the last old lady with the stick of dynamite. I love the technique... you wait.. for it.. she lights it, you bump into her, and keep running. Boom!😅 never seen that, pretty clever!
Between the crafting costs and how rarely it drops, it seems as tough the game considers shotguns to be this beast of a weapon class....but in my experience, handguns and rifles are the true MVPs
Hey bro, how about this challenge: A run just using the Broken Butterfly but you can use all kind of grenades, consumables, items and knife (obviously XD), the only rule is not use another principal weapon more than the Broken Butterfly, I would love to see that run, especially because the Broken Butterfly is my favorite weapon of the game, i´m from the old school that loves revolvers jaja XD
@@loneranger8392 I only skip cutscenes in later challenge runs, since that's what most people want. It gets repetitive I will not skip them in the first walkthrough run
@@MasterKD well, then maybe it is the right thing but I really love those videos, you are a genius, just would like that I could enjoy them at max settings and res, maybe think about it, it may have been just fatigue of the same thong and you just needed a time out
Dude, i wish you get S+ Rank with just 2 weapon only like Handgun + Shotgun only. I think if you maintain this initial pistol + shotgun sure is less harder for S+ Rank. Because you will low ammo for shotgun and Handgun can give a big support.
Four months late but if you’re wondering, it’s so he gets the weapon back loaded since he doesn’t have any ammo. Basically a expensive way to buy some bullets
Hey man, i wanna ask you something as a person who played a lot of re 4 remake. Did you noticed some delay between pressing muse button and shooting by a game character? I feel it so much, especially after playingcompetitive shooters, here its kinda ridiculous, especially when there was nothinglike this in re 2 remake, re3 remake, village and re7, but in re 4 it allways feels like half or third of second delay, like in battlefield 4 when shooting revolver.
There are like 12 enemies in this area. You can't kill them all with just 5 bullets If I wasted my ammo here, there wouldn't be enough ammo/money for the dynamite alley
@@MasterKD then there shouldn't be 'kill all enemies' in the title imo. Don't get me wrong, I watch a lot of your runs and have huge respect for your skill, I just don't think it's fair in this case
@@fufaev pretty much all these kill all videos are invalid except for the handgun video, since it's impossible to kill all enemies in chapter 1 Heck, even my knife only run is invalid since I had to use the sg in some area It's just the nature of the game. If you cant overlook it, then yeah, this video shouldn't exist I personally don't think it's fair either to deem a whole video invalid just because the game isn't designed for the challenge to work, and at the same time invalidate the effort I put into it
@@MasterKD yeah I just thought about it while you were writing this, the whole "kill as much enemies as possible" thing doesn't really work for a title so I came to the same conclusion as you after writing the initial comment. I just remember as well some kill all enemies run of yours when you run away from the very first enemy of the game and I remember being frustrated about it, but I kept watching till the end because of how good the rest of this run was. Guess I just needed to address this frustration even though I eventually understand what kill all enemies means, being a perfectionist sucks. Sorry for wasting your time, thanks for the reply and good luck on the next runs. I'm personally waiting for an S+ run with guns
@@linconmendeFYI, starting from chapter 7, the drop rate of small resources isnt that bad. It's just that the game will not drop small resources at all if you have at least one in the inventory. So if you want to see it drop, you will have to use up all small resources in your inventory
This is pretty much impossible. You have to kill all enemies in the water hall in Ashley sequence. And guess what? 6 bullets from the vanilla starter shotgun is not enough to kill one zealot in the higher platform...
@MasterKD Thanks to your other video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lFg8psKnQRE.html I was able to make it thru just the first chapter in the village where I kept dying. I've followed it as best as I could but had to take damage since I'm not as good. But still I was able to progress till the end thanks to your amazing walkthru. It's the best one I've seen. And now this Shotgun/Knife Only?!? That's crazy but obviously you got the skillz!
No hitting RE4R is a different level of hell. Even the no-hit veterans like Carcinogen hate this game for no-hit runs. You're MEANT to take damage. Don't feel bad about it.
@@OdysseusKing I didn't stress out about taking damage. I just said "eff it I'm not trying to be pro here." Normally I would use 1-2 GRY for tough battles. Other times just a single green herb, viper, chicken egg, or something for a small recovery. I took it slow and stealth whenever possible. I kept trying after dying and eventually got the rhythm down. The walkthru got me thru a good deal of the scenarios, but sometimes the enemies didn't behave exactly as in the walkthru so I had to do what I could to get thru it...a round-house kick here, a shotgun there, a shot to the face there, a stealth stab in the neck there, etc. Good thing the game gave me enuf to replenish to have at least 5 GRY on hand at all times. By the end of the game I still had 7 spray cans that I didn't use. I sent the spray cans to storage.
